The church at Sardis:  Jesus says:
 
Revelation 3
 
1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; 
These things saith HE that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. 
If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with ME in white: for they are worthy.5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

There are many really bad church groups today.
 
But "even in Sardis" some people were found worthy in that church group!

Jesus instructs the church, the individuals, to "overcome".
 
Our names can be blotted out of "the book of life" unless we "overcome."
 
We overcome each problem of this life through God by turning to God in prayer and laying the problem out before God and then doing anything brought to our mind by the Holy Spirit and keeping our faith in God through prayer.

In 1975, God showed me this: You don’t have to be ill to die

Moses was not ill when he died.
 
Deuteronomy 34
 
1 And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. God says to me: ”One step at a time. One step at a time. It is enough.”

When we are confronted with a shock, the first thing is not to panic.  The devil will likely hit your mind with all kinds of fears and what to do.
 
The important thing is to do nothing but pray, and allow God to establish your thoughts.
 
Philippians 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
 
It often helps in extreme stress to write each thought down and pray over each thought and when God brings a scripture or instruction to your mind, write it down with that fearful thought.

Example:  A shock came to me the week of September 12, 2022.  I began writing down fearful thoughts and things God said to me, and this settled me greatly.
 
* (Prayer) Please give us wisdom.  James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
 
Romans 8:28   And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.

Prayer:  Please show us which step to take and when to take it!  Please don't allow us to be pushed into taking any step by thoughts from devils.  Please make it very clear when we are hearing from YOU to take a step.

Jesus sits at the right hand of God and intercedes for us

14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. (declaration of belief)15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The Holy Spirit also intercedes for us:

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
 
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.27 And HE that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because HE maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.

We know these truths because this is what the Bible tells us.

Jesus delivers us from this present evil world

Galatians 1
 
3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,4 Who gave Himself for our sins, that HE might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

God spoke to me on the night of August 5, 1975, and said to me:  "Joan ... you know all those mistakes you've been making?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."
 
"Sins!" I exclaimed.  I thought they were mistakes.
 
Instantly God caused me to be born again.
 
I was a new creature:  I no longer wanted to be with the people of this world that I had been with before God spoke to me.  I no longer wanted to do things of this world.  Now I wanted to go to church.  I wanted to be with people of God.  I wanted to read the Bible and learn things of God.
 
I now had the Holy Spirit to show me sins and to show me the way of God.
 
I knew my sins and no longer did those sins.
 
I was born again!
 
II Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
 
God spoke to me and I was born again instantly.  Then as a new creature, I studied the Bible and learned those things God taught me from The Word.
 
I Corinthians 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

God gives us the Holy Spirit to live in us so we can know the way of God in the issues that pertain to this present life.
 
The Holy Spirit of God brings to our mind things of God so we can choose to go that way as we make decisions.  The flesh will lead us into sins if we choose the way of the flesh.  But the Spirit leads us into the way of God and we chose the Spirit and keep the flesh under as we walk on this earth.
 
Romans 8:1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The way of the flesh:  (Ways of death)
 
Galatians 5
 
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

The way of the Spirit:  (Ways of life.)22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.25  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 
(Walk in ways of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance:  The Holy Spirit brings us ideas giving us the way to go on this earth.  And when we go in the way of the Spirit the fruit that comes for the will be those fruits of the Spirit and not fruits of the flesh.)
 
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
(Pray: Asking God to deliver us from the desire of vain glory and envy.)

As we wait for the return of Jesus, how should we wait

As born again Christians, we are dead to this world and our life is in Christ as we wait for HIM.
 
The day we were born again, we died to this world and the things of this world.  This world no longer is our life.  Now our life is in Christ (The Word) as we read the Bible and hear from the Holy Spirit of God concerning the will of God for us daily.
 
Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
 
Our flesh no longer rules over that which we do today but the Spirit of God rules over us keeping our flesh dead to this world.
 
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
 
And daily we ask God to fill that day with HIS will, and we follow HIM.
 
We come to understand that we are alive on this earth for the purpose of serving God as HIS children.
 
After we are born again, we are changed into new creatures.

Ezekiel 36  (God says)
 
23 And I will sanctify MY great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.26  A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.27 And I will put MY spirit within you, and cause you to walk in MY statutes, and ye shall keep MY judgments, and do them.

God spoke to me on the night of August 5, 1975 and completely changed me.  I was born again.  I no longer wanted to be with the people I had been with before.  I no longer wanted to do the things I did before.  Now I wanted to know about God.  I wanted to read the Bible.  I wanted to be with the people of God.
 
As I read the Bible, I would often see a specific scripture and set about to "do" that instruction in my life daily.  (being recreated into the image of Christ, The Word.)
 
And God gave me other instructions by bringing these to my mind by the Holy Spirit and I began doing these instructions in my life daily.  (being recreated into the image of Christ by doing the Word.)
 
And God taught me.  And I followed HIM.
 
When I didn't understand, God gave me understanding so I could do HIS will.
 
When I didn't know how to do something, I learned to ask God for wisdom.
 
James 1:5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
 
God led me into the life HE ordained for me on this earth and taught me what to do according to HIS will.
 
And my faith in God grew with each experience and still grows even at the age of nearly 85.
 
God said to me:  "One step at a time.  One step at a time.  It is enough."
 
So daily throughout the day, we pray, talking to God about things that trouble us.  And we grow to depend on God daily.  And even when we don't have the answers, we know that God will provide all our needs.  And we trust HIM. And God never fails us.  And that's how we come to live on this earth.

As we wait for the return of Jesus we do what Peter said to do:
 
2 Peter 3:14   Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.
 
We read the Bible.  We set our route by the Word of God, doing that.  We correct ourselves by that which the Holy Spirit gives us and we modify our way by that which the Holy Spirit says to us.
 
And we are certain of the following:
 
2 Timothy 3:16-17   All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

If you are born again, and sin ”wilfully” there is no more sacrifice for sin (Hebrews 10:26)

Jesus told the woman taken in adultery, "Go ... and sin no more."  (John 8:11)
 
She would not be able to commit adultery after the forgiveness, for to sin "willfully" after the knowledge of that sin puts her in the position where there is no more sacrifice for that sin.
 
Hebrews 10
 
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?30 For we know HIM that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto ME, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge HIS people.31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put HIM to an open shame.

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

So what is their hope if they return to sins after being enlightened to these being sins:  returning to adultery; returning to fornication; returning to drunkenness; returning to the life of homosexual or lesbian
 
I Corinthians 5
 
1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,4  In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
(I believe we turn him over to Satan by refusing to keep company with such a person who returned to his sins after being enlightened.)
 
11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
 
13 ... Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

The power of the heavens will be shaken at the end of this world

Matthew 24:29  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

 In the 1980's, God gave me the following dream:
 
The earth slipped on its axis.  People were terrified.  The governments of nations were meeting with the scientists and with the religious leaders to see what could be done about this.  (Nothing could be done.)  In the dream, a TV newscaster was trying to give the news.  But he was so terrified that he just stopped speaking and got up and walked out of the room.
 
The prophet Isaiah tells about this in the following scripture:
 
Isaiah 13:13  God says:
 
Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of HIS fierce anger.

One of our church group had the following dream:
 
She and her husband were going out to buy a television set.  She was at the car waiting for her husband while he was getting ready.  All of a sudden, the sun turned dark.  She was terrified.  She started to run back into the house but she knew this would do not good.  She just fell on her knees.

Revelation 6
 
12  And I beheld when HE had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
 
13  And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.  
 
14 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of HIM that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:17 For the great day of HIS wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

The book of life and the eternal judgment

Matthew 
 
1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and HIS disciples came to HIM  for to shew HIM the buildings of the temple.2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
Everything we can see with our natural eyes will be destroyed at the time of The Great Tribulation.
 
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
 
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
(By this we see that some of the elect of God will still be living on the earth during the great tribulation.)
 
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Then comes the judgment on each individual, good and bad.
 
Revelation 20
 
11 And I saw a great white throne, and HIM that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 3:5  (Jesus says)  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.
 
We overcome all things, large things and small things, by turning to God in prayer and hearing from HIS Spirit and by believing what God says, and by faith in HIS Word to us and by doing HIS word upon this earth.
 
Our name can be blotted out of the book of life, if we fail to overcome the problems of this life through turning to God and doing HIS will.

I Corinthians 6
 
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
(nor abusers of themselves with this world:  seeking pleasures of this world; seeking things of this world and money of this world, and praise of men of this world, and such)

Isaiah 54:17 ... and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.
As we walk and live and breathe daily on this present earth our righteousness is of God for HE shows us what to do and what to think by HIS Holy Spirit who is in us.
 
As we continually do what God shows us, our righteousness is of God for it is HE who showed us to do and to think those things that day.
 
Thus ... in HIM we live and move and have our being ... (Acts 17:28)

So daily we ask God to fill our day.
 
And we follow HIM doing as HE shows us by HIS Spirit.
 
2 Corinthians 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

The devil is a liar and there is no truth in the destructive thoughts that he brings to our mind

The devil brings thoughts to our mind to steal, to kill, and to destroy us.
 
When such thoughts come, we must learn to resist these thoughts, knowing they are of devils.
 
One way to evaluate such thoughts is to take each destructive thought to God in prayer, asking HIM:  "What about this, God?"

John 8:44  (Jesus says:)  He (the devil) was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
 
The devil will eat you alive with thoughts if you allow this to happen.
 
I Peter 5:8-9  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist stedfast in the faith,
 
2 Corinthians 10:3-5  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

1 Timothy 2:1-3   I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
 
I do pray for various leaders of governments of men but I do not vote for anyone.

💥  I was very shocked to see on the platform of a recent Democratic political meeting a man dressed as a woman.  HE was obviously a man for a beard was showing slightly on his face.  The other people on the platform were hugging him and showing this homosexual man that they strongly approved him.

If a man or woman goes against Bible and we "wish him well," we are considered by God to be partaker of his evil deeds, and we will lose reward.

A friend of this world is the enemy of God.  If we support those things done by this world while they are against the Bible, we are the "enemy of God".
 
James 4:4  Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
 
I Corinthians 6:9-10  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

I do not personally trust any politician of either political party in USA.  I believe a person would have to compromise in order to be elected.  I do not choose to partake of either party, though I will pray for the rulers, for the Bible shows me to pray for them.
 
Jesus said:
 
John 18:36     MY kingdom is not of this world: if MY kingdom were of this world, then would MY servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is MY kingdom not from hence.
 
My "kingdom" is not of this world either.
 
The saints of old in the Bible sought a new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.
 
Hebrews 11
 
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for HE hath prepared for them a city.
I consider myself to be a "stranger and pilgrim" on this earth and I look for a new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Like Abraham, I want my "provision" to come from God.  I do not look to governments of men for my "wealth".
 
And I know the following:
 
Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
 
I am fully persuaded that as long God leaves me on this earth HE will supply all my needs.
 
I do not look to governments of men to provide for me.
 
I live in peace because I pray over my concerns and settle my cares with God through HIM.
 
I pray, but I do not vote just because men of this world tell us to vote and we are praised by them when we vote.
 
God chose me to serve HIM and by HIS Word I serve God.

Antichrist, the man of lawlessness, comes through the churches. The apostasy in the churches in the end time.

The apostle John shows us antichrist comes through the church.
 
1 John 2:18-19  Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
 
John also shows us antichrist is a "spirit" ... the spirit of antichrist ... that operates in many men just as the devil is not "one man" but a spirit in many men.
 
I John 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

When the churches water down the scriptures

I've often heard people say their church is not like it used to be but the scriptures are "watered down".
 
This is the end time apostasy that Paul said would come before Jesus returns to gather the elect of God.
 
Churches have fallen away from some scriptures to approve sin in the congregations and to get people of the world to attend their church.
 
When these scriptures are omitted, sinners are approved in the church without repentance:

Paul says:   To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. (I Cor. 5:5)
 
(When we tell such a person that we will no longer "keep company" with him because of the sin he is committing, I believe we deliver that "brother" to Satan for the destruction of his flesh that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.)

"Who is it that restrains antichrist and keeps antichrist out of the churches?"  I asked God.
 
Instantly I knew it was Jesus (The Word) who kept antichrist out.  But when the churches omitted portions of scripture the door opened for antichrist to come into the churches and the end time apostasy to take place in the churches.
 
Churches omitted these scriptures allowing sin into the church and welcoming individuals who committed sin into the church.  And there was no repentance from these sins.  This is the end time apostasy.
 
Those church people who approve sin in the church will be destroyed with the sin when Jesus returns.

Faith: God spoke to Abraham and then Abraham did what God said to do

This is the essence of faith in God.  First, God speaks to us.  Then we obey God.
 
Genesis 12
 
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.  (all nations:  Jews and Gentiles)4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

On August 5, 1975, God spoke to me by bringing this thought to my mind:
 
"Joan ... you know those mistakes you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."
 
Sins?  I was shocked.  And with that I was born again.  God gave me a new heart and a new Spirit, The Holy Spirit, to live in me and lead me and guide me and to show me the will of God.

At the time I was born again, I owned a small business in Dallas, Texas.
 
A man filed a lawsuit against me.  I knew it was ridiculous, unfounded, so I just threw the legal papers on a shelf in my office and paid no attention to these.
 
A few days later, I realized that if I didn't respond to these charges, that man could obtain a court judgment against my business and I could lose all that I had.  So I hired an attorney to represent me.
 
Bills from the lawyer began arriving regularly and I knew all my money would be gone if I continued this way.
 
What to do?  I asked God.
 
And God reminded me of this scripture:  
 
Isaiah 54:17   No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
 
If this scripture is for today, this "weapon" formed against me will not prosper!  So why am I paying these attorneys?  I could go to court without any human legal counsel and represent myself.
 
I was such a new Christian, I decided to go to my pastor and tell him what I was planning.
 
As I drove to the church to talk to pastor, I prayed for God to give pastor wisdom.
 
James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
 
After I explained the situation and my plan to pastor, Robert Tilton, he said:  "Joan ... I perceive that you have faith to do this this way."
 
I called my lawyer and told him that I am now a Christian and what the Bible says and what I wanted to do.
 
Lawyer was horrified!  He said, "Joan ... you don't realize how evil these courts are today.  We are willing to work with you.  It will only take about $10,000 more to try your case."
 
I was shocked!  $10,000 more.
 
" Gordon ... stop ... don't do another thing!"  I replied.  (I probably had only $2,000 cash at that time and if I went the way of the lawyers I would be back in debt and God had told me to get out of debt and stay out of debt, which I had done.)
 
I explained this to Gordon.
 
Then I said:  "The Bible is either true and the promises made by God are for us today or the Bible is just an history book.  This is a good time to find out about the Bible."
 
I released my lawyer that day.
 
About a week later, Gordon returned to my shop and said they, at the law firm, had decided to try my case without any further financial cost to me.
 
I told Gordon I would have to let him know.
 
I began praying:  "God what do you want me to do?"  And immediately I was reminded of these scriptures.
 
Genesis 14  (There had been a war and Abram's side won.)

(I knew God was showing me to turn the "free" legal service down."
 
God gave me about 14 scriptures to help me to not be afraid.  I focused on these scripture to steady myself.
 
About 6 weeks passed.  I received a phone call from the lawyer of the man who was suing me.  He said: "I'm calling you because you do not have a lawyer.  I want to let you know our client dropped all charges and there will be no court case." 
 
I replied:  "Did he drop all charges against everyone else?"  
 
His lawyer said:  "He cut everyone loose.  We tried to get him not to file those charges against you but he wouldn't listen to us.  He was like a mad man."
 
(He was suing several other dealers in American Indian Arts and the Better Business of both Dallas and Fort Worth, charging that we were conspiring to keep him from doing business in the metroplex.)
 
A few days later, Gordon, my former lawyer came into my store.  He said:  "We want you to know that we believe what you said happened happened.  God did not allow this weapon formed against you to prosper."
 
It was over!

Godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Tim. 6)

People often crave excitement and change.
 
God says:
 
I Timothy 65 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Often I pray for God to fill my day.
 
If I have an extra hour before bedtime, I often pray for God to fill that time.

Christian Nationalism

Christian Nationalist is a movement of church goers who try to elect politicians who will vote and make laws in USA government according to the Bible.
 
So what's wrong with that?
 
They are trying to make the world into the church without being born again, leaving out Jesus Christ.  
 
They are trying to force the world to following rules of God without being of God.
 
The movement is being led by Dallas Theological Seminary and two billionaire oil men in Texas.
 
They select men and women and examine them to see if they fit Bible doctrines and if so they will sponsor these candidates in various political offices, funding their political campaign.  As it is time to vote, they make "suggestions" as to what laws to pass.
 
Their churches are called "Bible Church".
 
If you have not heard of this political movement, you probably will.
 
It is very subtle and may seem right.   But it does not fit God's way of dealing with the world as presented in the Bible.

I Corinthians 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
 
I John 5:18-19  We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.  19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
 
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
 
God gives those who are born again a new heart and a new Spirit.  Only God can do this and cause us to be godly.  God changes us from within and makes us different from the world because God gives us HIS heart on the matter and HIS Holy Spirit so we can think as God thinks about the things God calls "sins".  
 
Ezekiel 36  (God says)  
 
23 And I will sanctify MY great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.27 And I will put MY spirit within you, and cause you to walk in MY statutes, and ye shall keep MY judgments, and do them.

The Prohibition Laws of 1929 to 1933 in USA are an example of trying to legislate sin.  They tried to stop drunkenness by prohibiting the sale of alcohol in USA.
 
God did not prohibit drinking of alcohol in the Bible but prohibited drunkenness.
 
Paul told the evangelist Timothy the following: 
 
1 Timothy 5:23  Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.
 
God says in the Bible:
 
Ephesians 5:18  And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
 
The control from God comes from that new heart and new spirit which God gives us when we are born again. 
 
You cannot legislate sins.
 
Galatians 5
 
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
(When we follow the Spirit of God we end up fulfilling the law but from the heart God has given us.)

John 18:26  Jesus said:  "MY kingdom is not of this world."
Hebrews 11:13-16  These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.  But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for HE hath prepared for them a city.
 
Colossians 3:1-4  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with HIM in glory.

If you vote and take part in politics you will not live in peace.  You will think one party is better than the other.  We keep ourselves in peace, trusting in God, and we pray for that person who is ruler.
 
We do not hate the other party.  We recognize politics as a part of the world.  We do not fight and strive with them.  Just pray.

God will destroy this present heaven and earth when Jesus returns.
 
2 Peter 3
 
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.
 
(If you learn to hate the other political party you may end up destroying yourself.  This world will never be righteous.  In the end God will destroy this world.  Keep yourself in peace by trusting God and through prayer over those things that trouble you.  Don't set your affection on this world for it is destined by God to destruction.)

When Jesus returns, HE will awaken the dead in Christ and HE will cause the elect of God who are still alive on this earth to rise to meet HIM in the air and we will all be taken to the new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.  
 
I Thessalonians 4:15-17  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (go before) them which are asleep (dead).16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
 
Matthew 29:31  Jesus says:  And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
 
All who belong to God will rise to meet Jesus in the air and we will then be taken to the new heaven and new earth and this present heaven and earth will then be destroyed by God by fire.
 
Revelation 21
 
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

God supplies all our need (Phil. 4:19)

As we live on this earth, God brings ideas to us concerning what we should do and we follow those instructions.
 
I have found later that those basic things laid the foundation for what I would need later in life.  
 
Everything is set up as I follow the instructions given me by God.

I was born again on August 5 1975 when God spoke these words to me:  "Joan ... you know all those 'mistakes' you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."
 
Sins?  I was so shocked.  
 
And with that I was born again.  Changed immediately by God.
 
God gave me a new heart and a new spirit at that moment.
 
Ezekiel 36  (God says)
 
23 And I will sanctify MY great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.27 And I will put MY spirit within you, and cause you to walk in MY statutes, and ye shall keep MY judgments, and do them.
Then I wanted to know God.  I wanted to read the Bible.  I wanted to be with people of God.

Immediately in 1975,  I began to take action as instructed by God.  
 
Within about 6 months I was completely out of debt and for the remainder of my life on this earth I have lived a debt free life.
 
Now I am almost 85.  I didn't go the way of this world and buy things by credit to have things. Instead I went the way of God shown in the Bible.
 
Matthew 6:33  Jesus says:  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and HIS righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
 
I read the Bible and tried to do that which I saw to do by the scriptures.  Also the Holy Spirit of God would bring to my mind something and I would do that.
 
Along the way God said to me:  "One step at a time ... one step at a time.  It is enough."
 
(I lived well but I did not go into debt for housing or cars or anything.  I saved money and God made it possible along the way for me to have excess cash and when I did I paid cash for housing, for cars, and such.  I didn't try to make money but God led me and money followed what I was shown to do by God.)  
 
And my God supplied all my needs along the way as I followed HIM!  (Philippians 4:19)

Romans 12:2   And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
 
So I made adjustments as I lived on this earth and heard a word from God.
 
I find all my needs are met usually even before there is a need because when I hear a word of adjustment I go that way.

Example:  In 2018, I fell at my house in TEXAS and as the ambulance workers rolled me past my front door to take me to hospital, I heard this word which I knew was from the Holy Spirit of God:  "You'll never see this house again."
 
I was approximately 81 years old at that time.  
 
From the hospital, I put the house in Texas up for sale.  I didn't think twice about this because I had that word from God:  "You'll never see this house again."
 
I was in hospital for 2 1/2 months in Texas.  God led Pam Padgett to take me into her house to live in Colorado.  
 
In 1-1/2 years the house in Texas sold.  That allowed me to have money for future needs.  I put that money into MMDA at bank and held it in reserve.
 
I am totally out of debt.  My social security check of $800 per month allows me to pay for personal needs each month.
 
I have very few expenses and money accumulates monthly from social security.  
 
Although Pam didn't want me to give her money to live at her house, I do give her money each month.  This helps Pam with her expenses, although Pam is out of debt also and lives debt free as I do.  So Pam has more money now since I live here.
 
I love living here with another believer.  Pam hears from God as I do and has faith in God as I do.  It has been wonderful!  I really like it here better than anywhere I have lived before at any period of time.  I am now almost 85-years-old.

A recent adjustment:  It came into my heart to make a change in my television satellite package, reducing TV stations, and this ended up costing $80 per month less.  
 
I have plenty of money to pay for higher level package but I do not need more.
 
Also I was reminded of something God told me many years ago:  "Choose less rather than more."
 
Pam also had been wanting to cut back, eliminating needless TV stations, although I didn't know that until I told her what I would like to do about changing our TV package.
 
We made this change.  I even like having less because now I don't have as many decisions to have to make!  And I have found I do not miss any of the stations that we eliminated.  
 
This is a better way to go!

Many people resist change.  But God often causes us to make those changes!  And I find choosing less is often the better way for us to go.
 
But I'm sure getting out of debt and staying out of debt is important!  And this even ends up being a better way for future as we live in peace on this present earth.

When devil sends thoughts to our mind

When we cry out to God for help, God will help us, then we rejoice in the Word God sends to us and the devil, who has sent fearful and depressing thoughts to our mind, will flee from us.
 
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
 
If we take in thoughts sent from the devil and think on devil's thoughts, he will eat us alive.
 
I Peter 5:7-9  Casting all your care upon HIM (upon God); for HE careth for you.  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist stedfast in the faith,

Recently I was bombarded with destructive thoughts.
 
What will happen to you if you get to where you can't walk?  You can't live here if you can't walk.  What will you do then?  Where will you go?  (I'm almost 85 now.)
 
I cried out:  "God ... help me."
 
And immediately I was reminded of this:  "God will supply all your need."  (Phil. 4:19)
 
"That's right!  I responded.
 
God will supply all my need!

As a new Christian, when devil bombarded me with thoughts, I would often just begin saying:
 
           Praise God.  Thank YOU for my salvation.
          Praise God.  Thank YOU for my salvation.
         Praise God.  Thank YOU for my salvation.
 
And before long, the devil vanished and joy from the Word of God returned to me.

Greater is HE that is in you than HE that is in the world

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

God gave me this dream:
 
A war was going on.  Since everyone dressed alike, it was hard to know which persons were of God.  So we were given "passwords" to identify ourselves to each other.
 
Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
 
When we see they have the Spirit of God and they speak of that which God is doing in their lives, we know they are of God.
 
Most people today who call themselves "Christians" speak of the church they attend, or their pastor and how wonderful he is, and their church building, but they never speak of God and what HE has told them.
 
And I find when I tell them something God has done in my life, they go stone, cold, dead.  They just wait until I stop taking so they can talk of things of this world.
 
And another clue is they really have no understanding from God when they are Christians in name only.

In everything give thanks

One of the great spiritual weapons of our warfare is the giving of thanks to God.
 
The devil tries to destroy us by getting us to complain.
 
If we learn to turn this into praise to God for that which HE has given us, we find a mighty weapon!
 
So the next time you start to complain, make yourself think on those good things in your life.
 
Philippians 4:8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
