God had Noah build an ark so he would not be destroyed with the wickedness of this world.
 
I believe we, too, build an ark based on that which God has told us to do so we will not be swept away in the end times.
 
When you look at my life, I think you can see that ark.
 
My job is to exhort the church and God gave me ways to do that in this period of time.  (Blog, Podcasts)
 
exhort:  to urge earnestly by advice and warning
 
So many of the recent messages have been on the fact that the things we can see with our natural eyes are very temporary.  (II Peter 3)
 
God will judge the world ... We are to judge the church.  (I Corinthians 5)
 
For us, live in peace.
 
Stay in your ark where you can live in peace.
 
Genesis 6
 
5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
 
6 And it repented the LORD that HE had made man on the earth, and it grieved HIM at HIS heart.
 
7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth ME that I have made them.
 
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
 
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
 
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted HIS way upon the earth.
 
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before ME; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
 
14 Make thee an ark ... (God told Noah how to do this.)
 
22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
 
Genesis 7:16   and the LORD shut him in.

Before Coronavirus hit in 2020, God moved me to Colorado where I live in the home of Pam Padgett.  I'm so glad not to have been alone during this time.
 
I'm also very glad not to have responsibility for physical property.
 
And I usually have plenty to do daily in keeping up the blog and Podcasts.
 
As long as I do my assignment, the time flies by.
 
I'm sure each of us are assigned things to do.
 
And if time does grow heavy, we can ask God to fill our day.  I often do that.
 
For me, I feel I could not stand being around people who live in various torments of this life.  I think I would end up going down with them.
 
The devil often tries to get me to reach out to them and "help them".  But I have a pretty strong view of my assignment from God.
 
Recently I received an email from a man who says he is a pastor and he wanted me to be his "mentor."
 
(I'm pretty sure this man is not of God for I know God is our "mentor" if Jesus has assigned us to work as HIS minister.)
 
This man wanted me to have weekly phone conferences with him in another country.  Then he wanted me to come to his country (in Africa)  and work with the other ministers.
 
(I've had several e-mails like this where men who say they are pastors want me to come to their country, at my own expense, and help them.)
 
I'm 83 years old.  I cannot travel.  (Actually I can't even walk without walker and then only very little.)  Sometimes I ride to dog park or grocery store with Pam but I never get out of the car.  And there are times even that short trip is difficult for me and I have to lie down and rest when I get back to my room.
 
But I am able to write and record for hours per day, usually without being tired.
 
(I know my assignment from God.  Other humans often want me to do their assignment.  But I stay with that which God has shown me I am to do.)
 
Each of us have to work out our lives so we eliminate those people and things which greatly torment us and set our paths to live in peace with the remaining time.
 
I Thessalonians 5:21  Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
 
Matthew 11:30  Jesus says:  For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.
 
The yoke of other humans is hard! difficult! draining!  destructive!
 
James 3:17   But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Also there are several people God has shown me I cannot be around for they "dump" their troubles on me, and thereby they would pull me down with them.
 
They will not do Philippians 4:6, though they say they are the church.
 
Philippians 4:6   Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
 
They say they are Christians but they do not show themselves to be believers.  They show themselves to be unbelievers, for they do not take their problems to God in prayer but they tell me their troubles.
 
II Corinthians 6
 
14  Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
 
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
 
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.
 
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you,
 
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be MY sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Ministers called by Jesus share God's views with the church thereby glorifying God

Many ministers in today's churches glorify themselves by sharing what they think.  These are ministers of Satan as they seem to be "angels of light," deceiving churches.
 
Paul says: II Corinthians 11:13-15   For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
 
Some years ago, I heard the Catholic pope say on TV news that he didn't see anything wrong with homosexuals.
 
I screamed out:  "What about the Bible."
 
Romans 1:26-27  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:  And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
 
The scriptures glorify God, showing God's view of the situations.
 
The Catholic pope glorifies himself giving his views.
 
A divorced woman wanted to remarry.  She went to a pastor to see if she, being divorced, could remarry.  The pastor said, "My sister divorced and remarried.  I don't see anything wrong with this."
 
So this woman remarried after divorce.  Later she was born again and began reading the Bible and saw by the various scriptures that the divorced woman who remarries commits adultery.
 
The pope and the pastor lead people into damnation, failing to present the Word of God on the issue.  And they glorify their own selves by their own opinions.
 
Ministers of God glorify God by presenting the views spoken by God.
 
Galatians 1:8  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
 
10-12  For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
 
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.  For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
 
Damnation to every minister who speaks his own opinions and fails to share the words of God on the matter at hand.
 
The Words of God are salvation to us who believe, and those Words glorify God when we speak them.

In today's church, ministers of Jesus are called by Jesus from heaven.
 
The apostle Paul tells king Agrippa about his calling by Jesus from heaven to be a minister of Jesus.
 
Acts 26   Paul says:
 
12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
 
13  At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
 
14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou ME? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
 
15  And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And HE said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
 
16  But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
 
17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
 
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in ME.
 
19  Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
 
Today, each minister of Jesus is called from heaven by Jesus, as was Paul, and put into the ministry offices by Jesus according to the will of God.  It is not by his own will that a minister to the New Testament church goes into the ministry.  It is by the call of the Spirit of Jesus.
 
Ephesians 4
 
8 Wherefore HE saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
 
11 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
 
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
 
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
 
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
 
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into HIM in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

But today many ministers are ministers of Satan.  They, by their own will, not by the call of Jesus, put themselves into the ministry.
 
II Corinthians 11

Fornication in the church. Paul tells us what to do concerning this and other sins in the church.

People think it wise to pray for that "brother" who is committing fornication and to counsel him.
 
But the apostle Paul tells us the following concerning a man who is said to be a Christian and he is committing the sin of fornication (or sins of being covetous, an idolater, a railer,  a drunkard, or an extortioner)
 
I Corinthians 5
 
3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
 
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
 
5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
 
11  But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
 
This may be the only hope such an one has after committing such a sin after he is born again and enlightened to the truth of that sin.
 
Peter says:  II Peter 2:20-22   For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
 
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
 
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
 
But to the minds of fleshly humans in the churches, it seems so harsh and even unreasonable to put such an one out of the church.  It seems "nicer" to pray for him and counsel him.
 
But the apostle Paul in the Bible says put him away from you and to turn him over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.  (I Corinthians 5:5)
 
Few in churches will actually do what the Bible says.
 
I Corinthians 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
 
* fornicator: to have sexual intercourse outside of marriage
* covetous: having or showing a great desire to possess something belonging to someone else; desire for wealth or possessions or power
* idolater: to worship a physical image, such as a statue or person in place of God; could be to worship a church or a pastor or other religious leader
* railer: to express objections or criticisms in bitter, harsh, or abusive language
* drunkard: a person who is habitually drunk; a person who is drunk or often gets drunk
* extortioner: practice of obtaining benefit through coercion; plying money out of another person through use of scripture to make person feel guilty if he does not give or make him feel God will not bless him if he fails to give money at church
 
12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
 
13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Hebrews 10
 
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
 
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

"I can of mine own self do nothing." (Jn. 5:30)

Jesus always heard from God and did the will of God.  
 
Jesus said:  I can of MINE own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and MY judgment is just; because I seek not MINE own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent ME.  (John 5:30)
 
That is what we do also as we hear that which the Holy Spirit speaks to us and walk in those directions as we live on this present earth.
 
For the Holy Spirit lives in each of the children of God, in the elect, the chosen of God, and HE shows them the will of God in the situations of this present life.
 
I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
 
John 14:26  Jesus says:  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
 
John 16:13   Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.
 
We are connected to God by HIS Spirit who shows us the will of God in the situations of this life.
 
I Corinthians 2
 
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.
 
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
 
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
 
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
 
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

That which God has revealed to me about antichrist

Unless the truth is revealed to us by God, we know nothing.
 
For centuries people in church groups have "speculated" about antichrist.  But only when God shows us something do we have truth that does not fail.
 
God began speaking to me about antichrist in 1982.  God used specific scriptures to teach me by HIS Holy Spirit.
 
II Thessalonians 2:3-4  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
 
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
 
God said to me:   "The falling away are not people leaving the church groups.  The falling away are the churches leaving specific scriptures ... and when that happens, antichrist moves into that church group."
 
* Antichrist is a spirit that operates inside the church group through ministers and congregations ...  so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
 
In the NASB, we see the following:
 
6-8  And you know what restrains him now, so that he will be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is removed. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;
 
(God had called the word "restraint" to my mind in approximately 2017.  I found this scripture in II Thessalonians 2:6  NASB.)
 
I said to God:  "What restrains him?"
 
The Holy Spirit said to me:  "The scriptures restrain antichrist and when portion of scriptures are removed, the door opens for antichrist to come into the church group."
 
I saw immediately:  Jesus is "The Word".  When Jesus, The Word, the holy scriptures are removed in part from the church group, the restraint holding antichrist back is removed and antichrist moves into that church group.
 
Antichrist tried to move into the churches during the day of the apostle John, but when that church held fast to doctrines of Christ, antichrist left that church group.
 
I John 2:18-19   Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
 
(Not just one antichrist but many antichrists.)
 
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
 
The terrible fate for those persons in churches who cast aside portions of scripture:
 
II Thessalonians 2:10-12   And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
 
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
 
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Antichrist was already sitting among the elders in the church at Ephesus when Paul warned them as follows:
 
Acts 20
 
17 And from Miletus he (Paul) sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.
 
18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,
 
19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:
 
20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,
 
21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
 
22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
 
23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.
 
24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
 
25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
 
26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
 
27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
 
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with HIS own blood.
 
29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
 
30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
 
The following scripture also shows how concerned Paul was about false doctrines moving into the churches:
 
(Paul says to Timothy)
 
I Timothy 1:3   As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
 
I Timothy 6:3   If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
 
II Timothy 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
 
Romans 16:17  Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
 
They had no New Testament Bibles at the time Paul spoke to the church of Romans but Paul had personally taught them the doctrine of Christ and Paul is warning them to follow that doctrine which they had been taught by him and to avoid the people who went in an opposite way ... opposite to the doctrine of Christ is antichrist.
 
II Timothy 4:3   For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
 
Titus 1:9  (Concerning those appointed as elders in the church)  Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
 
(Antichrist was just waiting to rise up speaking perverse doctrines in those churches of Paul's day and he warned them to continue in the "sound doctrine" which he, Paul, had taught them.)
 
I Timothy 4:16  (Paul speaking to Timothy)    Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
 
(Paul had taught them the doctrines of Christ which appear for us later in the New Testament Bible.)
 
II Timothy 4:2   Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
 
Paul speaking to the church:
 
I Corinthians 4:17  For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
 
(No New Testament Bibles at that time.)
 
Paul speaks concerning what they were to do when they gathered as the church:
 
I Corinthians 14:26  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
 
I Timothy 4:6  If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
 
(Timothy learned doctrine from Paul.)
 
II Timothy 2:2  And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
 
And the Holy Spirit teaches each of us and that doctrine will be in agreement with the doctrine which Paul learned from the Holy Spirit of God and taught to the church.
 
I John 2:27  But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in HIM.

And Paul said to the church of the Galatians:
 
Galatians 1
 
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
 
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
 
(We see antichrist was already working among this church group to bring them another doctrine.)
 
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
 
9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
 
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
 
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
 
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Through the pursuit of greatness, he destroyed himself

In the years 1977 through 1982, I attended a church called, "Word of Faith."  Robert Tilton was the pastor.
 
Bob set about to be great.  He even said, from the pulpit, that he planned to be greater than Kenneth Copeland.
 
By his pursuit of greatness, Bob destroyed himself and was left with nothing.
 
I warned him as a prophet.  But he was overwhelmed with power, money, and fame and would not heed the warning.
 
Mark 8:36-37  For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?  Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
 
This is that story.

The faith movement churches: "Word of Faith"

I was in the faith movement churches from 1977 to 1982.  I loved it.  Faith is one of my favorite subjects.  But in 1979, God gave me a terrifying dream and by that God brought me out of that church group.  This is the story of that which God showed me about the Faith Movement.
 
I love scripture.  I love the Word of God by the Holy Spirit.  Nothing is more exciting to me and nothing is as valuable to me on this present earth as is following God by HIS Spirit.
 
In 1975, I was born again.  Immediately God began teaching me to meditate on scripture and to do those instructions of specific scriptures!
 
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
 
And God had taught me from the time I was born again to ask HIM for wisdom.
 
James 1:5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
 
I was applying the above scripture to everything in my life ... and it worked greatly.
 
*  When I read the Bible, I prayed for wisdom before reading and God was faithful to teach me scriptures as I read.  (I even wrote: "Pray for wisdom", on each book of the Bible so I wouldn't forget to do this.)
 
*  I owned a small business in Dallas, and I was careful to pray for wisdom before I bought merchandise and in running the business and making decisions.  (In the 4 years that I had the business after becoming a Christian and after learning to pray for wisdom, every item I bought for the business sold, and I never had a sale price to rid myself of unwanted items, for everything sold.)
 
And God taught me the following scripture:
 
John 5:30  Jesus said:  I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
 
I was quite sure that if Jesus, the Son of God, could do nothing without hearing from God, The Father, that I would not be able to do anything without hearing from God!  So I prayed for wisdom and prayed for God to stop me if I was going the wrong way.
 
I really thought that is what all Christians were doing.  I was wrong.
 
At one point, our Bible teacher at Word of Faith said to me, "You were never like the people at Word of Faith.  They talked about faith but you lived faith."
 
On this Podcast, I will share some of those things God taught me about the Faith Movement churches.

The poison gas dream:  1979
 
I was asleep in the night when God gave me the following dream.
 
I went into a room where a man was speaking to a group of people.  I sat down and began to listen.
 
A second man rushed in and said, "Stop ... It's too late ... Can't you see? ... It's already begun." 
 
He disappeared and the first man resumed speaking.
 
No one in the room showed any interest at all in seeing "what had already begun."
 
But I was interested, so I looked out the windows and was very shocked at that which I saw when I looked.
 
There was a tall pole with a yellow civil-defense type speaker on top of the pole.
 
Out of the speaker a poisonous gas was coming and it was coming directly toward those of us sitting in that room.  I knew it would kill us.
 
(The speaker that was supposed to warn us was being used to kill us.)
 
I looked at the man who was sitting next to me.  He had a big grin on his face and he was staring directly at the man speaking and he seemed to be paying attention.  But then I saw this man was a corpse.  He was already dead.
 
Then I looked at the other people sitting in the room.  They, too, were already dead.
 
And as I sat there among them, I began to feel drowsy and I knew the gas coming from the speaker was killing me also as I sat there.
 
I had no idea what this dream meant.
 
But in 1982, God showed me the meaning of this dream.
 
I went to church at Word of Faith on a Wednesday night.  Our pastor, Robert Tilton, was speaking.  I looked at the man who was sitting next to me and was very shocked to see this man was the dead man in the poison gas dream.  I looked around the room and the other people in the congregation seemed to be the people in that dream.
 
I got up immediately and went into the ladies room and began praying.  I said to God:  "I believe YOU are showing me to leave this church so I am going to get in my car and drive away.  But if YOU want me to come back to this church, I will."
 
God did not want me to come back to this church group and with that God began to show me problems with the Faith Movement.

The problems:
 
* No one talked about the will of God.  We were supposed to find a scripture to "claim" over that which we wanted and quote that scripture and "believe" by faith in that scripture and we would get that which we believed.
 
One of the founders of the movement was a man named Kenneth Hagin.
 
He based his doctrines upon the following scripture:
 
Mark 11:22-24
 
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
 
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
 
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
 
The above scripture is of course correct.

I wanted to marry.  I found the following scripture to "claim".  I wrote this scripture in the front of my Bible and every day I claimed that scripture for several years.
  
Isaiah 34:16   Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for MY mouth it hath commanded, and HIS spirit it hath gathered them.
 
The prayer group which I attended "agreed" with me and prayed for me to marry.
 
One woman in the prayer group said, "Of course it has to be the will of God for Joan to marry."  Then she went on to say, "But of course it is the will of God."
 
My best friend heard a word from God.  "MY grace is sufficient for her."
 
She told me.  I didn't want to hear that.

Concerning the will of God when we pray:
 
I John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS will, HE heareth us:  And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of HIM.

*  Another thing we were being taught in that Faith Movement church is that all good is from God and all bad is from the devil and that we had "authority" over the devil and could stop any harm that tried to come to our family or our property.
 
They taught us to "exercise our authority" as believers and stand against the devil.
 
The problems:
 
This assumes that we are capable of knowing what is "good".
 
The devil said to Eve:  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
 
People want to be "as gods", thus controlling their own lives without calling on God!
 
This is antichrist:
 
II Thessalonians 2:3-4  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
 
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
 
The will of God in the matter at hand is not considered when you are "as gods."
 
Now, 40-years later, I am delighted to trust in God, knowing that God knows that which is best for me and God will show me what to do in this present life and choose for me!
 
(I really trust in God more than I do in myself!  I would hate to try to decide on my own what I should do.)

Another major problem with the doctrine that all good is from God and all bad is from the devil:
 
We would consider an earthquake to be bad because it destroys property and kills people.
 
But here is what God showed me.
 
Matthew 17
 
50 Jesus, when HE had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
 
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
 
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept (were dead) arose,  53 And came out of the graves after HIS resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
 
54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
 
Because of the earthquake, the centurion and the men with him believed in Jesus.

After God brought me out of the Faith Movement church in 1982, God showed me a significant point.  I was taught by God to pay attention to that which was brought to my mind by HIS Spirit, whether scripture or concepts.  Basically I was being taught by God to meditate on that WORD given to me by HIS Spirit and to follow the instructions of that Word.
 
I didn't realize what I was doing was different from what we were being taught in the Faith Movement.
 
Robert Tilton was pastor of Word of Faith which I attended between the years 1977 and 1982.
 
Bob was teaching the following concept:  "If you want a red pickup truck, then cut out a picture of that pickup and put it on your refrigerator door where you will see it several times a day.  In time you will figure a way to get that pickup."
 
(I never heard any one at Word of Faith mention seeking the will of God.  We were taught to take authority by scriptures over everything in this life and claim scripture.)
 
Also we were taught that we have authority over the devil and the devil could not touch us or our family or our property if we stood against the devil.
 
If you failed, you were taught you had weak faith.
 
During the time I was at Word of Faith church, a hurricane hit in the Houston area of Texas.  (I lived in Dallas.)  I wondered why some of those great men of faith, such as Robert Tilton and Kenneth Copeland, didn't take authority over the devil and stop the damage and death caused by that hurricane.
 
We were being taught "all good is from God and all bad is from devil."
 
Sometime during that period, I came across the following scripture in the Bible:
 
Isaiah 45:6-7   I am the LORD, and there is none else.  I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

And in the Bible, through the coming years, I saw the following scriptures concerning "good and evil"  and that which God will do.
 
God says:
 
Psalm 18:13  The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave HIS voice; hail stones and coals of fire.
 
Psalm 148:8  Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling HIS word:
 
Isaiah 30:30   And the LORD shall cause HIS glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of HIS arm, with the indignation of HIS anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.
 
Ezekiel 13:13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in MY fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in Mine anger, and great hailstones in My fury to consume it.
 
Ezekiel 38:22   And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
 
Revelation 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
 
(God does as HE wills.  We do not have control over the weather.  It is of God.)
 
Isaiah 45:6-7   I am the LORD, and there is none else.  I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
 
Exodus 10:1  And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these MY signs before him:
 
Exodus 10:27   But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he (Pharaoh) would not let them go.
 
Exodus  11:10   And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.
 
II Thessalonians 2:10-12   And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
 
Romans 1:25-27   Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
 
Romans 1:28-32   And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;  29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
 
Jesus speaking to the church at Sardis:
 
Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.

If you had known Donna was divorced, would you have chosen to date her?

My best friend, after I was born again, was a woman who had been raised Baptist.  She married a man whose wife had died.  He was looking for a woman to date at their church group, with the intention of possible marriage.  He picked out two women to date.  And he chose Donna.
 
At first Donna didn't tell Hal that she was divorced.  Hal fell in love with Donna.
 
At some point before they married, Donna told Hal she was divorced.  Hal married Donna anyway.
 
After I met them, I asked Hal, "If you had known Donna was divorced, would you have dated her?" 
 
Hal thought about this and then replied, "No ... I don't believe I would have."
 
In the days that Hal was a young man, the churches were still teaching that the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery, as Jesus says in the Bible.
 
Matthew 5:32  But I (Jesus) say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
 
I've been a born again Christian since 1975 and I've never heard Matthew 5:32 taught at any church that I have attended.
 
Both the Catholic and Protestant churches taught against divorce and remarriage, in most cases, in the 1940's, but this doctrine was changed in many of these churches in the future generations.
 
Edward, king of England, renounced the throne of England in order to marry a divorced woman in 1936.  The people in the church of England were being taught against marrying a divorced woman.  They would not permit a divorced woman to be queen of England at that time.  Now they have eliminated that scripture in their doctrine in England.
 
Once a man who identified himself as a pastor came to me to talk about his divorce and his desire to remarry.
 
I asked him if his wife, whom he divorced, was unfaithful.  He said no.  I told pastor the only scriptural reason for a man to divorce his wife was if she was unfaithful.  If the faithful wife remarries after her husband divorces her, she will commit adultery and the husband who divorced the faithful wife will be the "cause" of her adultery, and the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.  (according to Matthew 5:32)
 
A few weeks later, this pastor called me and asked me if there had been any change in doctrine concerning divorce and remarriage.
 
I said to this pastor, "So far as I know, the Bible has not been rewritten."
 
In the Bible, God's rules differ for men and for women.
 
In this Podcast, I will share these scriptures showing these differences.
 
The only thing that matters about this is what God says.

Matthew 5:32  Jesus says:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
 
* A faithful wife who is divorced commits adultery if she remarries while her husband lives.
 
* The husband who divorced a faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.
 
* The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
 
I Corinthians 7:39  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

2 And the Pharisees came to HIM (to Jesus), and asked HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting HIM.
 
3 And HE answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
 
4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
 
5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
 
6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
 
7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
 
8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
 
9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
 
10 And in the house HIS disciples asked HIM again of the same matter.
 
11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.
 
12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
 
2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
 
3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
 
(We do not go by the Law of Moses in the New Testament church, where animals were sacrificed for sins, but we do go by the laws of God as presented in the New Testament Bible.)

I Corinthians 6  (at the time of sexual intercourse, the two become one flesh)
 
15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
 
16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.
 
17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
 
18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
 
(Even if you have sex with a prostitute, the two become one flesh.

What is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost?

To attribute the works of God and the Holy Spirit to being works of the devil would be blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.
 
Jesus said:  Matthew 12:31-32  All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
 
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
 
As a new Christian in 1975, I went to the church my best friend and her husband attended.  The pastors of that church group were professors at Dallas Theological Seminary.
 
When I began attending this church, Believer's Chapel, the head pastor was teaching a seminar on the subject, "Tongues are of the devil."
 
One day, I was reading the Bible and saw the following:
 
The apostle Paul said, Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.  
(1 Corinthians 14:39)
 
But at Believer's Chapel the pastor was teaching tongues to be of the devil.
 
The church I was attending at that time was teaching something exactly opposite to that which I was reading in the Bible!
 
I never went back to that church group.
 
I believe this pastor was committing blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.
 
A Baptist woman told me this story:  She went into her neighborhood grocery and saw a young man and she said to the grocer, "Who is that?"  He told her the name of the young man.  She said, "I'm going to marry him."  They did marry and they were married approximately 60-years until Jerry died.
 
I thought this was such a wonderful story and I said to my friend, "OH, that was a word of knowledge from God!"
 
My friend seemed frightened while I rejoiced.
 
I suspect she had been taught at her church group against the spiritual gifts of God.  (I Corinthians 12, Romans 12, I Peter 4:11)
 
Some churches teach against the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
 
On this podcast, I will give examples of some of the great works done in the church by the Holy Spirit and some of the blasphemy against God and the Holy Spirit as presented in the Bible.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit:
 
I Corinthians 12
 
1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
 
2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
 
3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
 
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
 
5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
 
6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
 
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
 
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
 
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
 
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
 
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as HE (God) will.

Romans 12
 
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
 
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
 
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

At the end of the great tribulation, we read this:
 
Revelation 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
 
(I suspect this form of blasphemy was cursing God.)

After the crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus set up the New Testament church from heaven by HIS Spirit.
 
We are born again by the Holy Spirit of God convincing us of our sin.
 
In 1975 the Holy Spirit spoke to me by bringing the following thought to my mind:  "Joan, you know those mistakes you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."
 
I was born again with that Word!

My neighbor told me he had hated his stepmother all his life.  One day he went out on his porch and all of a sudden all that hatred was gone.  It was a miracle!  He no longer hated her.  He said "something" told him all this hatred he had carried against her was no good.  (Holy Spirit)

John 14:16   But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
 
John 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

And the Holy Spirit searches the heart of God to reveal to us the will of God in the specific issues of this life.
 
I Corinthians 2:9-14   But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.
 
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
 
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
 
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
 
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
 
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Jesus, from heaven, sets HIS ministers into the New Testament church:
 
Ephesians 4:11-12   After Jesus arose into heaven, HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
 
Acts 26  Paul tells king Agrippa what happened to him on the road to Damascus:
 
I heard a voice (from heaven) speaking to me in the Hebrew tongue. 15 I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. 16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
 
Jesus speaks today to those ministers whom HE has called by HIS Holy Spirit and instructs us by HIS Spirit.

Jesus speaks directly to us today from heaven by HIS Spirit:
 
Hebrews 1:1-2  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE made the worlds;
 
In the Old Testament the people of God were not given the Holy Spirit of God and they had to go to a prophet of God to find out what God wanted them to do.
 
But in the New Testament church, all believers are given the Holy Spirit of God and that Spirit of God lives in each believer to show him the will of God by bringing scripture, thoughts, ideas to the mind of the believer.  (I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 6:19; II Corinthians 13:5)

We are born again by the Holy Spirit of Jesus when HE (Jesus) speaks to us from heaven:
 
John 3:3, 5-6  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
 
4 Nicodemus saith unto HIM, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
 
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
 
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
 
Acts 1:8  Jesus said:   But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

I was very shocked!
 
I thought I was a Christian.  I had gone forward at Church of Christ and had been baptized in water.  But at that time I didn't know of my sins.  I just didn't want to go to hell.
 
I was 37 when the Holy Spirit revealed sin to me and I certainly was in agreement, and I was born again by agreeing with the Holy Spirit and I was instantly changed.
 
II Corinthians 5:17   Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
 
My mother was born again when I read Deuteronomy 18:9-13 aloud to her.  She had always love horoscopes and we had gone to town monthly where my mother bought the latest horoscope magazine which she read to me daily when I was a child.
 
After I read Deuteronomy 18 to her, she was very quiet for a few minutes, then she said:  "Well ... I guess we'd better not do that any more."
 
She was born again instantly as she turned from evil and agreed with the Word of God.
 
(The Holy Spirit was there to convince her of her sin.)
 
The apostle Paul was born again as Jesus spoke to HIM from heaven.
 
Acts 9
 
1  And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
 
2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
 
3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
 
4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou ME?
 
5 And HE said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
 
6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
 
The Holy Spirit speaks to us to reveal Jesus to us and we are born again by that Word delivered to us by Jesus's spirit.

Jesus sets HIS ministers into HIS church today as HE calls from heaven by HIS Holy Spirit to those ministers who are called as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers:
 
Acts 26, Paul speaks to king Agrippa:
 
20 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself.
 
Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
 
2  I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:
 
3 Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
 
4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
 
5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
 
6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers:
 
7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
 
8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?
 
9 I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
 
10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.
 
11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.
 
12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
 
13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
 
14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou ME? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
 
15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And HE said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
 
16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
 
17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
 
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in ME.
 
19  Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

The New Testament Bible is given by Jesus from heaven by the Holy Spirit after the crucifixion and resurrection:
 
And the New Testament Bible was given to the church from heaven as apostles were inspired by God to speak and write the books of the New Testament.
 
II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
 
The early church had no New Testament Bible.  The apostles wrote on "parchments" and sent these letters to the churches in various cities and countries, and these epistles are in the New Testament Bible as the instructions from God came to them and they sent these "epistles" (letters) to be circulated among the various churches in their areas.
 
Colossians 4:16  And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.
 
So they passed these epistles, which we know today in the New Testament Bible, from church to church.
 
These writings were inspired by God by HIS Spirit just as God inspires us today to write the blog and to record the words presented on Podcasts.

5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
 
17  But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
 
18 How that they told you there should be mockers (copiers/imitators) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
 
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

God destroys the heaven and the earth with fire

After the 14 plagues of the great tribulation, and after the powers of heaven are shaken and the sun and moon go dark and the stars fall from heaven, and Jesus comes in the clouds and gathers HIS elect ... then God will destroy this present heaven and earth.
 
II Peter 3:10-14
 
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
 
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
 
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
 
13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
 
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.
 
God showed the prophets of the Old Testament Bible this same event:
 
Isaiah 34:4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.
 
Revelation 6:12-17  And I beheld when HE had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
 
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of HIM that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:  For the great day of HIS wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

A pastor from India, sent me an email asking:  "What is your vision for India?"
 
I replied:  "My vision for India is the same as my vision for USA.  They will all be destroyed by fire by God when God destroys this present heaven and earth."

Ezekiel 7:19   They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
 
Silver and gold and those things men crave after now will be worthless when Jesus comes and God brings HIS judgment upon this earth.

Everything we can see with our natural eye will be destroyed by God at the end of this world.

Jesus comes and sends HIS angels to gather HIS elect from off the earth

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
 
31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
 
Jesus takes the elect to the new heaven and the new earth which God has prepared for them.
 
Revelation 21:1-5  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
 
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
 
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.
 
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
 
5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede) them which are asleep.
 
16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
 
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

All will be changed into new spiritual bodies:

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
 
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
 
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
 
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
 
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
 
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Immediately after the great tribulation, God shakes the heaven and earth

A woman in our church group, reported this dream:
 
She and husband were going out to buy a new TV.  She was waiting for her husband at the car when all of a sudden the sun went completely dark.  She said she was terrified.  She started to run back into the house but then realized that would do no good.  She just fell down on her knees.
 
Acts 2 ... 16  But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
 
19-20 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
 
The prophet Isaiah said:
 
Isaiah 13:13   Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of His fierce anger.
 
God gave me a dream in the mid-1980's:  The earth slipped on it's axis. The governments of men and the scientists and the religious leaders were meeting to see what might be done about this.  (Nothing can be done about this for it is God doing this.) A TV reporter was trying to tell the story but he was so frightened that he just stopped talking and got up and walked out of the TV studio.  Unlike most other stories, he knew this was going to affect his own life and he was terrified!
 
Jesus says:
 
Matthew 24:29-31

The 14 plagues of the great tribulation

The scientists and other people often try to figure out why something is happening.
 
Maybe what they are seeing are plagues of the great tribulation.
 
Will you recognize those plagues when you see them if you are still on this earth at that time?
 
At one point, 1/3 of the creatures in the sea died!  People will say, "What happened?  Why did everything in the sea die?"  The scientists will surely go about trying to find out what killed the creatures in that sea.  (Plague #2)
 
"Why do we have all this increase in locust?  Why are these locust attacking humans?  Is this a new strain of locust?"  (Plague #5)
 
A noisome (smelly) and terrible sore came upon some men on this earth and they will suffer greatly as a result of this sore on their bodies.    "Why did this come upon some men and not on other men?  What is this?  How did this happen?  How do we get rid of this? Can we develop a vaccination to stop this?"  (Plague #8)
 
Every living soul in the sea died!  (Plague #9)
 
The heat upon the world increased greatly.  Men were scorched with great heat!  Climate control?
(Plague #11)
 
The greatest earthquake ever measured by man crossed the earth and the cities of the nations fell!  Every island disappeared and the mountains were gone.  "What is going on?"  (Plague #14)
 
Daniel 12:1-2  And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
 
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
 
10  Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

On January 28, 2021, a report came on CNN saying 700 Pelicans were found dead.
 
I thought of how men would scurry about trying to find out what happened.  And I wondered how greatly these men of this world will trouble themselves when God looses the 14 plagues of the great tribulation upon this earth.
 
Revelation 8, 9, 16
 
Man has to have a reason for everything.
 
Concerning the great tribulation that is to come, the prophet Amos said:
 
Amos 5:18-20  Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.  As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.  Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
 
One trouble comes after another.

Jesus says:
 
Matthew 24:21-22 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.  And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
 
We have seen Coronavirus over the entire earth in 2020 and onward.
 
Coronavirus is likely one of the pestilences that comes before the great tribulation.
 
There are 14 plagues of the great tribulation.
 
After these plagues, God will shake the heavens and the earth.
 
Then comes the sign of the son of man in the heavens and Jesus sends out the angels to gather the elect from off this earth.
 
We know these things, because Jesus tells us this in the NT Bible.

After this, God destroys the heaven and the earth with fire.

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
 
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

If you want to glorify God, then share God's views of the issues pertaining to this life

We glorify ourselves when we speak our own ideas and our own opinions.
 
We glorify God when we share God's Word and those things told us by God's Spirit.
 
I've found the majority of church people do not want to hear that which God has said and that which God has done.
 
They want to praise their pastors and other humans.
 
I Corinthians 2
 
1  And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
 
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and HIM crucified.
 
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
 
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
 
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
 
12  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
 
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
 
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

- The divorced woman who remarries commits adultery but her husband who divorced a faithful wife is the cause of her adultery.
 
- The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
 
 
I Corinthians 7:10-11
 
And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.I Corinthians 7:39
 
The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
 
Mark 10
 
2 And the Pharisees came to HIM, and asked HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting HIM.
 
3 And HE answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
 
4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.

But if you share what God says, you glorify God.

What it will be like in the great tribulation?

The prophet Amos tells us this:  Amos 5:18-20  Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.
 
19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.
 
20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
 
After Jesus opens the 7th seal on the book in Revelation 8, seven angels were given trumpets, and when each of these angels sounded their trumpet, a "woe" was loosed upon this earth.
 
Revelation 8:6-7  And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
 
7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
 
14 plagues from God are loosed upon this earth during the great tribulation.  (Revelation 8, 9, 16)
 
Matthew 24:29-31  Jesus says:  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
 
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
 
31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Antichrist comes into the churches:
 
II Thessalonians 2
 
KJV  3-4   Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
 
(falling away:  falling away from even one small portion of one verse of scripture)
 
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
 
NASB 6-8  And you know what restrains him now, so that he will be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is removed. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;
 
(That which restrains antichrist is scripture.  When churches remove one small portion of scripture the restraint is removed with the scripture, for it was scripture holding antichrist back.)
 
God judges the churches who have fallen away from some scripture:
 
KJV 10-12   And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
 
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
 
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Paul gave up everything to speak the truth of God to the church.  And because of this everyone left him.  But Paul finished his course anyway.
 
Here Paul writes to Timothy:

1  I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom;
 
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
 
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
 
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
 
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
 
6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
 
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
 
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.
 
9 Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:
 
10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
 
11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
 
16  At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
 
17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
 
18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto HIS heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

The order of events that come at the end of this world

In the Bible, Jesus tells us what we can expect to see at the end of this world if we are still on this earth.
 
First the great tribulation comes from God. (Revelation 8, 9, 16)
 
Matthew 24:29-31  Jesus says:
 
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
 
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
 
31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Jesus comes to raise the dead in Christ:
 
I Thessalonians 4: 13-17
 
13  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
 
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.
 
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede) them which are asleep.
 
16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
 
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
 
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

We are changed into our spiritual bodies and removed from these fleshly bodies:
 
I Corinthians 15:48-52
 
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
 
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
 
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
 
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
 
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Jesus takes us to the new heaven and the new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness:
 
Revelation 21:1-5
 
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
 
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
 
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.
 
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
 
5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

The Bible is full of treasures showing the way of life for us

In two verses in John, Jesus explains the working of the Holy Spirit.
 
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

4 things the Holy Spirit who lives in us does for us:
  - teaches us all things
  - reminds us of all that Jesus has said to us
  - guides us into all truth
  - shows us things to come
 
Matthew 11:28-30  (Jesus says)  Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  29 Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.

The devil tries to get us but God draws us back!

Some days I find I'm not interested in reading anything spiritual.
 
But I decide to read some of our blog or the writing on the Podcast.  And I start to be interested and by the time I finish reading those scriptures that are presented, I am restored again.
 
I Corinthians 1:21 ... it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
 
Recently the thought came to me that I'm not really called by Jesus to be HIS minister, that I got it all wrong, and then I was reminded of the times after I was born again when I was taken into heaven.  It was in the night while I was sleeping.  I was "transported" into heaven.  I was with God, and Christ, and the Holy Spirit.  (I saw no images it was spiritual.)  At that time I was merged into the body of Jesus, made one with the Word of God, God and Holy Spirit witnessing. A few nights later, the exact same thing happened again.
 
As I thought on those experiences, I was restored and knew it had been a devil trying to cause me to doubt, for I believe I was ordained into the ministry offices when I was merged into the body of Jesus in heaven those two times.
 
The devil will try to convince us the way we are going is not the right way.  But then God will restore us by the Holy Spirit who reminds us of the way of God.
 
Often we are restored by an exhortation.
 
Hebrews 3:13-14 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
 
Hebrews 10:25-26  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
 
I present to you daily exhortations because these two verses tell me to do this.  And notice Hebrews 10:25 tells us to exhort one another even more as we see the day of the Lord approaching.
 
For God uses these exhortations to keep us in HIS way in the midst of the wickedness that surrounds us in this present world.

Renew your minds to the Word of God:

Scriptures such as the above are exactly opposite to that which the world teaches so as we read these scriptures we renew our mind to God's thinking and we pull back from thoughts brought by devils which are opposite to the Word of God.

From heaven Jesus sets up the New Testament Church

We had no New Testament church until after Jesus was crucified.
 
Then the blood of Jesus became the sacrifice for our sins.
 
And after Jesus arose from the dead and was taken into heaven, then Jesus set up HIS church from heaven, calling and naming HIS ministers from heaven.
 
The apostle Paul was an example of this calling of a minister by Jesus from heaven.
 
Acts 26, Paul says to king Agrippa:
 
I heard a voice (from heaven) speaking to me in the Hebrew tongue.  15 I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. 16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
 
Jesus, from heaven, sets HIS ministers into the New Testament church today just as HE did from heaven in the case of the apostle Paul.
 
After Jesus arose into heaven, HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  (Ephesians 4:10-11)
 
And the New Testament Bible was given to the church from heaven as apostles were inspired by God to speak and write the books of the New Testament.
 
II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
 
The early church had no New Testament Bible.  The apostles wrote on "parchments" and sent these letters to the churches in various cities and countries.  These letters became the "epistles" in the New Testament Bible as the instructions from God came to them.  They sent these epistles to be circulated among the various churches in their areas.
 
Colossians 4:16  And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.
 
So they passed these epistles, which we know today in the New Testament Bible, from church to church.
 
These writings were inspired by God just as God inspires us today to write the blog and to record the words presented on Podcasts.
 
Man does not appoint himself as a minister to the church.
 
All ministers (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers) are called by Jesus from heaven and are lead by the Spirit of God in that which they speak to the church.

In my life, the call of God came to me as God chose to transport me into heaven in the night as I was sleeping.
 
(This happened twice on two different nights as I slept)
 
I was "transported" into heaven in approximately 1975.
 
I was with God and Christ and the Holy Spirit.  (I saw no physical images.  It was a spiritual experience)  At that time I was "merged" into the body of Jesus, made one with the Word of God as God and the Holy Spirit witnessed.
 
The second time this happened was about two days after the first.
 
I didn't know what this meant.  I thought it happened to all persons who were born again.  Later I came to realize it did not happen to every member of the body of Christ.
 
I believe it was at this time, I was set into the ministry in the two offices appointed by Jesus:  apostle & prophet
 
For the next 4 years God taught me spiritual things from the Bible by HIS Spirit.
 
I was born again in 1975.  God put me on radio to exhort the church starting in January, 1980. 
 
In between these years of 1975 and January, 1980, God was teaching me from the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, by HIS Spirit.
 
On the night of January 10, 1980, I was asleep in the night.  A very loud trumpet like voice spoke 3 words in my ear:  "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS"
 
KWJS was a radio station.
 
God told me to call the station manager.  I sent audition tape and was broadcasting exhortation to the church within 5 days.
 
By the end of the next year, I was on radio from "Hartford" to "Seattle".
 
Ministers are called by Jesus from heaven and set in the church today to do the work of the ministry.
 
Jesus communicates with me directly by the following:  thoughts brought by HIS Spirit, dreams, scriptures,
 
I Corinthians 12:4-6  Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.   And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.  And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
 
God calls HIS ministers and teaches them in various ways, but there is always a "call of God" on the life of that minister who is appointed by Jesus for the NT church.
 
But some ministers put themselves into the ministry by going to Bible college without having the call of God and these are "false teachers."
 
II Peter 2
 
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
 
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
 
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
 
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
 
They deny Jesus Christ by denying certain scriptures and by setting up another Jesus, another doctrine in the churches.
 
12-13  These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
 
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
 
16  These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
 
17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
 
18 How that they told you there should be mockers (imitators/copiers) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
 
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

Keeping ourselves ready for the return of Jesus

No one knows the exact day or hour that Jesus will return.  But Peter tells us we must be ready continually for Jesus' return.
 
2 Peter 3:10-14   But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
 
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
 
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
 
13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
 
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
 
Throughout each day of our lives on this present earth we must live in peace, without spot and blameless.

The first thing we should do is meditate on 2 Peter 3:14 until it becomes real in our daily lives that it causes us to conform our actions on this earth to living this scripture and allowing it to rule over that which we do throughout each day.
 
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

We must come to understand that this world and the things of this world are "temporary".  And we must learn that our kingdom is not of this world.
 
Everything that we can see with our natural eye will be destroyed by God at the end of this world.
 
The only way we can live continually, daily in peace is by doing the following scripture:
 
Philippians 4:6-7   Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
 
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (The Word).
 
This means when trouble comes, call on God for help.
 
When there is any concern at all, turn to God in prayer and let your request be made unto God.
 
If we have any dread about tomorrow, stop and pray to God.

Luke 21
 
33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY words shall not pass away.
 
34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting (over indulgence), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
 
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
 
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
 
Watch:
 
Be careful about how you are living each day.  If you become angry with someone, turn to God immediately.  Ask God to help you.  Let God settle you quickly.  Let not the sun go down on your wrath.
 
Do not follow thoughts of devils.  For he comes to steal, to kill, to destroy.  Be sure the ideas you follow are from God.
 
James 3:17   But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Recently I stumbled into someone's sins.  It wasn't until I finished talking by phone with this person that I realized what I had done.  I also opened the door myself for trouble by sending him a "friendly" email.  He called me and began discussing his adult aged children with me.
 
After I finished the phone call, I felt a little strange.  All through the phone call I kept holding back from wishing the son and daughter well.  It was like the Spirit of God was stopping me.  Then after the phone call I realized this man's son has been committing fornication for at least 3 years with a girlfriend.  These people identify themselves as Catholic.  I did not warn them about fornication.  The Holy Spirit did not bring the subject of fornication into my mind so I think the door on that subject must be closed by God.
 
(About 20 years ago, I spoke to this man concerning the sin of fornication which he was committing with his girlfriend when his two children were approximately 9 and 13 years old.  His life is a tragedy.  His wife was a lesbian and it is my understanding that she left with her "lover" and he raised his two children.)
 
I did repent and ask God to forgive me two days later when I realized what had happened.  I was very sorry for opening the door by sending that friendly email.
 
James 4:4  Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

We can lose reward in heaven by being friendly or by wishing evil doers well.
 
II John
 
8  Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
 
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
 
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
 
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

One good thing that did come forth as I spoke to this man:
 
He inquired about Pam Padgett and he said how glad he was I was living with Pam.
 
I replied:  "It's wonderful because Pam is a very godly person and she doesn't trouble me.  When there is a problem Pam prays, and when she hears from God, she does what God says and that problem is taken care of through what God tells her to do.  Then after God has shown her what to do, she might tell me so I can also delight in what God has said to her."
 
It is possible that this information pricked this man's heart for he had just been telling me his problems,
 
We must be diligent to "watch ourselves", what we are doing.  The people are often doing things that are unthinkable to godly people, even when they are attending a church.

A few months ago, God gave me a dream.  Some very dirty cats kept getting in my house.  I would get them out of my house only to find they were back in my house.  God showed me I was opening the door to them by being friendly.
 
We "invite" people into our lives by our friendly emails or phone calls.  Then we wish evil doers well in their fornication with their "girl friends" and in their denial of God as they cast aside scripture.  (Often they attend some church while doing these sins.)
 
Then we wish them well as we make "friendly" inquiries about their godless children who are doing godless things.  And as we make inquiries, we open doors for the stories of their filthy way of life and the filthy way of life of their children.  Then we are troubled.  Often we have brought their trouble on ourselves.
 
We must stop doing this if we desire to serve God and hope for a full reward from God.
 
We can repent and be forgiven and be careful in future concerning opening doors for evil doers in churches to tell us their sins and to tell us of the sins of their own children, making us a part of the sin.
 
I Timothy 5:22  Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
 
Thus Jesus says "Watch yourselves, what you do."  (Luke 21:36)
 
And if we do choose to hear of their evil, usually the Holy Spirit will have us correct them, speaking to them the way of life.
 
In this case, the Holy Spirit did not have me bring correction to this man but after the phone call, the Holy Spirit showed me that I had opened the door for evil to come into my own life and I repented and asked for God to forgive me.
 
Hopefully I will be more alert as to what I am doing as I go forward.  (I usually am alert and avoid the evil that can come from people through my questions about their lives.  But this time I slipped.)
 
Proverbs 10:19   In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
 
Let God be our Lord by turning to HIM rather than to other people.

14  But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
 
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
 
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

Matthew 11  Jesus says:
 
29 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
 
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
 
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
 
Pray:
 
Be connected throughout the day with God through prayer.
 
Prayer is the only way we connect with God, for as we take each concern to God in prayer and hear from God and do what God says, making ourselves worthy to escape that which is coming upon this present world.
 
Jesus says the following to the church:

We "overcome" as we seek the will of God in the midst of the problem and hear from God and follow what God says to do.  By this, we connect ourselves to God.

Be not overcome by the cares of this world

Jesus says, concerning the end times:
 
Luke 21:34  And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting (over indulgence), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
 
On January 6, 2021, we watched a crowd of people storm the USA Capitol building in an attempt to overthrow the 2020 USA presidential elections.
 
I'm sure none of us in USA have ever experienced anything like this before in our lifetimes.
 
After the event, 10 USA republican congress members voted to impeach President Trump for inciting the riot which we all watched on television.
 
This really caught my attention for everyone heard the words spoken by President Trump before the riot and we heard him send the crowd to the capitol and Mr. Trump even told the crowd to go, and "he would be there with them,"  but he wasn't.
 
A few days later, CNN reported that the republicans were trying to cause those 10 who voted against Trump to suffer loss for the way they voted.
 
I was sad and grieved over their suffering.
 
I took on a care of this world.
 
Jesus warned us not to be "overcharged" with cares of this life.  (Luke 21:34)
 
When I read this scripture, I repented for allowing myself to become so involved in this world, and I prayed, asking God to please help those 10 men and women who were being hurt by their own political party for doing that which they believed to be right and reasonable.
 
I even began to feel democracy itself was in danger.
 
But then I realized this entire heaven and earth will be destroyed, and governments of men along with the heavens and earth.  And I began to get a grip on myself and on Biblical reality.
 
II Peter 3

I've always considered myself to be non-political, I am not registered in either political party in USA, and I do not vote for governments of men.
 
But for one very brief time, I knew what it was to care.  And it could have destroyed me except I turned to God for HIM to restore me.
 
This is what the truly godly people were like in the Bible:
 
Hebrews 11
 
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
 
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
 
10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
 
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
 
14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
 
15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
 
(mindful:  having a mind filled with that)
 
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for HE hath prepared for them a city.
 
The apostle Peter in the Bible tells us to be diligent to be found by Jesus when HE returns, living in peace, without spot and without blame.  (II Peter 3:14)
 
Keeping ourselves in a state of peace even in the midst of that which is being done around us is the way we are to live and we can do that only through prayer.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Overcoming and obtaining victory through God

From the time I was born again in 1975, God taught me to come to HIM in prayer over each problem of this life and to depend on HIM to give me the Word to deal with the problem.  Then I could stand on that Word or use that Word to give me information to know what to do in the situation of this present life.  This never fails!
 
Jesus says:  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels. (Revelation 3:5)
 
I attended a Faith Movement church, Word of Faith, from 1977-1982, and they taught people to hunt a scripture and to stand on that scripture.
 
(I never heard anyone at Word of Faith say we should turn to God and ask God "HIS will" in the matter at hand.)
 
But I was taught by God to turn to HIM when I had a problem.  Then God would bring to me a scripture or a concept and I "stood" on that which God brought to me.
 
If we hunt a scripture and stand on that scripture we are trying to "be God".  That is antichrist.
 
There is a subtle difference between hunting a scripture and turning to God for help.
 
In one case you are doing everything without actually turning to God, thus being your own God by trying to find a scripture which fits your problem.
 
In the other case you are turning to God for help and depending on God.
 
In hunting a scripture you depend on yourself.
 
In the other case you depend on God and your faith is in God.
 
I didn't see the difference between what I was doing and what they were teaching at Word of Faith until I left Word of Faith and God showed me the difference.
 
In 1982, God brought me out of Word of Faith church by giving me a dream.  Then God showed me the difference between overcoming through God and trying to have faith apart from God.
 
Jesus says:  (Ye) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of ME.   And ye will not come to ME, that ye might have life.  (John 5:39-40)
 
Romans 10:17   So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

After God showed me the difference between the doctrine of finding a scripture without turning to God, and turning to God for HIS help, I saw they, at Word of Faith, were doing something very different from that which God had taught me to do.
 
I said to my Bible teacher at Word of Faith, "I didn't know I was different from those people at Word of Faith."
 
Our Bible teacher said to me:  "Joan, you were never like anyone at Word of Faith.  They talk about faith, but you live faith."
 
Our teacher said this to me in 1982.  In 2021, I still live by turning to God and letting HIM show me what to do when there is a problem.
 
No other way is safe.  But when we trust God by turning to God in prayer and by waiting on HIM to reveal to us what to do, it is always safe.  God knows future and HE will take you in a way that works as events come upon this earth.
 
We build our faith on that Word which is revealed to us by God by HIS Spirit.
 
Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Child abuse in religious settings

At no place in the Bible does God mention the sin of child abuse.  Why?  I believe this is because all humans know this is evil.  I believe the Holy Spirit put it in all humans that child abuse is a great evil.  Thus if we resist the Holy Spirit it would be an unpardonable sin, a sin against the Holy Spirit.  I believe this is what we see in child abuse in the Catholic church, an unpardonable sin among those men they call "priests".
 
Matthew 12:31  Jesus says:  Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
 
One thing I do know, we must judge the church (not the world).  I Corinthians 5:11
 
The people in the churches often want to judge the world but the apostle Paul explains this to us in I Corinthians 5 that we must judge the church.
 
11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.  For what have I to do to judge them also that are without (without the church)? do not ye judge them that are within? (You are to judge within, within the church) But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
 
Are there different levels of sin?  Yes.  Look at the following scriptures:
 
I Corinthians 6:18   Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
 
Matthew 23:14  Jesus says  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
 
How can any group calling itself a church try to cover up child abuse?
 
And why is child abuse so rampant in the Catholic church?
 
They set up a rule forbidding their "priests" to marry, but that rule is opposite from the rules concerning ministers as spoken by the apostle Paul in the Bible.  By doing this the Catholics set up a natural haven for perverts.
 
If our foundation is anything but the Bible, we set ourselves up for a great fall.

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
 
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
 
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
 
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

The example we have in the New Testament Bible is the following:  The apostle Peter was married and had children.
 
Matthew 8:14-15   And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, HE saw his (Peter's) wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.  And HE (Jesus) touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.
 
So we know the apostle Peter had a wife.
 
Peter also had multiple children for in the Bible Peter tells us he is an elder (also called bishop).
 
Here is a requirement for an elder (bishop) in the church.
 
Titus 1:6-9   If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.  For a bishop (elder) must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;  But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;  Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
 
Whoever set up the Catholic church, said their ministers could not marry.
 
By doing this they violated the Holy Scriptures of the New Testament for the church and by doing this set up a type of haven for perverts among their ministers.
 
For many decades Catholic priests have abused children and other Catholic hierarchy have covered up for these child abusers in their church, often transferring these abominable child abusers to another city and another Catholic church.
 
And there is no such thing as a "priest" as a minister in the New Testament church.  Jesus set up ministers as follows:
 
Ephesians 4:11-12   And HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
 
If you change any part of the New Testament Bible, you bring upon yourselves damnation.

If you return to your old sins after you have been enlightened by God, it is a very serious matter

Jesus died for our sins.
 
But after we are enlightened by the Spirit of God to a sin, if we turn away from the truth from God and return to that sin, there is no more sacrifice for that sin.
 
Hebrews 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
 
So if you were a drunkard and then born again and have been freed from being a drunkard and you are enlightened by God to drunkenness being a sin, if you fall away from the truth concerning this sin and return to being a drunkard, there is no more sacrifice for sins.
 
Jesus was crucified once for our sins.  To return to those sins after we have been enlightened by God to that sin would be to crucify Jesus afresh.
 
Hebrews 6:4-8   For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put HIM to an open shame.
 
7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
 
8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
 
The apostle Peter says it would have been  better if a person had never been enlightened to the truth of God rather than to turn away from that truth and return to old sins.
 
II Peter 2:20-21  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
 
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
 
Jesus says:
 
Revelation 3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.
 
After we are born again, to return to our old sins has dire consequences.

Hebrews 10 warns us to exhort one another and even more as we see the day of the Lord approaching to help that brother in Christ to abstain from his past sins and keep from being swept away from the church in the last days.
 
Hebrews 10
 
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for HE is faithful that promised;)
 
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
 
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
 
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
 
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
 
28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
 
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
 
30 For we know HIM that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto ME, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge HIS people.
 
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

II Peter 2
 
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
 
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
 
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
 
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
 
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
 
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
 
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
 
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
 
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
 
10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
 
11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
 
12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
 
13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
 
14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
 
15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
 
16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
 
17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
 
18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
 
19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

The man who was our Bible teacher when I attended Word of Faith was secretly having sex with women outside of marriage.  This man was going to bars and women would proposition him and he would also "chase" women for sex.
 
None of us in our Bible class knew this was going on.
 
But a woman who owned a coffee shop mentioned his name to me.  I revealed to her that he was my Bible teacher at the church I attended.  She said to me, "Oh.  He is such a terrible influence on my boyfriend."
 
I was terribly shocked.  Here was a worldly woman telling me that our Bible teacher was a terrible influence for her boyfriend!
 
Then she mentioned his girlfriend.
 
None of us knew he had a girlfriend.  He was living a life at church and a life in private.
 
This is terrible.  We have one life and that is a life in Christ.  And we live openly and honestly before all.
 
I went to this man and asked him about this "girlfriend".  He tried to be evasive.
 
I then point blank said to him, "Are you having sex with this woman?"
 
He replied, "Of course."
 
I said, "You know the Bible as well as I do.  I can have no more to do with you."
 
He replied, "That's right."
 
I could no longer attend his Bible classes.
 
Is there any hope at all for this man?  He was definitely enlightened to the truth of God concerning fornication.
 
There is one possible way for him.
 
Paul said:
 
I Corinthians 5
 
1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
 
2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
 
3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
 
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
 
5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
 
I did learn later that this man who had been our Bible teacher could no longer have sexual intercourse.  I assumed his flesh had been destroyed by Satan.  That gives me hope for the salvation of his spirit in the day of the Lord.
