The first plague: God turns the water into blood

Exodus 7
 
1 And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
 
2 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
 
3 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply MY signs and MY wonders in the land of Egypt.
 
(God is going to do the 10 signs and wonders before all ... and after the 10th, Pharaoh lets the children of Israel go ... but first come the plagues upon Egypt.)
 
4 But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay MY hand upon Egypt, and bring forth MINE armies, and MY people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
 
5 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth MINE hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
 
6 And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they.

Exodus 7
 
14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.  15 Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river's brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand. 16 And thou shalt say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let MY people go, that they may serve ME in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear. 17 Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in MINE hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood. 18 And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.
 
19 And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
 
20 And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
 
21 And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

23 And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.
 
24 And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
 
25 And seven days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had smitten the river.

The first meeting of Moses and Aaron with Pharaoh

Exodus 5
 
1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let MY people go, that they may hold a feast unto ME in the wilderness.
 
2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey HIS voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

3 And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest HE fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.
 
4 And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.
 
5 And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.

As a penalty to Moses and Aaron, Pharaoh deals harshly with the children of Israel.
 
6 And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,
7 Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.
 
8 And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.
 
9 Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.

10 And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw. 11 Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.
 
12 So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.
 
13 And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.
 
14 And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded,
Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?
 
(We know God will win out, but the children of Israel didn't know this.)

Exodus 5
 
15 Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants?
 
16 There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people.
 
17 But he (Pharaoh) said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD.  18 Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.
 
19 And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.

20 And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:
 
21 And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

22 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast THOU so evil entreated this people? why is it that THOU hast sent me?
 
23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in THY name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast THOU delivered THY people at all.

Exodus 6
 
1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.
 
2 And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:  3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by MY name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
 
4 And I have also established MY covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.
 
5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered MY covenant.
 
6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:  7 And I will take you to ME for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. 8 And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.
 
9 And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

I was a new Christian when this happened to me:
 
I owned a small business.  A young woman took me to court.  God said to me, "Don't testify."  I never dreamed people on my own side would be mad at me when I did that word given me by God.
 
Toward the end of the trial, I said to God, "I hope YOU know what we are doing.  We are going to lose this case."
 
I continued to hold fast and did what God told me to do and we won and all charges were ended against me!  But it looked like we would lose.

Moses has to deal with both the children of Israel and Pharaoh

21 And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.
 
22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is MY son, even MY firstborn:
 
23 And I say unto thee, Let MY son go, that he may serve ME: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn. 
 
(Which God did with the 10th plague and after that Pharaoh was glad to be rid of the children of Israel.)

30 And Aaron spake all the words which the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.
 
31 And the people believed: and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that HE had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.

The great power we have through God

(Paul will see what measure of "power" those who are puffed up really have ... for there is power with those who are really of the kingdom of God.)

(The apostle Paul was not one of the 12 original apostles, yet Paul healed the sick and cast out devils. Paul even had "special gifts" where he touched the handkerchiefs they brought and they took them away and put them on the sick and they were healed.)

(It brings glory to God for us to present spiritual gifts to the church. God has power over all things.)

(Our word is with power also when the Holy Spirit brings "that" word to us.)

I Corinthians 2:4-5  (The apostle Paul says:)  And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

God raises us up also by HIS own power to operate in the spiritual gifts to help the church:  Spiritual gifts:  For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
 
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.  (I Cor. 12)

11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? 12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.
 
13 And he (Moses) said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.
 
14 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and HE said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.
 
15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.
 
16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.

Updates for our church group

This is a message to our church group from Joan giving updates. 

What has God shown ”you”, for that is what will happen

God puts things into our heart ... and speaks to our minds.  And we know things because God showed us.  We can be certain God will arrange our lives for that to happen that HE has shown us.
 
God put in Moses heart that he would be used to deliver HIS people.
 
Acts 7  (Concerning Moses)
 
21 And when he was cast out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.
 
22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.
 
23 And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.
 
24 And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian:
 
25 For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.
 
26 And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?
 
27 But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?
 
God appointed Moses to lead HIS people out of the bondage.
 
But when God said to Moses later, Moses said, "Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?"   (Ex. 3:11)

At one point in the journey in the wilderness Moses' own brother Aaron and his sister Miriam said the same thing to Moses.  They said they too were the people of God, challenging Moses right to lead them and to rule over them. But they suffered severe penalties for God chooses whom HE will.
 
Numbers 12
 
1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
 
2 And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath HE not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.
 
3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
 
4 And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
 
5 And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
 
6 And HE said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
 
7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
 
8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
 
9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and HE departed.
 
10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
 
11 And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
 
12 Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb.
 
13 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.
 
14 And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.
 
15 And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

Many people in churches end up following seducing spirits and doctrines of devils in the trials of life.
 
I Timothy 4:1  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
 
The churches of the apostasy today eliminate many scripture from the Bible that offend people and they teach people a doctrine which says, "God loves you and wants you to be happy on this earth so of course a divorced woman can remarry and a man is free to marry a divorced woman."  By teaching this, they eliminate several scriptures.

A few nights ago, I was watching a show about a big law firm in NYC.  They were doing so many things which were sins according to that which the Holy Scriptures teach.
 
I thought, "I'm so glad we have the scriptures from the NT Bible because they set boundaries for us so we know what to do and what not to do."
 
(Also God has given us a new heart and a new Spirit.  Ezekiel 36)
 
Ezekiel 36:27  And I will put MY spirit within you, and cause you to walk in MY statutes, and ye shall keep MY judgments, and do them.

A man once told his mother that the Bible is so legalistic.
 
This very greatly troubled me!  I turned to God and God explained to me the following:
 
"The people of the world want to be free to sin.  The people of God want to be free from sin."
 
Jesus said:  John 3:3  Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
 
I Corinthians 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The Bible sets boundaries for us so we will not go in the way of sin, staying free "from" sin.
 
Hebrews 10

Absolutely nothing is equal to the Word of God.  That Word God gives us is greater than rubies and greater than reputation and praise of men and greater than all that can be desired in this world.  No husband or wife or children are above the Word God gives us!  The Word of God is above all.

God speaks to us and we know what to do and that is the ”anchor” for our soul

I asked God what HE wanted you to hear today and HE brought to my attention something that happened to me this week and I will record that message for you for today.
 
💥  Seeking what to do:
 
The previous month when I was at dentist for tooth cleaning, my dentist came in to check my teeth and found I needed 2 fillings.  And one tooth might present a problem for it is next to a bridge I have in upper left of mouth.  She warned me that I might lose the bridge.  She said she couldn't tell until she got into the tooth that needed the filling.  (Her words brought fear and I began praying, asking God to help me and to guide her in the work.)
 
Between the time she said this and the next dental appointment, every time a thought came concerning the appointment, there was dread and even a little fear.  I would pray again.
 
The day before the tooth filling appointment, a thought came to my mind:  "Fix only one tooth at the appointment and schedule a second appointment to do the other tooth."  (I knew this was a plan from God.)
 
After that, I had no more dread or fear.  I had heard from God and knew exactly what to do.  That Word from God gave me an "anchor" for my way and kept my soul at peace!
 
As we drove to the appointment, I was so happy!  I knew what to do.
 
When I asked the dentist if we could repair only one tooth that day and make a second appointment for her to work on the other tooth, she said:  "That would work well for me also."  (Unknown to me she was getting ready to go on maternity leave in 3 weeks.)  She said she would like to work on the upper tooth, the one that is beside the bridge.  She told me it was more difficult for her to reach lower teeth in her condition.  I told her that would be fine.  She scheduled November 14 for the other filling.  I was glad to have the space of time between the tooth work!
 
Everything went very well and I did not lose the bridge!  Although she did trouble me a little in "warning" me that later she might have to replace the bridge.  I prayed when she said these words.
 
Philippians 4:6  (Paul instructs us)  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
 
(I was still in the dentist chair when I was praying to God about the "possible" problem with the bridge.)
 
If possible, pray immediately!
 
I think the plan God gave me to separate the tooth work into 2 appointments helped both me and that dentist!  
 
God knows what's best for us!  And after HE gives us HIS plan, we have the way to overcome the problem and the victory over fear, dread, anxiety!
 
Seek God's plan through prayer and wait for the plan to come from God!
 
Then do what God has shown you to do!

💥  Satan trying to swallow woman in our church group.  
 
I saw the following open vision from God showing me this about this woman:  There was a very big giant prehistoric type snake, about 5 times the size of a big alligator.  This church woman was 1/2 way in the snake's mouth.  She was already 1/2 swallowed, up to her waist.  Only her legs were out of snake's mouth ... Then she completely disappeared.  She was in the belly of the snake.  Swallowed whole like Jonah.  The snake was licking his lips ... Then the snake had turned around and was wagging the tip of his tail like a satisfied dog.  End of open vision.
 
She is surrounded by unbelievers ... 5 ... thus the snake is size of 5 unbelievers. (husband, son, daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter)
 
As a believer, greater is HE that is in her than HE that is in unbelievers.  (I Jn. 4:4)
 
But they carry the doctrines of this world and she can take on their doctrines unless she does proper spiritual warfare, making the Word of God overcome their doctrines in her own heart.
 
2 Cor. 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (the Word);

She has already demonstrated to Pam and I that she has taken into her heart 2 doctrines of this world:  Salvation by works and the "goodness" of man, and strength of bodily exercise led by therapists and hope in therapy of man.
 
God had me send her 2 scriptures showing the doctrine of Christ:  
Revelation 5:9;12-14 & I Timothy 4:8
 
Rev. 5:9;12-14  And they sung a new song, saying, THOU art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for THOU wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by THY blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.  13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto HIM that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. 14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped HIM that liveth for ever and ever.
 
After this scripture, she did say, "Of course."
 
(As she praised the physical therapist and bodily exercise which she hoped would restore her husband after the 2 small strokes, I sent following doctrine of Christ.)
 
I Timothy 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
 
You think you can't be pulled away by circumstances of life?  Remember the downfall of Solomon?  God warned Solomon twice.  But Solomon apparently did not think it could happen to him.  Solomon didn't believe God in this, and that point God made to Solomon was his ruin and downfall in his old age.
 
I Kings 11
 
1  But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; 4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. 5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. 6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father. 7 Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon. 8 And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.
 
God greatly penalized Solomon's house by dividing the kingdom from them and giving 11 tribes to another king:  Divided kingdom of Israel and Judah

On approximately June 11, 2023, the husband of this woman had terrible pain with kidney stone attack.  Then he fell 2 times.  This turned out to be caused by small strokes, according to doctor.
 
* They could not get immediate appointment with a doctor concerning the kidney stone.  All they could do was to go to emergency room (ER) where they gave husband pain medicine.  They drove home, which is 15 miles into the country.  And that same night had to return to ER where they gave husband additional medicine for pain. And ER put husband into hospital to be treated for heart and small strokes but not for kidney stone.  He spent 2 weeks in hospital but no doctor dealt with the kidney stones so far as I heard.
 
*  Upon returning home from hospital they still could not get immediate appointment with doctor concerning kidney stone.  The adult daughter talked to someone she knows in medicine and did get an appointment the following week with doctor. 
 
*  Doctor said kidney stone was too large to pass and this would require going to hospital for sonic surgery to break up the kidney stone.  Operating room was not available until July 20.  (This started with pain on approximately July 11.)  All husband could do was to take pain medicine and they tried 3 pain medicines to find the medicine that worked best.
 
*  They have stairs all over their house, 3 levels.  The adult aged son, who lives 180 miles away, came to help and gained approval to work by computer to be able to continue his secular job and help get his step-father to the location needed in the house.  
 
*  Neither the husband nor son nor adult aged daughter are believers at this point.  Barbara is surround by unbelievers and she is the only believer in the situation.  She is allowing Satan, the snake, to swallow her, replacing her belief in certain scripture and believing the doctrine of this world which she wants to believe at this point in time.  For her focus and desire is toward her fleshly family more than toward the Word of God.  (Swallowed by the snake like Jonah was swallowed by the whale.)
 
*  Their plan is to try to sell the big house which requires significant efforts to maintain.  And the adult son has offered to allow parents to move into master bedroom at his condominium, located 180-miles across the state.  Living in the house with an unbeliever until they decide on property to purchase in the city where her son and daughter live to obtain help in times of need by son and daughter.
 
So she will have 5 people who are of the flesh speaking doctrines of the flesh which she will have to deal with to hold onto doctrines of the Bible.
 
I Peter 5:8-9  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith,

Letter to woman in our church group:

Last night I became devastated with fear over you.
 
I know you were the person being swallowed by that giant prehistoric snake in the open vision.
 
This shows you're being surrounded by unbelievers, even living with them close up in the same house, swallowed up with thinking of this world.

I'm sure God has an answer for you, but it seems it started with Edward's 2 falls.  (the process began of your being swallowed by the world, "eaten by the big snake.")
 
When I asked you how it came about that you would move into Drew's house, you answered, "He offered", but you didn't say anything about God showing you to do this.
 
I prayed last night for you to be saved for eternal life. But your life at the end will be a really hard life in the situation unless you work out turning to God strongly in everything, and I don't see you doing that as you showed us so far. It's like the world is eating you up. And your heart and soul seem to be  tied up in the world. 
 
Again, I prayed that you would have eternal life, but I know that you won't have a good life as this is developing. I know you could turn it around through God by diligence in prayer to God over everything and by getting HIS way by waiting on HIM to show you what to do.
 
As I told Sandra, "What will happen to you if you go this way?" For she had told me she didn't care about anyone or anything, and she indicated to me that included God.
 
So unless you strongly learn to take everything to God and get HIS plan in the midst of the life as it is surrounded daily by unbelievers, I know you will not have a good life at the end. You're going to have to be much stronger with God.
 
(Unbelievers at this point in time:  husband, son, daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter)
 
But I do have hope of your being saved for eternal life, because that is the way I'm praying.
 
Nevertheless, I would like your life on this present earth to be filled with good, spiritual good as-well-as earthly good.

P.S. I keep being reminded of that scripture where Jesus said to Peter "Satan has desired to sift you as wheat, but I have prayed for you."
 
Luke 22:31-32 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
 
To each of us it comes down to this:  Which do we love more?  Those people and things of this world or the Word of God and truth of God?

Exodus 3

2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
 
3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
 
4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
 
5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.
 
6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
 
7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
 
8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
 
9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.
 
10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth MY people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
 
11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
 
But God had put it into Moses heart 40 years earlier that he would deliver the children of Israel out to Egypt.  We see this in the following scripture.
 
Acts 7
 
22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.
 
23 And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.
 
24 And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian:
 
25 For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.
 
God will cause HIS will to happen on this earth in the life of Moses and also in the life of us whom HE has chosen.

At the time appointed by God, the children of Israel are delivered from Egypt by God

After 400 years of bondage in Egypt, the time comes for deliverance of the children of Israel from Egypt.
 
Exodus 1
 
8 Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.
 
9 And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: 10 Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.
 
11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.
 
12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they (the Egyptians) were grieved because of the children of Israel.
 
13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour: 14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.
 
Pharaoh told the Hebrew mid-wives to slay the male children of the Hebrews but to save the female children alive.
 
22 And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.
 
Moses was born during this period of time.

1 And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi. 2 And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. 3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink. 4 And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.
 
5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.
 
6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.
 
7 Then said his (Moses') sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?
 
8 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother.
 
9 And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the woman (who was the child's real mother) took the child, and nursed it.
 
10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

How can we be so concerned today?  Don't we know God is in charge of that which happens to us?

The children of Israel remain in Egypt 400 years. God told Abraham this would happen to them

Genesis 15  (God speaking to Abraham)
 
13 And HE (God) said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
 
14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

God sets everything to work to accomplish HIS will on this earth!  
 
Relax.  God is in charge!
 
I Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
 
God caused a famine throughout the whole earth in the days of Joseph.
 
This famine caused the children of Israel to come down into Egypt to buy corn.
 
Joseph was 2nd only to Pharaoh in Egypt and all who bought corn had to buy though the hands of Joseph.
 
Eventually the children of Israel made their home in Egypt and stayed there for 400 years as God told Abraham they would, as slaves to the Egyptians.
 
At the beginning of their time in Egypt, Joseph was there and provided for them through God.  
 
But there was a Pharaoh who knew not Joseph and everything changed for the children of Israel.
 
Toward the end of their stay in Egypt, the bondage of the Egyptians became very severe and when the Children of Israel continued to multiply greatly in Egypt, Pharaoh ordered every male Hebrew child to be slain at birth.  (Deliverance from God was then very near.)
 
Often when it gets very hard, it shows us we are nearer the end and God makes a way to escape.
 
Remember this as we approach the end of this world today, and the great tribulation, and the deliverance of us from this present earth by Jesus when HE takes us to the new heaven and the new earth created by God for us wherein dwells only righteousness.
 
The apostle John saw a vision of the new heaven and new earth and shows it to us in the following scripture.
 
Revelation 21
 
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
 
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
 
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.
 
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
 
5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
 
God chose Moses to lead the deliverance of the children of Israel from Egypt.

The children of Israel come into Egypt to buy corn

Genesis 41:56-57
 
56 And the famine was over all the face of the earth: and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt.
 
57 And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.
 
God showed Joseph what to do and put Joseph in a position to do what God showed him.  By God came provision for many people and kept families alive on the earth, including the 12 tribes of Israel.

Genesis 42  (The lst trip into Egypt to buy corn)
 
1 Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another?
 
2 And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die.
 
3 And Joseph's ten brethren went down to buy corn in Egypt.
 
4 But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said, Lest peradventure mischief befall him.
 
5 And the sons of Israel came to buy corn among those that came: for the famine was in the land of Canaan.

Joseph recognized his brothers but the brothers did not recognize Joseph.
 
I Corinthians 10
 
11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
 
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
 
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

In each trial of this life, God makes a way of escape for HIS elect.
 
I've been in situations where I had no idea what to do.  I just kept calling on God for help.  And eventually the Word came from God showing me the real situation.
 
In one problem, I was dealing with a church woman and it got terribly difficult for me and then God reminded me that before I was born again there were 3 devils living in me and I would be as bad as she was now except for the fact that God delivered me and cast those devils out of me.
 
Then I realized the woman I was dealing with had devils living inside of her and they were causing the problem.

Jesus says:  Mk. 16:17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In MY name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
 
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
 
(So I cast the devils out of that church woman, in the name of Jesus.)
 
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, HE was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
 
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

God knows the truth and the real source of the problem we are having in this life.  As we seek God with all our heart, God reveals the truth to us.

The second time the children came into Egypt, Joseph revealed himself to them.  Benjamin, Joseph's brother was with them this time.  Joseph knew they were his brothers, the children of his father Israel (Jacob), but the brothers did not yet know it was Joseph they were dealing with.
 
They took corn and started back to the land of their father Israel.
 
Joseph sent his men to catch them and search their sacks and they found Joseph's silver cup in the bag belonging to Benjamin. This was done to get the brothers back to Joseph and he, Joseph is going to reveal the truth to his brothers that he is Joseph the brother they sold into slavery. 
 
Genesis 45
 
3 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.  (They are the ones who had sold Joseph into slavery.)
 
4 And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
 
5 Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.
 
6 For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.
 
7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
 
8 So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and HE hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
 
They meant it for evil but God turned it for good.
 
So it is for us today.
 
Isaiah 54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.

For those who are born again having the Holy Spirit in them: Greater is HE that is in you than HE that is in the World. I John 4:4

"WE WIN!"
 
That is what one of my pastors always said.
 
That is true.  We should always win and we will win so long as we hear what God says and follow God.
 
Unfortunately my pastor announced to the congregation that he was going to be greater than Kenneth Copeland and he set out to do so.
 
The devil will help you to be great.
 
Matthew 4 (the devil speaking to Jesus)
 
8 Again, the devil taketh HIM (Jesus) up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth HIM all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
 
9 And saith unto HIM, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
 
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and HIM only shalt thou serve.
 
My pastor who said he was going to be greater than Kenneth Copeland was Robert Tilton, Word of Faith Church, Farmer's Branch, Texas, in the late 1970's and early 1980's.  I attended this church from approximately 1977-1982.
 
I truly loved Robert Tilton.  Don't you love your pastors?
 
All these years later, I recall words spoken by this man and I love those words.
 
But sadly his downfall was pursuit of greatness.
 
He had a TV show in the early 1980's.  A woman from our church group was invited by Bob to appear on his show.  Just before the camera came on Bob said to her, "Just one thing.  Don't say anything about being a prophet.  It's not popular."
 
Ephesians 4
 
8  Wherefore HE (Jesus) saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.  11 And HE (Jesus from heaven) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
 
For a pastor to tell a prophet not to tell anyone she is a prophet, because it is not popular, is a terrible thing to do.
 
She (Ava) called me after the show and she was crying when she told me what Bob said to her.
 
He killed a prophet with those words.
 
Matthew 23:38  (For killing prophets, Jesus said:)  Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 
 
I delivered those words to Bob Tilton.  God gave me a dream which brought me out of that church group.
 
In this dream, destruction was everywhere.  A meeting was going on and people were attentively listening to a man who was speaking to a group of people.  I went into the room and began to listen.  A second man rushed in and said, "Stop ... wait ... can't you see ... it's too late ... it's already begun."  (That man disappeared and the first man resumed speaking.)
 
No one in the group seemed interested in seeing what had already begun, but I was interested so I looked out the windows which were along the side of the room.
 
What I saw was horrible!
 
There was a tall pole with a yellow civil defense warning system on top of the pole.  A white gas was coming out of the speaker.  It would kill the people and that gas was coming directly toward us who were sitting in that room listening to the speaker. The instrument which was set there to warn us was the instrument being used to kill us!
 
The man sitting next to me had a big smile on his face and he was very attentive and looking directly at the man who was speaking.
 
And then I saw it.  That man was already dead.  He was a corpse though he looked alive.
 
I looked around the room and the other people in the room were also dead.
 
And as I sat there among them, I began to feel drowsy and realized the gas was killing me.
 
End of dream.
 
In 1982, on a Wednesday night, I was at Word of Faith Church and Bob Tilton was speaking to the congregation.  I looked at the man who was seated to my left and was shocked.  He was the man in the poison gas dream.  I looked at the others in the congregation that night.  They seemed to be the people in the dream.
 
I said to God, "I think YOU are showing me to leave this church so I'm going to get in my car and leave.  But if YOU want me to come back, I will."
 
I got up while Tilton was still speaking and got in my car and drove away, and never returned.
 
That was in 1982.
 
Wikipedia:  In 1991, Robert Tilton's TV ministry brought in almost 80-million-dollars a year.  It was described as "the fastest growing television ministry in America."
 
When ABC's "Primetime Life" investigated Tilton's fund raising practices, Tilton's TV show, "Success in Life" was taken off the air.  ABC aired a TV special concerning the fund raising.  After that, members of his church sued Tilton, claiming extortion.  Tilton and his wife, Marte, divorced.  Tilton married a second wife who was a preacher and lawyer.  She filed suit against Tilton and they divorced.  Tilton moved to Florida and tried to start another TV ministry.  He married a third wife.  His church building in Farmer's Branch Texas was torn down.  Today there is no evidence of any church building ever being on that property.
 
The state and federal government became involved in subsequent investigations.
 
The offerings declined from $8 million to $2 million and 85% of the church left Tilton.

I began on radio in January, 1980.  I was still attending Tilton's church at that time.  Tilton told me I should get in touch with Michael Ellison Advertising Agency.  Tilton said to me, "They can do you a lot of good."
 
(Many big-time radio/TV preachers have advertising agencies, like Hollywood stars do.)

Casting devils out of believers

People who are born again and have the Spirit of God can have devils also living in their bodies.
 
After I was born again (in 1975), 3 devils were cast out of me by the Holy Spirit in the night while I was sleeping.  God allowed me to see this in a dream.
 
A smart alecky devil was skipping through my chest cavity and ran directly into the Holy Spirit.  The devil tried to dart back and hide.  The Holy Spirit said, "I see you!  You must come out of her you double minded spirit.  You must go ... you must go ... you must go ... you must go."
 
While I was sleeping I could feel something in my throat area and I began choaking.  But it moved out of me through my mouth and I knew that devil had left me.
 
3 devils were cast out.  A lying spirit and a double minded spirit and a devil which was not identified to me by name.
 
So I have absolutely no doubt that a born again Christian who has the Holy Spirit can also have devils living inside him.

Those "who believe" have power to cast out devils in the name of Jesus, says Jesus in the following scripture.
 
Mark 16
 
14 Afterward HE (Jesus) appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen HIM after HE was risen.
 
15 And HE said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
 
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
 
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In MY name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Dealing with destructive thoughts / Taking thoughts captive

Dealing with fears:
 
Fears are usually thoughts that come directly to our minds.  The devil sends fears to our mind to steal peace from us, to cause us to live in turmoil and dread.
 
Ask yourself this:  Is there any thing I fear right now?  and begin making a list of those fears.  
 
Pray over each fear immediately.
 
Philippians 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
 
* Next dental appointment:  Prayers: Please cause this to go quickly.  Please have dentist deal fully with pain so there will not be any pain.  Please don't let dentist frighten me with words concerning what might happen. Please settle dentist and guide hands of dentist and give dentist wisdom on best procedure for difficult areas.  Please don't let dentist do more than is absolutely necessary.
 
* Pam Padgett, who deals with publishing our blog, was notified that Google is changing the way pictures are handled on the blog.  This change is scheduled to be effective starting on Thursday, July 20, 2023.  They will try to automatically move all of our existing pictures, but have warned that there may be problems.  This was a concern to Pam and she asked God if there was anything she could do to prepare for this upcoming change.  After she prayed, the idea came to remove all of the old "Free E-book today" postings which have pictures of books, which she is doing.
 
* Then little, fleeting thoughts came to Pam, such as "You won't have time to remove all those postings and pictures of books." (devils) At first she didn't recognize these thoughts as coming from devils since they quickly darted in and out of her mind. (Often devils operate this way, sending thoughts so quickly into our minds that we hardly realize they are coming.) 
 
When she realized what was happening, she turned to God and was reminded of the following:  Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. (Proverbs 16:3)  So she committed this to God, trusting that HE will establish her thoughts in getting this taken care of.
 
*  September 2022, Pam was diagnosed with a high grade bladder cancer.  Doctor told Pam she would die within a year or two unless she underwent treatment and prescribed chemotherapy followed by surgical removal of her bladder. Needing to deal for the rest of her life with some way for her body to function without the natural bladder was a really disturbing forecast!  Pam prayed asking God if there was any way she could be spared this bladder removal surgery.  A few days later, the chemo pharmacist gave Pam about 20 pages of writing to prepare Pam for dealing with chemotherapy.  On one sheet from the American Society of Clinical Oncology the following words were printed: "An approach using chemotherapy with radiation therapy may provide the same benefits as bladder removal."  Pam felt this was an answer to her prayer, a way to be spared bladder removal.
 
But she didn't know any radiation doctors.  Thoughts came that she had no way to get the treatment plan changed. (devils)  Other thoughts came that the doctor would get upset that she wanted to pursue a treatment plan other than that prescribed by her and try to block her from making this change. (devils)  So she asked God how to go about changing the treatment plan and was led to talk with the doctor's physician assistant ... who gave reasons this wasn't the best treatment option for Pam.  But then, surprisingly, she offered to make a referral for Pam to talk with a highly regarded and trained radiation oncologist.
 
Fearful thoughts (from devils) came that the chemo and radiation doctors wouldn't agree to chemo with radiation treatment.  Pam prayed about this and was given a dream in which a man was sitting next to her, supporting her, as she talked with the radiation oncologist.  And Pam was reminded of scriptures such as Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of MY righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10)
 
Although the radiation doctor said Pam was not an ideal candidate for chemo with radiation, she agreed to setup this treatment if Pam decided to go this way.  The chemo doctor also agreed to the change after warning of problems that could happen with the changed chemo.  The chemo with radiation treatments were completed in January, 2023, with no problems other some fatigue.
 
Two tests were scheduled for April 2023 to check for evidence of cancer.  Fears came "What if they find cancer?" (devils)
 
Pam was given a dream in which there were 2 bags with waste in them.  Doctors or scientists were looking through the bags for signs of disease, but no diseases were found.  When Pam woke from the dream and prayed about what it meant, she was impressed that it was showing that neither of the tests would find cancer.  This is exactly what happened.
 
The cancer was gone from Pam's body!

Where do fears come from?
 
The apostle Paul tells us this about fears:
 
2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
 
Fears come from devils that bring thought to our minds or fears are from our own fleshly imaginations or from hearing that which other people say.
 
2 Corinthians 10
 
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
 
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
 
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (the Word and what God has said to us).

Joseph: Promoted second in command to Pharaoh

We should see by the previous examples that in terrible situations God worked to free and restore Joseph.  It was not Joseph's doing or the doing of other humans but the gifts given to Joseph by God by bringing dreams and by giving Joseph wisdom to act on behalf of others and allowing them to recognize that Joseph had favor from God.
 
Genesis 41
 
1 And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river. 2 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow. 3 And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river. 4 And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.
 
5 And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good. 6 And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.
7 And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.
 
8 And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.
 
9 Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:
 
10 Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard's house, both me and the chief baker: 11 And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.
 
12 And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.
 
13 And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.
 
14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.
 
15 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.
 
16 And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.
 
God can do it, says Joseph.
 
So Pharaoh shares the dreams with Joseph.  And Joseph gives the interpretation from God.

27 And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what HE is about to do.
 
26 The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one. 27And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.
 
28 This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do HE sheweth unto Pharaoh.
 
29  Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt: 30 And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land; 31 And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.

Genesis 41
 
32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
 
God gives Joseph wisdom telling Joseph what to do and Joseph shares this wisdom from God with Pharaoh.
 
33 Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.
 
34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.
 
35 And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.
 
36 And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.
 
37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
 
38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
 
39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: 40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

44 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.
 
45 And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

48 And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.
 
49 And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number.
 
50 And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him.
 
51 And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.
 
52 And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.
 
53 And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended.
 
54 And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.
 
55 And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do.
 
56 And the famine was over all the face of the earth: and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt.
 
57 And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.
 
Joseph is now in a position to provide for the children of Israel.  God has made this possible because of the dreams HE has given and the wisdom HE has given to Joseph, HIS called and anointed.

Joseph: Put in prison because of a false witness against him

Should Joseph be bitter because he was in prison because of a false witness against him which caused him to be put in prison?  Should he fret and turn against God asking himself why God had let him down in this?  Should Joseph vow to get even with the one who injured him by lying and causing him to be put in the prison, the dungeon.?  (There is no evidence Joseph did any of these natural things that humans would do in such situations.) 
 
What did Joseph do?
 
Genesis 39
 
21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
 
22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he (Joseph) was the doer of it.
 
23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.

Genesis 40
 
1 And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker had offended their lord the king of Egypt. 2 And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers. 3 And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound. 4 And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward.
 
5 And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were bound in the prison.
 
6 And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad.
 
7 And he asked Pharaoh's officers that were with him in the ward of his lord's house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?
 
8 And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.
 
9 And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me; 10 And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes: 11 And Pharaoh's cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand.
 
12 And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days:  13 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.
 
14 But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house: 15 For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.

The chief baker tells Joseph his dream after he saw the butler received a favorable interpretation from Joseph.
 
The butler had a different heart from the chief baker.
 
16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head: 17 And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head.
 
18 And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation thereof: The three baskets are three days:
 
19 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.
 
20 And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants. 21 And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand:
 
22 But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.
 
23 Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.
 
(Later he did remember and told Pharaoh that Joseph was a man who could interpret dreams, but Joseph was left in the prison 2 more years.)

God intervenes on behalf of Joseph getting him out of prison by giving Pharaoh two dreams:

Joseph: Bought in Egypt by Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh’s, and captain of the guard

Genesis 39
 
1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.
 
2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
 
3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
 
4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.
 
5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.
 
6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.

7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
 
8 But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; 9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
 
10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
 
11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.
 
12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.

Potiphar's wife bears false witness against Joseph:
 
13 And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth, 14  That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice: 15 And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled, and got him out.
 
16 And she laid up his garment by her, until his lord came home.
 
17 And she spake unto him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me: 18 And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled out.
 
19 And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled.
 
20 And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.
 
21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
 
(Even when the witness against us is false, God will uphold us and will deal with the situation.)
