Perversions began in the church at Ephesis during the life of Paul.  Paul explains this to us.
 
I Timothy 1
 
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;

17 And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.
 
26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
 
27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
 
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with HIS own blood.
 
29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
 
30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
 
Antichrist is already here speaking in churches that say, "Jesus is Lord".
 
When Jesus returns, HE will judge the antichrist preachers and their churches and their denominations who love their church more than they love the Holy Scriptures.
 
2 Thessalonians 2
 
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (when Jesus returns) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
 
1982 God said to me:  "This falling away are not people leaving the churches.  This falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures."
 
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
 
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
 
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
 
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
 
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:
 
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
 
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
 
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
 
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

We pray, then how do we know which ideas are from God?

There is no wisdom nor counsel nor understanding against the Lord

When we have the Word from God, we have all that we need to know what to do.  There is no counsel against God's Word which HE gives to us on the matter at hand.

When David played skillfully on the harp, devils departed from king Saul

If 2 prophets warn you, then what?

Sometimes a person will be going a way that would destroy him (or her) and God sends HIS prophets to them.
 
This happened in our little church group:
 
A woman, Pam Padgett, was planning to marry.  I brought strong warning to her.  Barbara Preston also brought strong warning.
 
After that Pam postponed the wedding.
 
The man she was planning to marry told her about his son who was planning to marry a divorced woman. Pam then spoke up and told this man the following scripture.  Matthew 5:32  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
 
After Pam shared this scripture, that man no longer wanted to marry her!
 
Today Pam looks back and thanks God she didn't marry him.

Proverbs 16:25  There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Prophets of God must be brave enough to speak when they are troubled.  
 
If a person shows himself to be of God, I would not want to go against the words he brings from God.

The husband of a woman in our church group had 2 small strokes.  Their house has many stairs.  We were concerned about this.  She then told us they planned to sell that house and move into to the condominium owned by their 50+ year old son who has been twice divorced and lives in another city.  We were very happy to hear this.  (that was our flesh that was happy for it seemed good to us.)
 
But God gave me an open vision.  I saw a giant prehistoric type snake that was about 4 times the size of a giant alligator.  It was swallowing a woman whole.  Only the legs were sticking out of the mouth of the snake.  Like Jonah was swallowed whole by the whale, she was being swallowed whole.  Then I saw this was the woman in our church group who planned to move in with her adult aged son.  
 
Her husband, at this time, is not saved but we know he will be because God gave her a dream where he was reading Bible.  Her adult son and daughter are not currently saved.  Nor is her granddaughter saved.  Nor is her son in law saved.  She would be swallowed whole by all these unbelievers.
 
I even asked her what she would do if her son brought a woman home to spend the night while she was living at his condo.
 
The next thing after that, she decided she didn't want to move in with her son.  She told her husband and he had no problem about changing this plan.  (Her husband is the step father of the 2 adult children.)
 
The husband improved physically and they still live in the house where they were living at the time of his strokes and they are doing fine.
 
God saves us from our distresses!

The new testament church today:

Ephesians 4:8-12
 
8 Wherefore HE saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
 
11-12  And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

What do apostles do today in the New Testament Church?  Who are the apostles?  I once asked the Bible teacher at the church I was attending at that time.
 
He said he didn't know.
 
So I ask God to teach me about the New Testament apostles that were called by him.
 
He took me to Acts 15 to teach me:  A problem arose in the early church.  The Jews who were now Christians asked, "Do the Gentiles have to be circumcised?"  
 
The apostles and elders met in Jerusalem to settle this doctrine of the NT church.
 
Acts 15
 
1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
 
2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
 
3 And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
 
4 And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
 
5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
 
6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
 
7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
 
8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as HE did unto us;
 
9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
 
10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
 
11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
 
12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for HIS name.
 
15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
 
16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: 17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom MY name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
 
18 Known unto God are all HIS works from the beginning of the world.
 
19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
 
20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
 
21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach HIM, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
 
22 Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:  (both Judas & Silas were prophets)
 
Acts 15:32  And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.

By this, God showed me apostles in the church to have a special ordination to deal with scripture and church doctrines.
 
Today the falling away spoken of by Paul that must occur before Jesus returns, has happened in many churches where those churches have "fallen away" from scriptures and have set up doctrines contrary to Bible.  (2 Thess. 2:3-12)
 
New Testament apostles today will try to get individuals to return to doctrine of the Bible, and to hold fast to scripture.
 
For many antichrist spirits surface in churches at the end time to draw away people from Bible.
 
Apostles deal with this until Jesus returns:

The kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force

When you have the word of God on the issue, that is all there is. 
 
Sometimes we deal with things that are harder than other things.  To jump in before you have been established by God in the way to go is very foolish indeed.  But when you hear from God, there is no other counsel.  So I like to move quickly before devils try to get me to do something else.

Jesus says:
 
Matthew 11:12  And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
 
Jacob wrestled with the angel until he received the blessing:  Genesis 32

Ideas come to our mind:  Where did that idea come from?
 
We have many thoughts.  Where did that come from?
 
Seems that people rarely consider the source.  Sometimes people say God told them.  Sometimes they recognize it is from a devil who wants to destroy them.
 
Devils sit in the temple of God pretending they are god and some people follow what they say thinking they are god when they are devils.

By our words we will be justified and by our words we will be condemned. (Mt. 12:37)

Devils work to turn us opposite from God in our thinking.  If we confess the words of devils, thinking it was God who spoke to us, we deny God.
 
So we must be "sober", "alert", correctly evaluating "voices" that bring thoughts and ideas to us.
 
When Pam Padgett had cancer, diagnosed by medical doctors in 2022, and the surgeon said she would be dead in one to two years unless they removed her bladder after a series of chemotherapy.   I said to God:  "YOU put me to live in Pam's house and gave Pam a "gift of helps" to help me.  I know this cancer against Pam is illegal and not of YOU because the Bible tells me with YOU there is no "variableness" neither shadow of turning."
 
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
 
God did not let this happen.  God did not permit them to do surgery and saddle Pam with no bladder and a procedure that these doctors would remove a part of her body HE created in her and make her live this way the remainder of her life.
 
There was "another way" to go in the matter.  With chemo and radiation the cancer was destroyed.
 
My confession was the character of God.  God has no variableness, neither shadow of turning.  That which the doctors were going to do to Pam was against the essence of God HIMSELF.
 
And God did not permit this to be done to Pam.  A change to treatment by chemo-radiation (no surgery) changed everything.  When they did that, the cancer was destroyed.  Now there is no cancer operating inside Pam.  Three series of tests since the treatment have shown the cancer is gone.  Each time those doctors have looked for cancer, they have found the cancer to be gone!

One woman in our little church group has been with us since 1980.  Recently she told me when she prays God never answers her.  (Devils speak this to her,  and she buys into something that is completely opposite to what we hear in the Bible.)
 
Jesus says:  John 10  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
 
This woman listens to what devils tell her and confesses them to other people.  For Bible tells us truth about God and about Jesus and tells us what they will do.  Devils are liars and tell us lies opposite to Bible.
 
John 10  Jesus says: 9 I am the door: by ME if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth HIS life for the sheep.
 
Matthew 12  Jesus says:
 
Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
 
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
 
35 good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
 
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
 
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
 
The apostle Paul says:
 
I Thessalonians 5:21  Prove all things.  Hold fast that which is good.
 
Prove that thought by Bible.
 
The devil sits in the temple of God showing himself he is god. 
 
But we do not fall for that because we know what Bible says and we confess Bible as truth.

We can overcome. We are well able, says Caleb.

The way of this world is to look at the circumstances and judge they can't do "that" because of what they see in problems.
 
The people of faith in God know they are well able to do that which God says.
 
Numbers 13
 
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
 
2 Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.
 
So Moses obeyed God and sent men out to see the land God had promised to give to them.
 
3 And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.
 
They reached the land and saw it was a good land. 
 
20  And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.
 
23  And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
 
They reported to the congregation of Israel upon their return:
 
25 And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.
 
26 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.
 
27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
 
28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
 
30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
 
(Once we hear from God what to do, we'd better do it as quickly as possible, not giving devils time to attack us, for devils will turn us from what God wants us to do if at all possible.)
 
Caleb and Joshua saw God ... the others saw the problems.
 
The world makes excuses ... faith sees God.

31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
 
32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.  33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
 
God killed each of those men who brought the evil report and discouraged the congregation.

Peter walked on water to get to the place where Jesus was. He only began sinking when he looked at the waves.

29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
 
(Peter wanted to be where Jesus was.)

Paul told us what to do when we gather as the church and this is what we will try to do at these sessions:
 
I Corinthians 14:26  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm (prayer), hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
 
Matthew 18:20  (Jesus says:)  For where two or three are gathered together in MY name, there am I in the midst of them.
 
(Pam & I believe Matthew 18:20.  Do you? If you believe this, what should you expect?  I have prayed that God have those at this meeting that HE wants here.  Pam and I make 2.  So that means the Spirit of Jesus will be with us doing as God wills. Jesus heals people.  Jesus saves people.  Jesus brings words to show people the way to go. People learn the working of the Holy Spirit of God to teach people the things of God and to remind them of things Jesus said to us in the Bible.  The Holy Spirit is the comforter and the Spirit of Truth.  I'm so often amazed at those things Jesus shows me and how it helps me to know what to do on this earth.)
 
When Jesus is in the midst of us, all things are possible!  Jesus is the truth and the answer to everything!

Paul told us what to do when we gather as the church and this is what we will try to do:
 
I Corinthians 14:26  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm (prayer), hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
 
Matthew 18:20  (Jesus says:)  For where two or three are gathered together in MY name, there am I in the midst of them.
 
Do you believe Matthew 18:20?  Pam and I are believers so that makes 2 of us.  Jesus promises to be with us in this case.  Since Jesus is with us and we believe this, shouldn't people be born again and healings occur?  I would expect this to happen.  
 
But if you do not expect and believe and come here in faith, then we are warned as follows:
 
James 1:5-6  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
 
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
 
7  For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
 
Please examine yourself.  
 
Recently a woman in our little church group said she never hears from God when she prays?  
 
Hebrews 11:6   But without faith it is impossible to please HIM: for he that cometh to God must believe that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek HIM.

Every time I pray, I expect God to hear me for I pray according to the will of God.  If I'm not sure of the will of God, I don't ask God to do something.
 
I'm sure when I pray asking God to create in me a clean heart and to renew a new spirit within me (Psalm 51:10), I'm sure God does that for me.  Sometimes I feel a change in me instantly.
 
I John 5:14-15  And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS will, HE heareth us:
 
15 And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of HIM.
 
You can't listen to what the devil says and confess that to other people and receive from God.
 
When the devil tells me something opposite to Bible,  I know that is the devil speaking and I refuse to believe it because devil is a liar and there is no truth in him.  
 
And I do not repeat what the devil says to me.  neither should you.

Scripture brought to my mind by Holy Spirit changed everything

We have a woman in our church group who has been difficult to deal with from time to time.
 
Recently the Holy Spirit brought this scripture to my mind and it enabled me to go another way as I communicated with her.
 
I Thessalonians 5:14  Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

14 Plagues of the Great Tribulation

At the end of time, before God destroys this heaven and earth, God brings upon this earth the plagues of The Great Tribulation.  Many of these are weather related.

(1st 7 plagues are brought by the angels as they sound their 7 trumpets)
 
#1.  Rev. 8:6 ... hail, fire, mingled with blood ... 1/3 part of trees burnt up & all green grass burnt

#5.  Rev. 9:1-11 ... smoke released from bottomless pit darkens sun and air ... locust released with power like scorpions with power to hurt men  for 5 months; those men who do not have the seal of God in their foreheads ... 
 
Rev. 9:6  And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

#6.  Rev. 9:15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
 
17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
 
18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
 
21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

#7.  Rev. 10:6  That there should be time no longer. 7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as HE hath declared to HIS servants the prophets.

Woes of the last 7 angels as they pour out their 7 vials:
 
#1.  Rev. 16:1-2  And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
 
2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

#4. Rev. 16:8  Fourth angel poured his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire and men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues; and they repented not to give HIM glory.
 
(Reminds you of the great heat of 2023 in Southwest USA, but I think this heat of the vial of the angel on the sun will be even worse and will be all over the world for he poured that vial on the sun which reaches every person on this earth.)

God has made a considerable change in my life during the past year

God led me to surround myself with "good" and to "flee" from evil.  God showed me to put around me things that cause me to smile.  Things that make me laugh. Things that cause me to sit down and relax and to wait in peace and joy on this earth.
 
God put me into the home of another person of faith with whom I wait in faith in God.  (And because I no longer have expenses for my own house, there is much more money available to purchase that which brings much joy into both our lives.)
 
It is an amazing approach to the end times that I would never dreamed possible.

We learn to deliberately turn away from the evil and make ourselves think on the "good".
 
We know the evil is out there.  We do not bury our heads in the sand. We are even aware of what they are doing today.  But we do not let ourselves fret over them, and complain as many do.  We do not enjoy the sensations of the new evils as some do.  Instead we force ourselves to think on the good that is coming though God and Jesus.  We think on that which God has prepared for us, the new Jerusalem wherein dwelleth righteousness, where there is no pain, no sorrow, no unrighteousness.  Where we have new bodies, spiritual bodies and there is no physical disease.
 
Revelation 21
 
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
 
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
 
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their God.
 
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
 
5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

13  Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
 
We must work to make our minds focus on those things that are pure, lovely, true, just, of good report.
 
And we must focus on all the good things God has given us to enjoy on this present earth and enjoy those things!  For enjoying those good things can turn our thinking from evil.  It is one of the ways of escape that God has given to HIS people during these present evil times.

Two key verses in 1 Cor. 2 showing great difference between Old and New Testament churches

I Corinthians 2
 
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.
 
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
 
In these 2 verses, the apostle Paul shows us a very great difference between the Old and New Testament churches.
 
The people in the OT were not all given the Holy Spirit.
 
The people in the NT were given the Holy Spirit.
 
What difference does that make?
 
Jesus tells us in the following scripture the work the Holy Spirit does for the individual who is born again.
 
John 14:16  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
 
John 16:13  Howbeit when HE , the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.
 
I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Often when I pray this, immediately I feel God has taken care of the problem and has cleansed my heart and spirit.

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent (lacking self-restraint; uncontrolled):, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
 
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
 
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
 
We must control our own selves for devils will bring thoughts to torment us if we allow him entrance.
 
We give devils entrance by filling our hearts with bad things, allowing evil thoughts to build up without taking them to God. 
 
Paul tells us to think on things that are good, lovely, just and true.

I do not focus on devils but rather I focus on what I do, filling my own life with good things, with joy, with things that make me laugh.

Scriptures are as good treasures which we store in our hearts!

We fill our hearts with good treasure each time we hear a scripture from the Holy Spirit, think on that scripture, and do that scripture in an appropriate way.
 
A few days ago, the Holy Spirit reminded me of this verse of scripture.
 
I Thessalonians 5:14  Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
 
I looked up the meaning of "feebleminded" ... A person who is unable to make intelligent decisions or judgments:  Comfort that person. 
 
My mother became "feebleminded" in the latter years of her life.  Not seriously feebleminded, just a little.  She had driven a car all her life.  But one day she was going to visit her cousin who lived a few blocks away and she got into the car and said to me, "Now how do you make it go forward."  (That was a sign to me that her driving days might be over and I would need to take her to her cousin's house in future.)
 
We don't beat up a feebleminded person.  We help that person in which ever way God shows us to help that person.  Don't let yourself be annoyed or troubled.  It is often something that happens in the latter years of life.  Just make it as easy as possible if that person needs help.  Don't let yourself be troubled.  It is just something that happens and is not a big deal.
 
I am 86, and I find my memory comes and goes!  Sometimes I just go blank on how to operate the TV remote, on things I have done many times before.  It is a normal thing of life.  Sometimes I will even forget where a scripture is located that I once knew very well.  I'm simply old!  If needed someone can look that scripture up for me!  Don't let yourself be troubled!
 
Is the person unruly or feebleminded? we ask ourselves.
 
We warn the unruly.  If the person is stubbornly willful, we warn that person, for that is a sin.  If the person is "weak" it can be a sin or it can be a sign of something else.
 
With all persons we must learn to be patient, controlling ourselves, not allowing ourselves to be annoyed that they are interrupting us in what we are doing, or are troubling us in some way that is often unimportant but we are making it important.
 
Paul tells us one problem of the last days is that men will be ...  lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (2 Timothy 3) 
 
We work to keep our own selves from drifting into any of these characteristics.  And note people who are taking on these characteristics, warn them, and then likely avoid them.  
 
These are dangerous days!

The apostle Paul gave instructions for the gathering of the New Testament church and Paul presented the following instruction for proper speaking of NT prophets in the NT church.
 
I Corinthians 14  (Rules for prophet as they present things of God in the New Testament church gathering)
 
29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. 30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. 31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
 
37  If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

I Corinthians 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
 
28 And God hath set some in the church (to care for the church), first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore HE (Jesus) saith, When HE (Jesus) ascended up on high, HE (Jesus) led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

From the above scriptures we see prophets working in the New Testament churches and refute those churches today who say there are no more prophets today,  To say this is antichrist, opposite to New Testament Bible.

6 Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.

Ezekiel 3
 
17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from ME.
 
18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
 
19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
 
20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
 
21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

I asked God if there is any example in the New Testament Bible where the blood of a person would be required if he failed to warn the church.
 
God replied:  Acts 20
 
Paul called for the elders of the church of Ephesus and said to them:
 
25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
 
26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
 
27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

When we speak by the Spirit of God, our work is of God

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth.  The Holy Spirit is the Comforter.  The Holy Spirit searches the mind of God to reveal God's will to us the children of God.
 
By the Word from the Holy Spirit we go forward.
 
And by the Word from the Holy Spirit we remain still.
 
Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Our own flesh and devils will try to get us to go in the way of destruction for us.
 
Galatians 5
 
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
 
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
 
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
