A Jewish woman who said she believed in Jesus told me that "God had ordained her to sell my house for me."  I doubted that!  I had just hired a realtor that same morning.  The house sold in 2 days.
 
When I was injured by a fall I was examined at hospital and sent back home, the physicians saying this was broken in an area of my upper arm which did not require surgery.  However it was very painful and I could hardly move.  One of our church members tried to help me but I could see she was not able to do this so I hired home help care.  This church member said I was taking her assignment from God away from her by hiring these people.  But I knew the work with me was wearing her down.  Later she said she was glad I had hired the home help care.
 
Often people think God has assigned them to do something which is not the case.
 
Jesus says:
 
Matthew 7
 
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
(It was not God who assigned them to do that work.)

When the work is assigned to us by God and we faithfully do that work, we will receive reward.
 
God assigned a work for Joshua to do in taking Moses place after Moses died.
 
Joshua 1
 
1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
 
When God assigns us to do something and we do that thing, signs follow confirming the work to be from the Holy Spirit.
 
In February 2022, I awoke one morning at 7 am knowing to contact and reconcile with two women who had left me two or three years earlier.  Immediately I got out of bed and send emails to these women saying, "I just want you to know I wish you well in all things as you go forward."
 
Was that God telling me to do this?
 
Confirmation came from one of the women who said she had been feeling that she was going to be hearing from me and had even started looking for me to appear on her emails, "and now it has happened."
 
I have found that God often confirms that what I have done was assigned by HIM.
 
Mark 16:20  And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.

I believe devils try to imitate God and assign us works to do.
 
But remember:  God's yoke is easy and HIS burden is light.  (Matthew 11:30)
 
James 3
 
13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

A man who was from another country which was around the world from me contacted me.  He said he was a minister and he said God told him to get me to come help HIM like God told Paul in the "man from Macedonia" vision. 
 
But I didn't believe this was God.
 
* I was 81 years old at that time and partially crippled.  It would likely have killed me to try to travel.
 
* This would have been very expensive.  I have found when men ask me to travel around the world they never offer to help me with expenses.
 
* I would have to abandon my own work assigned by God (blog and podcasts) to be able to do this travel.
 
* It would be a very difficult yoke for me and would likely destroy me.
 
John 10:10  Jesus says:  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
 
We must carefully evaluate what we do to be sure the assignment is from God.

The important thing for each of us is not so much "when" Jesus comes, the day and such, but that which is important for each human is staying ready for the coming of Jesus.
 
God has clearly shown us the following:
 
2 Peter 3:14  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.
 
Lk. 21:33-36   Jesus says:  Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY words shall not pass away.34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting (over indulgence), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land? (Psalm 137:4)

Sometimes when we try to share things of God with an unbeliever, it is like wading through thick mud and we feel a heavy weight.  But when we share as God leads by HIS Spirit in us it is lightness and strength.
 
I have learned to do this:  Don't try to share, but when God brings something to my memory when I am with another person, share that!

As we see homosexual & lesbian acts approved by this world and by the apostate churches, we can know we draw nearer to the return of Jesus and the removal of the elect of God from this present earth

As we see leaves begin to bud on the trees we know summer comes,  As we see open approval and rise of homosexuals we can know Jesus stands ready to remove the elect of God from this earth before the coming destructions appointed for the end of this world by God.
 
It is amazing to me to see how fast this approval of homosexual and lesbians and other sexual deviations is happening at this point in time.
 
I Thess. 5:1-5  But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.  Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

The Bible shows us this is one of the signs of the end and the return of Jesus to gather the elect of God.
 
Mt. 24:32-33  Jesus says:   Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:  So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
 
Lk. 17:28-30   Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

God destroyed Sodom in the days of Lot because of the open wickedness displayed by homosexual acts.
 
Genesis 19
 
1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.  (have sex with them)6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.10 But the men (who were really angels of God) put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
(Angels have great power from God.)12 And the men (the 2 angels) said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.
23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;25 And HE overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

Save yourself from this untoward generation

There had been an explosion. Somehow it was known that the person responsible for this explosion had setup another explosion for a specific day. We even knew the approximate time.
I started to leave the building where I was working on the sixth floor before the second explosion was to take place, but just a few steps down the stairs I remembered my purse and that all my identification was in it. I ran to where my purse was and got it.
Then I proceeded to leave, going down the stairs very quickly. I counted each floor as I passed by it descending down the stairs.
Some people were standing along the stairs, talking. I could tell by their talk that they knew the explosion was supposed to be coming, but they seemed to feel no sense of urgency. I didn’t stop to try to persuade them to get out right away. Instead, I went around them and continued getting to the first floor so I could leave the building.
I got out of the building and continued quickly on my way to leave the area.
At one point I was aware the explosion had happened. There was a wall of glass doors in the outside area where I was. I went through one of the doors to the other side, getting as far away from the destruction as I could. I kept walking as quickly as possible.
At one point I saw a woman walking around with a dazed look. She was carrying a recording device. I heard her say she was interviewing people who had been hurt or raped during this event.
I kept walking as quickly as possible toward the parking lot so I could leave.
When I awoke from this dream, I heard, “Save yourself from this untoward generation”
Acts 2:40  And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
Untoward: inappropriate, offensive, perverse, willful, crooked

During the last several years of their lives, my parents lived near my niece, Michelle, and her husband, Jared, and their family in a small town in far southern Oklahoma.  
One day Michelle called to tell me that my mom was very sick and had been taken to a hospital in Oklahoma City.  My mom's kidneys had stopped functioning and she was in intensive care.  
Immediately I started thinking of going to Oklahoma City, which is about 600 miles from where I live.
But then I stopped and turned to God and asked HIM: "What do YOU want me to do?"
The Holy Spirit brought the following concept to me:  To go there would be like stepping into a hill of fire ants ... and that my mom had all the help she needed.  
Both of my sisters and most of their grown children live in Oklahoma and would surely be at the hospital.  I have found that much of what they do and say is very much like the poison of fire ants, and I knew this was a warning to me of the danger of going there.  
I did not go to Oklahoma City to be with my mom, but I kept in touch by telephone with my dad and Michelle. 
Mom recovered enough to be released from the hospital a week or two later.  I spoke with her on the telephone after she returned home.   
She told me of the people who had come to the hospital to see her, including my sisters and their children.  I was so glad to have been spared by God from being there with them. 
Mom also told me what wonderful care she had received at the hospital and that all that she had needed had been provided.  
All of this was exactly as the Holy Spirit had told me.

A couple years later each of my sisters called to tell me that my dad was extremely ill and not expected to live more than a couple days.  They were each on their way to be with him and told me that I needed to go there and talk with my dad as well.  
I turned to God, asking if this is what HE wanted me to do.
The Holy Spirit brought the following to me:  "You have shared everything needed with your dad.  There is no need to go there."
I told each of my sisters I would not be going, and that Dad and I have talked on the telephone many times and there was nothing more we needed to say.  They were upset with me and told me how wrong I was to not go to be with my dad.  
But my dad did not die at that time.  I spoke with my mom a couple weeks later.  She told me my dad was fully recovered and was out mowing the lawn!

When my dad died in 2018, he had not been ill.  He simply died in his sleep.
After learning that he had died, I asked God if HE would somehow let me know whether my dad was born again before he died.  
A few days later I was given a dream.  In the dream my dad was my "brother", and he told me that I had always been there for him.  
I believe this dream showed that my dad was born again, my brother in Christ, and that I had done what was needed where he was concerned.
I was so grateful to God for showing me this.

 In 2019 my mom began to sound so different when I spoke with her on the telephone.  Whereas in the past she talked a lot about what other people were doing, she now spoke of how much she was enjoying reading the Bible.  
 One day she told me that she knew it was God who had led my dad and her to live near Michelle and Jared and how perfect this had been for them and how grateful she was to God for this.   
On 11/25/2020 I was given a dream ... In this dream my mom was standing at a small table on which were several things. She looked in good condition, standing upright and having on a nice dress. She was calmly moving some things on the table around as if putting them in order. I asked if she knew that the EMT’s (emergency medical technicians) were here to put up cameras. She said she had seen them, but didn’t know what they were doing. She just kept focused on what she was doing, putting in order the things that were in front of her, not asking questions or getting excited.
I believed I was being shown that my mom was about to die, but she was in good condition and was getting her life in order.  
A couple weeks later my niece, Michelle, called to tell me that my mom had been put in hospice care by her doctor.  They would simply try to keep her comfortable at home for whatever time she continued to live on this earth.  
I prayed about whether I should go be with my mom, whether there was anything I could do, but was not led to do this.  
I did send the 11/25/20 dream to Michelle and told her of the changes I had seen in Mom over the past several months showing she was born again, wanting to help Michelle with the things God had given me to help me.  As I was writing these things for Michelle,  I was reminded of the following scripture:
2 Corinthians 1:3-4  Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
A few days after sending this, my mom died.   
I was so glad that God had shown me the change in Mom's life, that she was born again before she died.  And also the dream HE had given me in late November was a help and comfort to me.

Does the Bible show apostles and prophets working in the New Testament churches?

Some churches teach say there are no more apostles or prophets, that we do not have apostles or  prophets today in the New Testament church.
 
What does the Bible show us about this subject?
 
First, after the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, we read that Jesus from heaven gave gifts to the New Testament church, and these "gifts" were ministers to help the churches.
 
Ephesians 4:8; 11-12 
 
8 Wherefore HE (Jesus) saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
11-12 And HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;   For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:(Notice this:  Jesus gave "some" ... more than one ... multiple.)
 
Paul was one of those "gifts" given after Jesus was taken back into heaven.  Paul was an apostle, teacher and preacher.  
 
I Tim. 2:7  Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
 
In most of his epistles to the church, Paul identifies himself as an apostle, "not of man but of Jesus Christ."  
 
I Cor. 1:1    Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God
 
Why would Paul so plainly state this to the churches?
 
Because some did not believe Paul could be an apostle.  Paul didn't walk with Jesus when Jesus walked on this earth in the form of a man.  Paul was persecuting the followers of Jesus.
 
Paul even says to the church:  For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.  (2 Cor. 11:5)
 
When Jesus spoke to Ananias from heaven to send him to help Saul (Paul), Ananias objected to Jesus.
 
Acts 9:10-16  And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.13-14 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:  And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.15-16 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:  For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for MY name's sake.

Acts 9:17-21   And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?

26  And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.

Paul was not the 12th apostle, who replaced Judas.  Paul was persecuting the Christians at the time Jesus was crucified.  
 
The 12th apostle, who replaced Judas was Matthias.
 
Acts 1:21-26  Peter says:   Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,  Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that HE (Jesus) was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.24-25  And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two THOU hast chosen,  That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Matthias was the 12th apostle, replacing Judas.

So where does Paul fit?
 
Some churches teach that Paul was the last apostle.  Some churches teach Paul was the 12th apostle.  But we see that Matthias was the 12th apostle.
 
Paul was not the last apostle but was one of the first of those apostles Jesus appointed from heaven.  And there were other apostles also appointed from heaven for that scripture said Jesus gave:  "some apostles" ... multiple apostles 
 
Jesus continues to give these ministers of Ephesians 4:8;11-12 to the churches today and as long as we continue on this earth, Jesus will give from heaven the ministries of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher.  (Eph. 4)

Concerning prophets working in the New Testament church, see the following examples:
 
Acts 11:27-30   And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

Acts 15:32   And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.

Acts 16:4-5   And as they  (Paul an apostle teacher, and Silas a prophet) went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.
This is exactly the same work we, who are ordained by Jesus as HIS apostles and prophets, do today.  We take the Bible and deliver decrees from the NT Bible to the church for them to keep today.
 
We, like Paul, are called by Jesus today from heaven and set into the ministry as gifts to the church today.

Throughout the book of Acts you can see both apostles and prophets working in the NT church.
 
Nothing has changed since the time Jesus was resurrected and taken into heaven and the NT church was established by Jesus from heaven.
 
Actually the New Testament church began with the resurrection of Jesus.
 
We have the NT Bible and the ministers of Jesus teach the churches by the scriptures given us in the NT Bible and the churches are set up according to those things written in the NT Bible for this is all we have to go by showing us what to do in the church today.
 
But many set up their churches by their own wisdom and departed from the rules given in the NT Bible and these are the churches of the apostasy who fell away from the doctrines presented by Christ in the New Testament.

The role of the elect of God as we wait for the coming of Jesus

This world today is active and violent in trying to accomplish their purposes, none of which have anything to do with us, the elect of God, as we wait for Jesus to return.
 
The apostate churches are big and powerful looking, but their power is of man and not of God.
 
The elect of God, those individuals to whom God has revealed HIMSELF, do not seem to have any power when it comes to the world or to the apostate churches.  But our hope is in God!  God is power. 
 
The apostle Peter told us what we are to be diligent to do as we wait for the return of Jesus.
 
2 Peter 3:14  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Being in peace does not in any way mean we support the apostate churches today, nor do we support the works of the world which go against that which we read in the Bible.  If we try to appease either the world or the apostate churches, we will be in danger of going down with them at the judgment of Christ.
 
When they try to come among us as they speak contrary doctrines and tell of their many "good" works, we simply remain steadfast in the upholding of doctrines of the Bible and I have found they no longer want to come "visit" with me and they don't want personal conversations with me so I remain waiting in peace, untroubled by them.
 
Many times I have sent the word of God to various church goers, Catholics, Church of Christ, Baptists, non-denominational ... and they have stayed away from me en-mass. (continuing in their denominations)  while I continue in the peace of the word given me by God, continuing to exhort the elect of God through Internet by blog and Podcasts.
 
Recently there was a brief moment of attempted communication between me and a Catholic woman.  But a great wall seems to exist keeping us from fleshly "fellowship" that we might have pursued, left to our own devices.  God spared me!  She said, "I'll call you this weekend."  I called on God asking HIM to "help me".  There was no phone call that weekend.
 
Our flesh does get stirred up as we desire to renew communications with them, but how can light fellowship with darkness? It is not possible.
 
Only when we are truly one Spirit are we able to fellowship as the elect of God.
 
When we are the elect of God, born again, and they are the church goers there is a great gulf between us.
 
Amos 3:3   Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
 
So we continue our wait for the return of Jesus speaking to the elect of God.
 
It seems important at the point in time for us to differentiate between the elect of God and the church goers.
 
Jesus is coming to gather the elect of God to HIMSELF.
 
Matthew 24:30-31  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
If the church goers become born again by the Spirit of God, then we are one Spirit with them and we are all the elect as we await for Jesus and in some individual cases this could happen.  But I doubt this will happen with entire church groups.
 
The elect will never be able to share with the church goers because we are different spirits, although we will speak as led by the Holy Spirit given the opportunity to speak.  (After I speak I see them withdraw.)
 
We cannot pretend to have fellowship with this world or with the church goers who do not have the Spirit of God else we are continually troubled by them.
 
Light and darkness cannot co-exist.
 
But we can be at peace away from them, putting our trust in God.
 
2 Corinthians 6
 
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you,18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

When Jesus returns, the elect of God will rise in their new spiritual bodies

When Jesus returns, the dead in Christ rise first.
 
There will be a shout from Jesus and the sound of the trump of God and the dead will arise.
 
It will not be in these fleshly bodies but it will be in their new spiritual bodies which will be in the image of God.
 
The spirits of the dead in Christ will rise.
 
A spirit can go anywhere.  A coffin and dirt on top of a grave will not hold a spirit.  Nor will this flesh that is around that dead person hold their spirits back.  Neither will water graves hold a spirit.  All who are in Christ will rise.
 
I Cor. 15:49-50   And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

The dead in Christ rise first:

Jesus will take the elect of God who are still living on this earth up into the heaven in their new spiritual bodies after the dead in Christ have been raised.

In the blink of an eye, those who are the elect of God and are still living on this earth, will be changed into their new, incorruptible spiritual bodies, and be raised off this earth to meet Jesus and the resurrected dead in the air.
 
Blink!  That is how fast we will be changed!

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit: To speak what you want to speak and to ignore that which is given you by the Holy Spirit

We deny and reject the Holy Spirit when we fail to speak that which is called to our mind by the Holy Spirit for fear of that which man would say about us.
 
As we speak that which the Holy Spirit brings to mind, we accept HIM and confess HIM and the words we speak are of God.
 
I was with my favorite aunt, a Church of Christ member, several years ago.  The Holy Spirit brought this to my mind: "Tell her about being taken into heaven."
 
I didn't want to do that!
 
Church of Christ people do not usually delight in supernatural religious happenings!
 
But I knew it was the Holy Spirit speaking to me telling me to do this.  So I yielded myself to the Holy Spirit.
 
The Holy Spirit never "makes" us do anything.  The Holy Spirit reveals the will of God to us.
 
I told my aunt this which happened to me shortly after I was born again.
 
I was asleep in the night when I was "transported" into heaven.  I was with God and Christ and the Holy Spirit.  (I saw no physical bodies.  It was a spiritual experience.)  At that time I was merged into the body of Jesus, made one with the Word of God.
 
A few nights later, the exact same thing happened to me a second time.
 
As I told this story to my aunt, I noticed a "dreamy" type look on her face.  And when I finished speaking she said to me, "Something like that happened to me once and it was all golden."

In 1982, the following word came to me by the Holy Spirit and that word was repeated over and over throughout that day:  "The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God ... The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God ... The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God ...
 
I didn't know what this was going to mean.  But a few days later, God called to my attention several big-time ministers and things that they were doing, and messages to give to them.
 
When I couldn't get the message to them, I was persuaded by God to present the message on my radio broadcast, which was coast to coast in USA, and to name that minister by name along with the message.
 
Then that minister got the message.
 
I had a meeting in Seattle for the radio audience.  The radio station manager was waiting at the door of the meeting room.  When I arrived, he gave me this "warning".  "Joan ... you have many good messages.  Just speak those.  If you continue to speak these judgment messages, I don't know what is going to happen to you.  We might have to put you off the air."
 
Instantly, the Holy Spirit arose in me and I said,  "George ... if I don't speak the message that I believe to be from God then I don't have a message and I may as well be off the air,"
 
If we deny that which God wants us to speak we deny the Holy Spirit.
 
John 12:42-43   Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on HIM; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess HIM, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:43  For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

Jesus raises the dead in Christ.

Jesus gathers the elect in Christ who are still living on this earth and takes them into the air to be with Himself and the dead who are now resurrected and alive.

Staying connected to God daily, second by second, as we live on this earth as we wait for the return of Jesus is critical to us.  We must take every care to God in prayer when the problem arises.  And we settle the matter with God in prayer.  For we do not know the day or hour that Jesus returns and staying connected to God through prayer like this makes us worthy to escape that which is coming upon this world.
 
Philippians 4:6   Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
 
Luke 21:33-36  Jesus says:  
 
33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY words shall not pass away.34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting (over indulgence), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
It is that prayer that connects us to God in all the troubles and cares of this life and the connecting to God makes us accounted worthy to escape that which is coming upon this earth and causes us to stand before the Son of man.
 
Phil 2:12   Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
 
II Cor. 5:10-11  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.  Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;
 
Romans 14:19  Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
 
2 Peter 3:14  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.
 
You cannot live in peace with some people.  You know who they are.
 
You cannot appease devils.
 
You have to come away from them.
 
Matthew 13:44-46   Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:  Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
 
You cannot be around them.  When you are with them and a disturbing subject arises, take a Bible and read aloud that scripture brought to your mind by the Holy Spirit.
 
You will get free one way or another.  Either they will depart from you or they will believe the scripture and turn to God and be saved.
 
You tell them.
 
Don't just send them what I write.  You tell them.  They will just throw away what I say to them.  They already think I am your problem.  We both know that is not true.  God is your problem! for He has led you in His way but they are pulling you back to themselves.

Jesus says: Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white for they are worthy

We see by the Bible that in the end times things become "perilous" in the churches.  (2 Tim. 3)
 
Concerning the end times, Jesus even said unless the time was shortened, there would be no flesh saved.  
 
Mt. 24:21-22  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.  And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
 
On June 21, 2021, I decided to offer my services to a few churches in the area where I live in Colorado, Springs (USA).  We began sending letters to churches and planned out "Virtual Presentations" for those persons interested as follows:
 
# 1.  Keeping ourselves ready for the return of Jesus:

(Connecting continually to God through prayer thus making ourselves "worthy" to escape that which is coming upon this world.  Watch & pray:  Pay attention to that which we are doing and saying, thereby giving ourselves a chance to correct ourselves as needed.  Turning directly to God for help.)

# 2.  Settling all cares and concerns with God and living in peace daily:
 
* Philippians 4:6-7   Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
(Is there anything you dread?  Are you concerned over anything?  Keeping yourselves daily as new concerns arrive.  Developing a diligence in taking matters to God as situations surface daily.  Examples of doing this and being comforted by God by HIS Spirit as a result.)
 
* 2 Peter 3:10-14   But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.10 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.
(Focus on connecting with God continually through prayer thereby keeping ourselves in peace continually daily, as we submit all concern and cares and troubles to God through prayer.)

When women can speak in the church and examples in Bible of NT apostles and prophets

Some churches teach today that women cannot speak in the church.  (What God showed me about this.)

From heaven, Jesus calls HIS ministers and puts them into the ministry offices of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher.  (Eph. 4:8;11-12)
 
Several sections of scripture in book of Acts show prophets working in the NT church and naming prophets by name as an example for church today.

The people of this world do not have the Spirit of God in them.  They do what is right in their own eyes and follow their own flesh and produce the works of the flesh of man.

(Churches fall away from scripture which allows antichrist to come into their churches and set up doctrines opposite to scripture, approving all manner of sin inside their churches, especially in areas of divorce/remarriage and even homosexuals/lesbians.)4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
 
Both the Catholic and the Protestant churches are filled with apostasy, idolatry, changing of doctrines from the New Testament Bible, and setting up doctrines not of the Bible.

Concerning divorce/remarriage:
 
Matthew 5:32  Jesus says:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
 
Romans 7:2-3   For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
 
Mark 10:11-12  Jesus says:  Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.   And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

26  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
 
The apostate churches also set up many things for their people to worship which are not in the Bible.  Such as:  lighting of candles in prayer; crossing themselves; praying to dead humans; trusting in dead humans by wearing medallions or putting medallions in their automobiles for safety;  calling their ministers by names which are not in Bible such as Reverend, Vicar, Pope, Archbishop.
 
When Jesus returns, HE will destroy all church groups who have fallen away from scripture in the Bible and who have set up doctrines other than Bible for their church groups.
 
II Thessalonians 2:8   And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:

The elect of God:
 
The elect of God are those individuals chosen by God with whom God communicates directly causing them to be born again by the Holy Spirit of God, by the will of God.
 
The Spirit of God lives in the elect of God.
 
I Cor. 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
The Holy Spirit WHO is in us searches the heart of God to reveal the will of God to us so we can go in the way of God as we live on this present earth.
 
John 14:26 Jesus says: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
 
John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.
 
I Cor. 2:9-14   But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
 
At the end of this world, Jesus returns through the clouds and gathers the dead in Christ first and they rise to meet Jesus in the air.  
 
Then Jesus sends HIS angels to this earth to gather the elect of God and they rise also to meet Jesus in the air.
 
I Thessalonians 4:13-18   
 
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede/go before) them which are asleep.16 For the Lord HIMSELF shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

When Jesus returns, HE will send HIS angels to gather HIS elect and take them into the air to meet HIM and the resurrected dead in Christ in the air.
 
Matthew 24:29-31   
 
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The dead in Christ who have been resurrected by Jesus and the elect of God who have been raised to meet them in the air, will all be given new heavenly bodies.
 
I Cor. 15:49-53
 
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
(Paul shows us we will be changed from these current physical bodies into our new spiritual body which is in the image of God.  We will be changed in the blink of an eye.  Blink.  That is how fast we will be changed into our new spiritual bodies.)

We will then be taken to the new heaven and the new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.
 
Revelation 21:1-5
 
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their God.4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

God says: This is MY beloved Son. Hear HIM. (Luke 9:35)

Jesus speaks to us today by HIS Spirit, guiding us, teaching us, reminding us of that which HE has said and even showing us things to come.
 
In the Old Testament, the people had to go to a prophet to hear what God wanted them to do.  But in the New Testament all who belong to God have been given HIS Spirit to speak to them.
 
Heb. 1:1-2  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE made the worlds;
 
Each of us who are of God are sealed with the Holy Spirit of God and the Holy Spirit of God lives in us to show us the will of God in the issues pertaining to this present life.
 
Ephesians 1:13  In WHOM ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in WHOM also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Always share that which the Holy Spirit brings to mind when with other people.
 
Resist the fear of offending them but rather submit to that which the Holy Spirit brings to your mind, sharing that.  We don't try to witness but we are a witness when we speak that given to us by the Holy Spirit of God.

After we are born again and have the Spirit of God in us, we learn to control our flesh by following that which is brought to our mind by the Spirit of God, going in that way of God in the issues of this present life.
 
Flesh never improves.
 
We simply learn to follow the Spirit of God when our flesh tries to rise up.
 
I John 2:15-17  Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If we follow that which the Spirit brings to mind, we will not walk in the ways the flesh wants to go.  It is easy, for all we have to do is follow the Spirit of God.  (He will remind us!)

The entrance of THY words giveth light (Psalm 119:130)

Live in peace.  
 
If something or someone steals our peace, we turn to God with the issues to see what God would have us to do.

The apostasy churches killed Jesus by removing HIS Word from the church, and Jesus will destroy these churches with the brightness of HIS coming when HE returns to gather HIS elect

II Thessalonians 2:8  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:
 
God will destroy the world, but Jesus will destroy the churches who "fell away" from various scriptures when HE comes.
 
This is justice because it was the antichrist churches who removed portion of scripture eliminating Jesus, the Word, destroying Jesus, in their churches.
 
When they removed scriptures and set up another doctrine other than the doctrine of Christ, they removed the restraint which had been keeping antichrist out of the churches.
 
II Thessalonians 2:3-4    NASB   No one is to deceive you in any way! For it (the return of Jesus) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
 
6 And you know what restrains him now, so that he will be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only HE (Jesus The Word) who now restrains will do so until He is removed.  8 Then that lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;
 
Paul warned the elders in Ephesus:
 
Acts 20:29-30  For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
 
They "killed" Jesus in the churches when they removed scripture and changed the meaning of the scriptures.
 
So it is justice that Jesus would be the one who destroys those church groups, which HE will do, with the brightness of HIS coming.

The apostate churches removed many scripture such as the following:
 
Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
They sanctioned adultery inside of their own church groups by removal of scripture.
 
And the people in the congregations loved it that way.
 
I Cor. 7:39  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
They did not hold to the instruction given to the church by the Holy Bible.
 
Thus they killed Jesus and denied HIS shed blood by denying HIS doctrines.
 
Jesus will destroy them with the brightness of HIS coming.

And in the day of judgment they will be turned away by Jesus.

Revelation 16:5-6   And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
 
As the Jews hung Jesus on a cross shedding the blood of Jesus, the churches of the apostasy today killed Jesus, The Word, by removing scriptures and changing the doctrines of those scriptures allowing sin in the churches today and destroying themselves and their congregations, crucifying Jesus afresh.
 
Jesus will destroy them, these church groups of the apostasy, with the brightness of HIS coming in the day of the Lord when Jesus returns to gather HIS elect.

When Jesus returns, all nations of the earth will ”mourn”. Why?

The people of this world build treasure for themselves while they live on this earth.  They seek after reputations among other people, empires of possessions, lands of this earth, buildings and all manner of things that we can see with our natural eyes.
 
When Jesus returns through the clouds, all these things will be destroyed by God at the end of this world.

In the Bible, the coming of Jesus is described as a thief coming in the night.
 
2 Peter 3:10-12  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
 
So to the people of this world, the coming of Jesus will signal the end of all they have worked for in this life and all they have accumulated and they will grieve greatly for they know it will all be gone, destroyed ... thus the coming of Jesus is like a thief in the night to the people of this world and all nations of this world will "mourn" when they see Jesus coming in the clouds!
 
But the elect of God look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness!13  Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
(We will never be able to make this current world righteous.)

Matthew 6:19-21  Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

So what do you look for when you go out at night and look at that sky?
 
I'm rarely out at night, but recently we had to take one of the dogs to an emergency hospital.  As we sat at night in the car waiting for the doctor to work on the dog, I looked into the sky and I saw a very bright light in the sky on top of the nearby mountain.  I thought, "Is that a sign in the sky as Jesus said would come in the last days?"  As I continued to look, the light moved slightly to the right and then disappeared from view behind the mountain.  I was a little disappointed that it was not one of the signs in the sky spoken of in the Bible.
 
Luke 21:25-27   And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
 
What do you look for when you go out at night and look into the sky?

When we leave our house and drive down the street and I see the nearby Rocky Mountains, I often say to them, "I see you are still here!"  I know the time will come when the mountains will be moved out of their places.

I was in France in the 1980's.  As I sat on a park bench by the river in Paris, and people passed by talking to one another, I found it to be so peaceful.  Then the Holy Spirit reminded me:  "You don't know the language."

13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for HE hath prepared for them a city.

Jesus comes "as a thief".   What does this mean?
 
I Thess. 5:2-3  For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.  For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
 
Every thing they cherish and work for on this earth will be gone.  And to them who love this world it will be as if a thief in the night struck when Jesus comes.  Thus the people of this world will mourn when they see Jesus coming through the air!

Matthew 24:1-2   And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and HIS disciples came to HIM for to shew HIM the buildings of the temple.2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
 
Do you marvel at the buildings made by humans hands?  or do you remember what Jesus said about all these things we can see with our natural eyes!

When Jesus comes through the air, every eye will see HIM and all the tribes of the earth will mourn.
 
But those who are the elect of God will rejoice for they know their redemption draweth nigh!

At the end comes the judgment seat of Christ:
 
2 Cor. 5:9-10  Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of HIM. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Trusting God through the promises of God in the Bible

2 Peter 1
 
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,3 According as HIS divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of HIM that hath called us to glory and virtue:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Can we really believe the promises of God which are printed for us in the Holy Bible?
 
First consider this:
 
2 Timothy 3:16   All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
 
Even if a man, such as Paul, wrote these scriptures, they are inspired by God.  Therefore it is God speaking to us.
 
That which God says, HE will also perform.  Seriously know this.  The Bible is God speaking to the church.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Through prayer we stay connected with God and make ourselves ready for the return of Jesus.  And we are able to live in peace even in the midst of the problems of this present world when we connect with God, discussing our concerns with God and asking God to help us.

💥  Proverbs 3:5-7
 
5 Trust in the LORD (The Word) with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.6 In all thy ways acknowledge HIM, and HE shall direct thy paths.7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD (The Word), and depart from evil.
(Be doers of the Word and not hearers only.  For the doer of the word is blessed.  Many hear the word but fail to do that instruction, applying the Word to their own lives.)

James 1:5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth" not; and it shall be given him.(It is so important to ask God what to do in the various projects and issues of this present life.)

💥  Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
 
Devils often attack us with fear:  "What if this happens?  What if that happens?"  
 
One day devils brought fears like this to me and I cried out, "God help me!"  And immediately the Holy Spirit said to me:  "God will supply all your need."  I said, "That's right!"  And I rejoiced in that word.  It is true!

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
 
The TV news will bring many fears of this world.  The Word of God shows us what to do as we live on this earth and the Word of God brings peace even in the midst of troubles of the world.  And in this world we will hear things that are not true.  The Word of God is total truth.  And we know many things of the future by what God says in the Bible.

Praise God WHO makes us overcome in each problem of this present life

There is a rest to the people of God and we labor to enter into "that" rest today.
 
No matter what the problem may be, we overcome through God, though HIS plan, through HIS wisdom.
 
Nothing is too hard for the Lord.
 
God created the heaven and earth.  Just look at the creation and know that God has an answer for you, HIS children, and HE will help you, and HE is able to help you.

The examples we have been reading in the Old Testament show us victory after victory as God told them what to do when there was a problem.  
 
And so it is in our lives today.  Whatever the problem might be, God is the answer.  We belong to HIM.  God helps us and shows us what to do to overcome.
 
James 1:5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
 
Acts 17:28   For in HIM we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also HIS offspring.
 
We are HIS children.  Created by HIS Word which HE speaks to us concerning the issues pertaining to this life.  Chosen by HIM as HIS people.
 
God is continually with us and in us by HIS Spirit.
 
I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
 
When we lie down at night and sleep, God is with us, in us, watching over us.
 
We awake and God sustains us throughout the day.  God is never away from us.  God is a constant presence, leading us and guiding us and teaching us.
 
And we follow God.  The world goes as it seems good to them but we follow God in all things.
 
God will never fail us nor forsake us.
 
It is important to let these truths become a part of us.  For by God's presence in us we endure to the end.

I Corinthians 10
11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

Joshua and the children of Israel have entered the land promised to them by God.  They have to possess the land city by city.  But God is with them and has given them this land, promising Abraham, Isaac, Jacob the land which they now begin to possess.
We have read of the great victory at Jericho.  We have seen them defeated at Ai because of a transgression that happened in the victory at Jericho.  We have seen them deal with the transgressor and set the issue right in the sight of God.  Then God sent them into the city of Ai to possess that land.  God gave them the exact plan that would work in victory.  Now they have added Ai to their lands.
 
And God has said to Joshua:
 
Joshua 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
 
5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.9 Have not I commanded thee? 
Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

The same applies to us.  In the land God gives us we will be victorious through doing what God says in the problems that arise.  God will never leave us nor fail us.  As we follow HIM, doing what HE instructs, we will overcome all throughout our entire life on this earth.
 
And Jesus says:
 
Revelation 3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before HIS angels.
 
We overcome through faith in the Word God gives us in the problems of this life.  We live in "that" word.  
 
Thus, in HIM we live and move and have our being, in everything of this life daily.
 
God becomes our all in all.

So we take these examples of the Old Testament and apply them to our lives and learn through them.
 
Joshua 10
 
Five kings gather together to fight against Joshua and the children of Israel.
 
1 Now it came to pass, when Adonizedek king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;2 That they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men thereof were mighty.3 Wherefore Adonizedek king of Jerusalem sent unto Hoham king of Hebron, and unto Piram king of Jarmuth, and unto Japhia king of Lachish, and unto Debir king of Eglon, saying,4 Come up unto me, and help me, that we may smite Gibeon: for it hath made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.5 Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it.6 And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us.7 So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valour.
(Only one thing is important in the problems that surface in life.  What has God showed us concerning this problem?)8 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.
 
Our prayer to God is:  "HELP ME! ...  What do YOU want me to do?"
 
And as soon as we are sure that God has shown us what to do, we do it.  Until then, we wait, trusting in God.

Joshua 10
 
9 Joshua therefore came unto them suddenly, and went up from Gilgal all night.10 And the LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Bethhoron, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.
(We leave nothing undone as we deal with people:  dealing with children, with families, with neighbors, with the church)11 And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.12 Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.14 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.15 And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, unto the camp to Gilgal.

Joshua 10
 
16 But these five kings fled, and hid themselves in a cave at Makkedah.17 And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah.18 And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it for to keep them:19 And stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies (finish the job), and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the LORD your God hath delivered them into your hand.20 And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities.
(They speak their words but we speak the Words given us by the living God by HIS Spirit.)21 And all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace: none moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.22 Then said Joshua, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring out those five kings unto me out of the cave.23 And they did so, and brought forth those five kings unto him out of the cave, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.24 And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.26 And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.27 And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave's mouth, which remain until this very day.28 And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho.29 Then Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with him, unto Libnah, and fought against Libnah:30 And the LORD delivered it also, and the king thereof, into the hand of Israel; and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain in it; but did unto the king thereof as he did unto the king of Jericho.
 
In the New Testament church, we must not allow any unbeliever to remain among our fellowship.  They might come to church and hear the preacher, but we do not take them into our houses until we see that God has given them the Spirit as God has given us the Spirit, for they will bring us down unless God does this.
 
2 Corinthians 6
 
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you,18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Concerning the last days Jesus says:
 
Matthew 24:4-5   And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.  For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
 
When we see God opening their eyes to understand, then we know they belong to God.
 
I John 4
 
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

One very big difference in worshipping God in the Old Testament vs. the New Testament

In the Old Testament, the children of Israel worshipped God in many physical ways.
 
They had things like special garments for the priests of God.
 
God directed them to build a tabernacle for the Word of God and ordained the Levites to move the ark from place to place as they traveled in the wilderness.
 
When they crossed Jordan, they stacked 12 stones to represent the 12 tribes of Israel to use as a remembrance of the event.

In the New Testament,  Jesus said the children of God would worship God in spirit and in truth.
 
John 4
 
19 The woman saith unto HIM, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM.24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.
Anything we can see with our natural eye is flesh and not spirit.

Today we recognize the ministers who are appointed by God by that Spirit given to them by God and by the spiritual gifts given them by God to use to edify the church in the Spirit.
 
In the Old Testament there were many visuals things that symbolized God.
 
This all changed in the NT church.
 
The ministers of the NT church are called by Jesus from heaven, as was the apostle Paul. And they are set into the offices of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher.
Ephesians 4
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8 Wherefore HE saith, When HE  (Jesus) ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
 
11 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Hebrews 1
 
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE made the worlds;
In the days of the Old Testament, God gave HIS Spirit to the prophets and the people had to go to the prophet to inquire of God.
 
But in the New Testament church, all who are born of the Spirit of God have been given that Holy Spirit of God to live in them and guide them and teach them.
 
Therefore we go directly to God in prayer and we hear directly from God by HIS Holy Spirit who lives in us.
 
I Corinthians 3:16   Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
 
John 14:26   Jesus says:  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
 
John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of HIMSELF; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.
 
I Corinthians 2
 
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
