God speaks to Moses:
Exodus 33And HE (God) said, MY presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.15 And he (Moses) said unto HIM (God), If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.16 For wherein shall it be known here that I and THY people have found grace in THY sight? is it not in that THOU goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and THY people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
It is impossible for light and darkness to co-exist in the same room.
When the Word comes to us we become light. That Word separates us from the darkness.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

God protects HIS people as they do HIS commandments:
Exodus 34
23 Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.24 For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God thrice in the year.

God led HIS people through the wilderness:
Exodus 40
34 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.36 And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:37 But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.38 For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

The children who belong to God today are led by the Spirit of God.

Spiritual gift of faith

I Corinthians 12
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
(There is a spiritual gift of "faith.")10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as HE (God) will.
💥💥💥
There is spiritual gift of faith.
This is a faith that is beyond our comprehension. We simply believe God has spoken to us. We have no evidence except for our belief.
We certainly can't explain this to other humans, except perhaps to those who have experienced the same faith that they have heard something from God.

Worshipping God in spirit and in truth

Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ...
The one thing that is the same between the Old Testament church and the New Testament church is this: The ones who believed in God, believed God was speaking and they did that which God said to do.
💥💥💥
In the building of the tabernacle, we see the following testimony:
Exodus 39:32 Thus was all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation finished: and the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.
In the Old Testament, God spoke to Moses and Moses delivered the Word of God to the people.
In the New Testament, we follow that which the Holy Spirit says to us in the issues of this present life.
When God gives us a scripture, we do that scripture.
When God brings to us a concept, an idea, we do that idea in the issues of this present life.
💥💥💥
Where do we worship God? How do we worship God in today's church?
John 4
19 The woman saith unto HIM (to Jesus), Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM.24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.

Hebrews 11
23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing HIM who is invisible.
Today we also see HIM who is invisible as we follow the Spirit of God, doing as God shows us to do by the Spirit.
God is invisible, being a spirit. The Holy Spirit is invisible. We follow that which is not seen by human eyes. For God speaks to us by HIS Spirit and we follow HIM, believing that which we have heard was God speaking and we believe what HE tells us and we do that which HE tells us, thus resting in Him, in HIS Word to us.
This is the New Testament church today. Hearing the Word God speaks by HIS Spirit and believing it is God who spoke to us and doing that which God tells us to do.
Thus we worship God in spirit and in truth.

Spirits bring thoughts to our minds.
God speaks to us by HIS Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus.
The devil also brings thoughts to our mind, often to make us fearful and to torment us and to pull us away from the assignment given us by God and to cause us to doubt God.
The apostle John said:
I John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:
This Podcast concerns ways devils would bring thoughts to us to destroy us and ways God helps us in times of trouble and temptations.

Hebrews 1
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Today Jesus sits at the right hand of God, and speaks to us, the children of God, by HIS Holy Spirit who lives in each person who believes in HIM.
By the Holy Spirit of Jesus we know what God wants us to do on this present earth in the issues of this present life.
The Spirit of Truth teaches us all things, reminds us of all that Jesus says, guides us into all truth, and shows us things to come as HE brings to our mind truths and concepts concerning this present life.
Therefore the apostle Paul says:
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
The flesh would lead us to do the following things:
Galatians 5
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
The Holy Spirit of Jesus leads us to do the following:
Galatians 522 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
As we follow the Holy Spirit, the ideas brought by the Holy Spirit, we will not fulfill the desires of our flesh.
Galatians 5:16
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

God called Moses to come up to HIM and Moses was with God 40 days in the mountain and God gave Moses commandments for the children of Israel.
All his life, God prepared for Moses to lead HIS people. The call of God was on Moses even from his youth. God arranged for Moses to be taken into Pharaoh's daughter's house as a baby where he was "learned in all the ways of the Egyptians" and he was in a very high position in Egypt.
We read the following about Moses:
Acts 7
20 In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father's house three months:21 And when he was cast out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.23 And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.24 And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian:25 For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.
(We see that Moses knew even then that he would be used by God to deliver the children of Israel.)26 And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?27 But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?
(In fact, God had made Moses to be a ruler and judge over the people of Israel and that would happen 40-years later when the time was right.)28 Wilt thou kill me, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday?29 Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.
When God revealed HIMSELF to Moses when Moses was 80-years-old in the land of Midian and called Moses and charged Moses to go back to Egypt where he would deliver the children of Israel, we see the following:
Exodus 3:10-11 God said to Moses: Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth MY people the children of Israel out of Egypt.11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
But 40 years earlier when Moses killed the Egyptian and freed the man of Israel, Moses knew he would be used by God to deliver the Israelites from Egypt.
In God's time, this would happen. Moses was called by God, appointed for a work of God, and trained by God for this work. It was not of Moses but of God.

Now in the wilderness, God takes Moses up to the mount to receive the ten commandments for the nation of Israel.
Exodus 24
12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to ME into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.13 And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.14 And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them.15 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.16 And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day HE called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.17 And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.

Jesus sets up the New Testament church after HE is resurrected into heaven.
Acts 2:47 And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
We don't join the church by our own will. God opens our eyes to HIS truth and when that happens we are born again, made into new creatures by the Spirit of God.
Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
Salvation is of God. God opens the eyes of those who are chosen by God to salvation.
We are all members of the body of Christ but some are set into the church by God to do the work of the church.
It is a call of God by the will of God and not by our own will that we are born again and put into the church to do specific works in the church.
We believe because God opened our eyes to believe.
Thus Paul explains:
Romans 9
16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew MY power in thee, and that MY name might be declared throughout all the earth.18 Therefore hath HE mercy on whom HE will have mercy, and whom HE will HE hardeneth.

God speaks directly to us who are being saved.
To Pam Padgett, God used a motorcycle accident where one of her high school classmates was killed, and God opened Pam's eyes for her to see her need for salvation, and she called on God and asked HIM to save her, and HE did. But Pam's mother and sisters who heard of that same motorcycle accident had no real change take place in their lives.
(Pam was a teenager at that time.)
After she called on God, she knew something of God was in her.
Years later she saw a scripture and knew what it was from God that was in her.
I Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
(Pam was also given by God a ministry office, "helps", to work in the church.)
I Corinthians 12:27-28 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.28 And God hath set some in the church (to work in the church), first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
In 2012, God gave me a dream showing me to start a blog. I asked Pam to set up a blog for us. Now Pam does all the technical work for this ministry in publishing writings for blog, books on Amazon, Podcasts, Twitter. I can do none of these technical things and without "help" we would not be able to do blog, books, Podcasts, or Twitter. Pam was set in the body of Christ to do these things for the church.
God trained Pam in all these things even before the need surfaced.
She had a call on her life to do these works in the ministry and at one point, she was given a dream showing her I was her "supervisor", but the call from God was on her life and she was trained by God.

On the road to Damascus, Jesus revealed Himself from heaven to the apostle Paul and then by a voice from heaven Jesus spoke to Paul. Paul was changed forever but the men who travelled with Paul were not changed.
Acts 9
1-2 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou ME?5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord?
And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
(With this call of Jesus, Paul's life was changed completely, instantly. But the other men who traveled with Paul heard this same voice and were not changed.)6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt THOU have me to do?
And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.Paul gives more detail of this calling from heaven in the following scripture:
Acts 26
14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou ME? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.15 And I said, Who art THOU, Lord? And HE said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in ME.19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
Paul did nothing worthy of salvation. Paul was persecuting the followers of Jesus at the time Jesus called him from heaven and changed him.
Salvation is by the will of God. God speaks to the individual who is being saved and God reveals HIMSELF to that individual and God opens the eyes of the one being saved and that individual now sees things of God.
God might show HIMSELF to you at the grocery store, or at your home, or in a church meeting. But to each who "see", it is God who causes that individual to "see".
And then he is born again and given the Holy Spirit of God to lead him and to guide him for the remainder of his life on this earth.
I believe most of us who are born again by God know that we did nothing to make us worthy of salvation. It was simply that God chose us and revealed HIMSELF to us and never again were we the same as we had been before this happened.

Matthew 16
13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, HE asked HIS disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.15 HE saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock (the truth revealed by God) I will build MY church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

After I was born again, my cousin (Church of Christ member) said to me: "Well ... I believe you are a Christian. I just don't see how you can be."
(She didn't understand what it is to be born again by God by HIS Spirit.)

Hebrews 5:4 And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
After Jesus was resurrected, from heaven Jesus set up the ministries in the New Testament church.
Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore HE saith, When HE (Jesus) ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men ... 11-12 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
You can't put yourself into the ministry by going to Bible school. You must be called by Jesus from heaven as Paul was called.
You can't give yourself the gifts of the Holy Spirit. God gives individuals the gifts of the Holy Spirit as HE wills. (I Cor. 12)
A woman at church came to me once and said to me, "I want to do what you do."
I replied, "You do?" (I was really surprised that anyone wanted to do this.)
Everything is by the will of God, not by the will of man.
We are born again when God chooses to reveal HIMSELF to us.
When we are set in one of the ministries, it is because Jesus choose us to do this.
💥💥💥
John 3:3 Jesus said: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
I Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Romans 8
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

John 14:6 Jesus says: I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by ME.
Jesus, The Word, is the way to go to God.
When God speaks to us, we believe the Word and we agree with what God has said and we are born again and given the Holy Spirit of God when we believe the Word given to us.
And immediately God changes us into a new creature, not of ourselves or of our own works, but by God will.

In the Old Testament God spoke to HIS people by HIS prophets.
Moses was called by God to come up to the mountain to be instructed by God.
Exodus 20
1 And God spake all these words, saying,2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate ME;6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love ME, and keep MY commandments.7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.13 Thou shalt not kill.14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.15 Thou shalt not steal.16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto ME, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record MY name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.25 And if thou wilt make ME an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

Exodus 19
1 In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.2 For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.3 And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto Myself.
(It is good for each of us to think on those things which God has done in our lives.)5 Now therefore, if ye will obey MY voice indeed, and keep MY covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto ME above all people: for all the earth is Mine:6 And ye shall be unto ME a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation.
These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

1 Peter 2
1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
(spiritual sacrifices: seeking God's will; giving up our own ways and fleshly desires in order to go in HIS ways; following the ways shown us by HIS Spirit.)6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on HIM shall not be confounded.7 Unto you therefore which believe HE (Jesus Christ the Word) is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people;
(God chose each of us by opening our understanding to the Word, making us HIS own. After we understood we chose Him, HIS way. But first HE, God caused us to see, caused us to understand the truth of the Word. Thus God chose us. We did not choose God until after God revealed HIS own truth to us.)
that ye should shew forth the praises of HIM who hath called you out of darkness into HIS marvellous light:
(We praise God and exalt God each time we share with other people that which God has done for us.)10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
(God chose us having mercy on us. Romans 9:16-18 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew MY power in thee, and that MY name might be declared throughout all the earth. God chose us and revealed HIMSELF to us, not of any goodness in us but because of goodness in HIM. Therefore we are continually grateful to God for our salvation!

God opened our eyes to believe in Jesus, The Word. And God gave us HIS Holy Spirit to teach us and guide us and to remind us of everything The Word has said to us.
John 14:26 (Jesus said) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of HIMSELF; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.
I Corinthians 2
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

I John 4
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us.
Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

The Holy Spirit of God brings to our mind scriptures and concepts to show us what to do as we deal with the problems of this present life. As we go in the way shown us by the Holy Spirit, we produce the fruits of the Holy Spirit by our actions and we do the will of God as we do that which the Holy Spirit shows us to do and to say.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance:
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Old Testament and New Testament governments compared

Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ...
The Old Testament and the children of God:
Moses selected men from the tribes of Israel and they assisted him in judging the people. There were 600,000 men (plus women and children) in the wilderness so it became too much for Moses to do all the work alone.
Moses' father-in-law suggested another plan for Moses in dealing with the people.
Exodus 18
8 And Moses told his father in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how the LORD delivered them.9 And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which the LORD had done to Israel, whom HE had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians.10 And Jethro said, Blessed be the LORD, who hath delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, WHO hath delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.11 Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly HE (God) was above them.12 And Jethro, Moses' father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' father in law before God.
💥💥💥
13 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening.14 And when Moses' father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto even?15 And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to enquire of God:
(The people in the Old Testament did not have the Holy Spirit so they went to a prophet to inquire of God in the matter at hand.)16 When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and HIS laws.17 And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good.18 Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.19 Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God:20 And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:22 And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.23 If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.24 So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.
💥💥💥
(There were 600,000 men ... plus women and children.)25 And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.26 And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.27 And Moses let his father in law depart; and he went his way into his own land.

Later in the Old Testament, God set up men, and even women, to judge HIS people and to show them the way to go as they lived on this present earth.
The prophets of God, such as Moses, were used by God to judge HIS people and show them the laws of God which were right in the sight of God.
The prophets were given the Holy Spirit of God in the Old Testament but the people, and even the kings of Israel and Judah, had to come to the prophet to inquire of God and seek the will of God.
Today, in the New Testament, all who belong to God are given the Holy Spirit so we go directly to God through Jesus to inquire of the will of God.
But this was not the case of the Old Testament.
God set up judges.
Here is one of those judges set by God:
Judges 4 (Deborah: a judge over Israel)
1 And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, when Ehud was dead.2 And the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host was Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.3 And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.4 And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.5 And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.6 And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?7 And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.8 And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.9 And she said, I will surely go with thee:

The judges of Israel were selected by God. But after a season, the people of Israel demanded that they be given a king to rule over them as the other nations had.
God did not like this and God told them what their king would do to them but they insisted on having a king to rule, so God gave them a king.
I Samuel 8
7 And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected ME, that I should not reign over them.8 According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken ME, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.9 Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.
💥💥💥
The first king given by God was Saul.
But Saul disobeyed God.
I Samuel 15
1 Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over HIS people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
Saul did not fully obey that instruction which God delivered to him by the prophet Samuel.
So God took the kingdom away from Saul.
And God anointed David to be king over His people.
After David, Solomon was king.
Then the kingdom was divided into 2 parts: Judah & Israel ... and there were 2 kings, one over each part of the children of Israel.
Some did right in the sight of God while others did evil.
Throughout the Old Testament the prophets, selected by God, carried judgments of God to the kings and to the children of Israel. The kings and the people came to the prophets to inquire of God during the period of the Old Testament.

The New Testament Church:
All those individuals who are born again by God are given the Holy Spirit to lead them and guide them in the New Testament church and this changes everything and sets up a different order in the New Testament church today.
I Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

The New Testament church is set up by Jesus from heaven as follows:
Ephesians 4:8;11-12 Wherefore HE saith, When HE (Jesus) ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. 11 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
💥💥💥
Paul was one of these New Testament apostles given to the church from heaven after Jesus arose.
Acts 9:1-9 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou ME?5 And he said, Who art THOU, Lord?
And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt THOU have me to do?
And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
💥💥💥
Paul tells more about that which Jesus said to him in the following scripture:
Acts 26
15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord?
And HE said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in ME.

Today there are still prophets in the NT church. We see several examples in the New Testament Bible of prophets working in the NT church after the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
See Acts 11 and Acts 21 where Agabus a prophet comes to the NT churches to do the work of God.
Also the apostle Paul took Silas, a NT prophet, with him on his ministry journeys.
And in the book of Acts, we see prophets speaking to the churches to confirm the Word of God to the NT church.
💥💥💥
Acts 11:27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.
Acts 15:32 And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
Acts 15:40 And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
Acts 17:4 And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.
I Corinthians 14:29 (In the gathering of the church, Paul says.) Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
Acts 13:1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
💥💥💥
In the New Testament Bible, there are no such things as: pope, cardinals, archbishops, priests, vickers, ministers of music. No minister called himself "Reverend" in the Bible. Ministers in the NT Bible identified themselves as apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher. They did not wear special garments as in the Old Testament.
💥💥💥
And in the NT church, we have elders/bishops (the same office), and governments inside the church caring for the church: (as follows)
I Corinthians 12:27-28
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.28 And God hath set some in the church (some are set to work in the church and care for the church), first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
💥💥💥
Titus 1 (elders/bishops)
4 To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
(elder and bishop are titles used interchangeably and are the same office in the church)
8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
I Timothy 3
1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
💥💥💥
1 Timothy 3 (deacons)
8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a all good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
💥💥💥
Today there are many denominations of churches set up by men by their own will, bringing division to the body of Christ as Paul told us in I Corinthians 3.
I Corinthians 3 (Paul says)
1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
(One says, "I'm Methodist." Another says, "I'm Baptist." dividing the body of Christ by their denominations.)
Ephesians 4
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,6 One God and Father of all, WHO is above all, and through all, and in you all.
💥💥💥
And there is the end time apostasy today in the church groups where they have fallen away from specific scripture and have set up their own church doctrines which are opposite from the doctrine of Christ in the Holy Bible.
The apostle Paul said this apostasy in the church where antichrist reigns in the churches had to happen before Jesus could return.
II Thessalonians 2:3-4
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
(In 1982, I was reading the above scripture and God explained to me: "The falling away are not people leaving the church groups. The falling away are the church groups leaving the scriptures.")
Paul said this would come in the end time churches:
Paul speaking to the elders of the church at Ephesus.
Acts 20:29-30 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
💥💥💥
God will destroy the antichrist churches of the apostasy when Jesus returns.
II Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:

When Jesus returns, HE will raise the dead in Christ and HE will send HIS angels to gather the elect of God who are still alive on this present earth.
I Thessalonians 4
16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Matthew 24
31 And HE (Jesus) shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

These Old Testament examples teach us to follow God. They allow us to see the work of God on behalf of HIS children. And these examples show us God is always giving information in the problems of life to HIS children.
I find these examples to be strengthening and faith building.
The children of Israel had to fight in many battles, and so do we today. For to enter in to that land promised by God, we will have many who stand up against us, even people in our own church groups.
But we will learn that the Word from God is all that matters.
Proverbs 21:30-31 There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD. The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.
All that matters is, "Did God tell me to do this thing?"
💥💥💥
The apostle Paul explains:
I Corinthians 10
5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
Exodus 17
1 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink.
And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?4 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

There are many problems in this life and we learn to turn to God for answers to each problem.
Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (The Word which is given by God).
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Exodus 17And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink.
And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.7 And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?
(God is not pleased when HIS people murmur, complain. Instead we learn to take each problem to God and to wait patiently for God to bring us HIS Word to deal with the issue of this world.)
💥💥💥
The children of Israel began the first of many wars which they will wage by the commandment of the Lord against the other nations so they can enter the land promised to them by God and live in those lands.
In this present life, we, too, go through many "wars" so that we can do the will of God on this earth.
II Corinthians 10:4-5 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Exodus 17
8 Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
12 But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

Exodus 16
1 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:
(murmured: complained against)3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in MY law, or no.5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.
(They were not permitted to gather food on the Sabbath nor do any work at all in cooking food on the Sabbath, not even to light a fire for cooking in their tents on the Sabbath. So they had to gather food the day before the Sabbath and cook food the day before the Sabbath.)6 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that HE (God) heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?
(When I start to complain about something, I am often reminded that God hears this and I often stop myself from complaining about the situation and start praying instead.)8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against HIM: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.9 And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before the LORD: for HE hath heard your murmurings.10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.

Exodus 16
11 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God.13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.16 This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.19 And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.
(God was going to provide their daily needs each day. But they didn't trust God so some of the children of Israel provided for themselves, just in case ... and it stank and bred worms in the left over bread.)21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.
💥💥💥
22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field.26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.
💥💥💥
28 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep MY commandments and MY laws?29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore HE giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.30 So the people rested on the seventh day.

31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.32 And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.33 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your generations.34 As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.

No man shall stand before thee all the days of thy life (Joshua 1:5)

Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ...
From the beginning of my being born again and changed into a new creature by God, HE showed me that no man would stand before me all the days of my life. I would overcome all through HIM and through turning to HIM and by doing that which HE said.
I lived in Lubbock, Texas, in a house owned by Jesus Ministries. It was tax deductible.
When I left Lubbock, and put the house up for sale, the Lubbock tax assessor put the house into a taxable status, removing us from tax deductible status on the house that was for sale.
But the house was still owned by our ministry group which was declared non-profit by the USA government and the State of Texas, yet the city of Lubbock tried to change our status.
They wanted us to prove to them that we were tax-deductible even though they had the papers saying we were tax-deductible from both the USA government and the State of Texas.
They were trying to charge us $10,000 per year property taxes while the house was for sale.
We could not pay such as a non-profit tax deductible ministry.
I was furious with the tax assessor.
God calmed me down that night, and when I awoke the next morning, I knew exactly what to do. I believe God planted this in my heart that night.
I sent the following to the tax assessor of Lubbock, Texas.

Another example: From August 4, 2021
A woman from the office of my eye doctor called to say they need me to come in for glaucoma testing and to take a "Field Test." But I had just been to this doctor in April, 2021, and it was very confusing to me to think of going back so soon.
(When something seems wrong to me, I have learned to question the matter)
So I told this woman I did not want to take a Field test.
(When I was in the hospital, after an accident in 2018, I learned that patients have a "right of refusal" concerning testing or medications.)
She said it was a part of the Medicare package. She then said, "So can we make an appoint for you?" I said, "No."
Then she said they would not fill any more prescriptions for the eye drops that I take for glaucoma unless I made an appointment. I felt something was wrong with this office.
After the phone call I began praying. I felt disturbed every time I thought of returning to that doctor.
The day after the phone call, I awoke knowing what to do. (Often God plants in my heart what to do in such matters.)
I wrote the following letter to this eye doctor.
Dear Doctor:
This week, I received a call from your office and was told you would not fill any more prescriptions for me unless I came in for tests and took Field test.
I have called other doctors and each of three have told me I have "right of refusal" for such things as Field test and they will treat me even if I do opt out of this test.
Therefore I have decided to change from you though I have enjoyed you personally.
Please send my records to following doctor:
Thank you:
Signed:
Joan Boney
(When I was in hospital in Lubbock, Texas, in 2018, I learned that medical patients have "rights" and we can refuse certain medicines or procedures. The knowledge of this has been very helpful to me. I have found medical people often try to bully you into doing something, often by fear. And sometimes they try to trick the patient. I have declined several times such things as medications when I do not feel such the right thing for me. Of course, I am praying and asking God what to do and if God told me to do something I would likely do it. And I have faith in God's ability to communicate with me when something is really needed.)

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Joshua 1:5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
(I believe both of the above promises are valid for each person who is born again and has access to God and HIS wisdom. If something feels wrong to me, I pray. And if it continues to feel wrong, I decline doing this thing.)

Victories in the problems of life
Thursday Sep 09, 2021
Thursday Sep 09, 2021
Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ...
Without problems, would we see the victories of God?
The children of Israel greatly rejoiced when God brought them through the Red Sea and when God drowned Pharaoh and his men in the Red Sea.
Exodus 15
1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for HE hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath HE thrown into the sea.
2 The LORD is my strength and song, and HE is become my salvation: HE is my God, and I will prepare HIM an habitation (making myself ready for God to live in me); MY father's God, and I will exalt HIM.3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is HIS name.
💥💥💥
4 Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath HE cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.6 THY right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: THY right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.7 And in the greatness of Thine excellency THOU hast overthrown them that rose up against THEE: THOU sentest forth THY wrath, which consumed them as stubble.8 And with the blast of THY nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.10 THOU didst blow with THY wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.
(One puff from GOD and they, the enemy, were finished.)11 Who is like unto THEE, O LORD, among the gods? who is like THEE, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?12 Thou stretchedst out THY right hand, the earth swallowed them.13 THOU in THY mercy hast led forth the people which THOU hast redeemed: THOU hast guided them in THY strength unto THY holy habitation.14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.15 Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.16 Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of THINE arm they shall be as still as a stone; till THY people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which THOU hast purchased.17 THOU shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of THINE inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which THOU hast made for THEE to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which THY hands have established.
Isn't it the same with us, the born again church today? Doesn't our faith in God increase as we read these Old Testament examples which show God dealing with HIS people?
God will deliver the New Testament church which is born again and take them to the new heaven and the new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness which HE has created for the elect of God.
Revelation 21
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their God.4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
💥💥💥
These bodies we have now will not go into heaven with us. We will be changed into new spiritual bodies.
I Corinthians 15
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
(Blink: That is how quickly we will be changed into our new spiritual bodies.)
These current bodies experience physical pain and sorrow, emotions of the flesh.
In the new heaven and new earth, the "new" Jerusalem, there will be no more pain nor sorrow because we will not have these fleshly bodies whereby pain and sorrow occur.

Exodus 15
18 The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.
19 For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.
(A man once said to me that Pharaoh didn't drown because the Cecile B. Demille, movie, The Ten Commandments", showed Pharaoh standing on the banks when the Red Sea came back to normal. I took a Bible and read to him Exodus 15:19 For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; Then I said, "Now what do you think?" He replied, "Pharaoh died in the Red Sea." You cannot get your Bible doctrine from such things as Hollywood movies.)
💥💥💥
Exodus 15
20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.21 And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for HE hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath HE thrown into the sea.
Seeing their enemies, the Egyptians destroyed, caused them to rejoice greatly.
Their problems on this earth were now ended!
They started forth in peace and joy ... through the wilderness.
💥💥💥
Then immediately there was a problem in the wilderness.Exodus 1522 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
(Murmured: complained)
The children of Israel should have known it was GOD leading them for they witnessed the miracles of GOD which HE performed in Egypt to get them free from the Egyptians. None but GOD could do such things.
GOD was leading them through the wilderness by a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night to show them exactly where to go.
Wouldn't GOD be able to provide for HIS people in the wilderness?
Don't we today have faith in GOD based on those things we have seen GOD do for us in the past?25 And he (Moses) cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet:
There HE made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there HE proved them,26 And said,
If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in HIS sight, and wilt give ear to HIS commandments, and keep all HIS statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.27 And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.
💥💥💥
These Old Testament examples teach us today:
We go forth on this earth in great peace and joy in God ... Then a problem surfaces ... We are troubled ... We call on God for help ... God shows us what to do in the problem ... We do that which God shows us and it works and we again rejoice that God helped us in the problem ... We are again going forward in peace and joy, resting in God ... Then a problem surfaces ...
Thus the apostle Paul says:
Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (The Word).
Psalm 23
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.2 HE maketh me to lie down in green pastures: HE leadeth me beside the still waters.3 HE restoreth my soul: HE leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for HIS name's sake.4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for THOU art with me; THY rod and THY staff they comfort me.5 THOU preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: THOU anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ...
God set everything perfectly for the deliverance of the children of Israel from Egypt.
(600,000 men plus women and children)
God is going to lead them to the point where their back is to the Red Sea. Then Pharaoh starts chasing them with his 600 chariots and there is no where for them to go to escape Pharaoh because the Red Sea is to their back!
God will use the Red Sea to destroy Pharaoh and his men and to save the nation of Israel.

Exodus 14
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea.3 For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.4 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD.
And they did so.
💥💥💥
Exodus 14
5 And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?6 And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:7 And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.8 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.9 But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.
💥💥💥
God is going to kill Pharaoh and his army:
Exodus 1410 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
(The children of Israel "murmur", complain, against Moses but really their complaint is against the Lord for it was HE who led them out of Egypt.)12 Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.
(They forgot how Pharaoh commanded that their male babies be killed as soon as they were born!)
💥💥💥
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which HE will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
The children of Israel had just witnessed the great wonder of God where God destroyed all the first born of the Egyptians.
We should think on some of the things God has done for us in our lives so our faith in God can be increased and so we can endure when the trials of this life try us.
God has led me faithfully since I was born again in 1975, and even before I was born again.
As I think of the things God has done, I am greatly helped.

Exodus 14
15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto ME? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get ME honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten ME honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

Exodus 14
19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them (the Egyptians), but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.
💥💥💥
Exodus 1421 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
(As the children of Israel entered into the dry land between the two banks of water in the Red Sea, the wall of water was on their right and left hand with Pharaoh and his chariots pursuing behind them. There was no way for them to go but forward, through the Red Sea.)23 And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.24 And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,25 And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.
💥💥💥
26 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.27 And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.29 But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
💥💥💥
Exodus 14
30 Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.31 And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.

I Corinthians 10
1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

2 Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
💥💥💥
In Genesis 15, God promises Abraham a great nation would come from him and they would serve in bondage but in 400 years they would be delivered with great substance.
Genesis 15:13-14 And HE (God) said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
God told Abraham they would be afflicted in Egypt 400 years. But in Exodus we read they came out of Egypt in 430 years.
What God explained to me is this: The children of Israel were afflicted by the Egyptians 400 years. But in the early years when Joseph was living, the children of Israel lived in peace and they were not slaves until after Joseph's death and after a new Pharaoh came who knew not Joseph.
💥💥💥
God delivers HIS people from Egypt:
Exodus 12
30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said.32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.
💥💥💥
Exodus 12
34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:36 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
💥💥💥
37 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.
(When the children of Israel came into Egypt during the famine, there were approximately 70 men. As they leave Egypt 430 years later, there were 600,000 men, plus women and children. God told Abraham HE would greatly bless his seed. And they will grow even greater as a nation in the years to come.)38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.40 Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.42 It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the LORD to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.
(And it is important that we of the NT church today remember what great things God did for the children of Israel when God brought them out of Egypt to go to the land which God had promised to them.)
God will deliver us, the elect of God, from this present world when Jesus returns through the clouds.
Matthew 24:31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
💥💥💥
Exodus 13
17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:18 But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.19 And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.
Joseph, by faith that God would deliver HIS people from Egypt, made them promise to carry his bones out with them. This statement by Joseph was an act of faith in God.

2 Peter 2

Exodus 13
20 And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:22 HE took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

Today God leads us by HIS Holy Spirit who lives in each of the born again children of God.
I Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Jesus says:
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.
1 Corinthians 2:9-14
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

4 And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
The passover of the angel of death who saves the firstborn of Israel but kills the firstborn of the Egyptians:
Exodus 12
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover.
(Be ready to go.)12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
(NT: Blood of Jesus our passover.)
We think of the blood of Jesus today for by HIS blood we are saved in this time of the New Testament church.

Exodus 12
21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. (Do what God shows you.)
23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when HE seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

Exodus 12
28 And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

I Thessalonians 4
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (go before) them which are asleep.16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
(We will meet the Lord "in the air" because this present heaven and earth will be destroyed by God by fire and will not be here anymore.)

2 Peter 3
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

We will be given new spiritual bodies:

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
(Blink: That is how fast we will be changed into our new spiritual bodies.)53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

We will be taken to the new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

God sends HIS plagues upon Egypt

Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ...
In the previous Podcast, we saw the first plague that was sent upon Egypt by God: the rivers and waters were turned to blood (Exodus 7)
After this, one by one, God brings the other plagues upon Egypt.
* Exodus 8:1-2 And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let MY people go, that they may serve ME. 2 And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:
3 And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs:4 And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants.

* Exodus 8:16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
17 And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

* Exodus 8:20-23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let My people go, that they may serve ME. Else, if thou wilt not let MY people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.22 And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which MY people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.
23 And I will put a division between MY people and thy people:

* Exodus 9 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let MY people go, that they may serve ME.2 For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,3 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.4 And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.5 And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.6 And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

Exodus 9 And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh. 9 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.

Exodus 9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let MY people go, that they may serve ME. 14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like ME in all the earth. 15 For now I will stretch out MY hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth. 16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee MY power; and that MY name may be declared throughout all the earth. 17 As yet exaltest thou thyself against MY people, that thou wilt not let them go?18 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
19 Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die. 20 He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses: 21 And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.
22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
33 And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.35 And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.

Exodus 10
1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these MY signs before him:2 And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.3 And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before ME? let my people go, that they may serve ME.4 Else, if thou refuse to let MY people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:5 And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:6 And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.
7 And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed?

Some of the elect of God will be on the earth at the time of the great tribulation:
Jesus says:
Matthew 24:21-22
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Exodus 6
1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.
2 And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by MY name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.4 And I have also established MY covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered MY covenant.6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:7 And I will take you to ME for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.8 And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.9 And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.10 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,11 Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.12 And Moses spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?13 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

1 And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.2 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
10 And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.
They try to copy of people of God today in the churches. But they fall short because:

Genesis 713 And HE (God) hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.

25 And seven days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had smitten the river.
This is the first plague sent by God upon the Egyptians.

At the end of this present world, God send's HIS judgments upon this world in the form of "The Great Tribulation."
These "woes" will be worse than anything ever to strike this world. (Rev. 8; 9; 16)
Some of those things that will happen in the end times are as follows:
Acts 2:16-21 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Revelation 6
12 And I beheld when HE (Jesus) had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of HIM that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:17 For the great day of HIS wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ...
In the NT, Jesus shows us the Word will divide us from those who have not been given God's Word on the matter at hand.
Matthew 10 Jesus says:
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
(Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.)
Think of the Word of God as a sword which cuts through the flesh of man and separates.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.37 He that loveth father or mother more than ME (the Word) is not worthy of ME: and he that loveth son or daughter more than ME is not worthy of ME.38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after ME (the Word), is not worthy of ME.39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for My sake (for the sake of the Word) shall find it.
The Word of God divides us from those people who have not heard from God.
But the Word of God also joins us with those people who have heard from God.We know the Word from God is good and it is sometimes shocking that others, especially when in our church group, fight against that Word we bring from God.
Pam Padgett encountered this when she told a divorced woman from her church group that if she remarried she would commit adultery.
This woman said, "I don't care what the Bible says. I know what I think."
Pam was so shocked to hear that a Christian didn't care what the Bible says.
But many who attend churches are not born again and God has not revealed HIMSELF to such who live this way.

Moses and Aaron bring the Word of God to Pharaoh:
Exodus 5
1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let MY people go, that they may hold a feast unto ME in the wilderness.2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey HIS voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.3 And they (Moses & Arron) said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest HE fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.4 And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.5 And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.
Those who are not of God see the Word exactly opposite from those persons who are of God. The Word is a sword dividing us from the unbelievers.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
I Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
But sometimes when we carry the Word of God to them and speak that Word, God will open their eyes and they will be saved by that Word.
In the case of Pharaoh, God had already told Moses Pharaoh would not let them go. But after God showed HIS miracles Pharaoh would let them go. So Moses knew the end from the beginning by that Word which God had revealed to him.

Exodus 5
6 And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,7 Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.
(So Pharaoh greatly increases the daily work load of the children of Israel because of that which Moses and Aaron have carried to him. This is persecution "for the word's sake.")8 And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.9 Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.

10 And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.11 Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.12 So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.13 And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.14 And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?15 Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants?16 There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people.17 But he (Pharaoh) said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD.18 Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.19 And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.

20 And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:21 And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.
💥💥💥
22 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast THOU so evil entreated this people? why is it that THOU hast sent me?23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in THY name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast THOU delivered THY people at all.
God answers Moses:
Exodus 6
1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.2 And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by MY name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.4 And I have also established MY covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered MY covenant.6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:7 And I will take you to ME for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.8 And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.9 And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

Exodus 1
7 And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land (of Egypt) was filled with them.8 Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.9 And he said unto his people (to the Egyptians), Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:10 Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they (the Egyptians) were grieved because of the children of Israel.13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.

Exodus 1:15-17 And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:16 And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.17 But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.

During this period of time, Moses was born.
When Moses could no longer be hidden, he, as a baby, was placed into "an ark of bulrushes, and daubed with slime and with pitch, and she put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink." (Exodus 1:3)
Pharaoh's daughter came upon the ark and took Moses into her house to raise Moses as her own son.
Exodus 2
10 And the child grew, and she (the woman who had been nursing the baby Moses who was Moses' real mother) brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.13 And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he (Moses) said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow?14 And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.

The purpose of our review of the Old Testament is to focus on that which God said to HIS elect.
Now God is going to reveal HIMSELF to that man that HE has chosen, the elect of God, the man Moses.
Exodus 2 (Moses lives in the land of Midian for 40 years and is given a wife and has two sons. Then the king of Egypt dies.)
23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered HIS covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

Exodus 3
1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.5 And HE (God) said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

God identifies HIMSELF to Moses:
6 Moreover HE (God) said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of MY people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto ME: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth MY people the children of Israel out of Egypt.11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?12 And HE (God) said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.
💥💥💥
13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is HIS name? what shall I say unto them?14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and HE said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
💥💥💥
15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is MY name for ever, and this is MY memorial unto all generations.16 Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:17 And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.18 And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.19 And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.20 And I will stretch out MY hand, and smite Egypt with all MY wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.
Exodus 4
1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.
2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.3 And HE (God) said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:5 That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.6 And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.7 And HE (God) said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.13 And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.14 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and HE said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.17 And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.18 And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.

You might not realize God is speaking to you

Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ...
God has spoken to me many times. I've never had God say to me, "I am God speaking." HE just brings truth to my mind and opens my eyes to see truth. Mostly I do realize that which was spoken was not coming from me but from God.
I think it might help you to reread those times God spoke to Pam. God might use these examples to show you HE has been speaking to you but you failed to recognize it was God. (We published that Podcast on August 26, 2021.)
On this Podcast we are going to focus on that which God has spoken to you.
Consider this question:
What has God spoken to you?
Again I encourage you to sit down and make a list of those Words which you believe to have been spoken to you by God.
For when we are children of God, God speaks to us, HIS children.
Just ask God to bring to your mind those things HE has said to you.
After you list things you believe God spoke to you, we would enjoy it very much if you shared those things with us. If you would send me an email I could put these in with other words spoken to other people of God and that would edify the body of Christ.
Send these by email to: jesusministries@comcast.net

Genesis 27 (After the death of Sarah)
1-2 Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah. And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.3-4 And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim. 4 And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah (Abraham's wife after Sarah's death.)5 And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.
(Isaac was the child of the promise.)6 But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.
Genesis 25:11 And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahairoi.
💥💥💥
Isaac had two sons. Jacob was the child of God. Jacob had a twin brother, Esau, who was the elder. Even before the children were born, God chose Jacob, the younger son and later spoke to Jacob directly, identifying HIMSELF to Jacob.
(Romans 9:10-13 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; 11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of HIM that calleth;) 12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. 13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.)
Genesis 25:20-23 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian. 21 And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. 22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
Rebekah knew God had chosen her younger son, Jacob over Esau.
💥💥💥
Genesis 26
34 And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:35 Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.
Genesis 27:46 And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?
💥💥💥
Genesis 28
1 And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.2 Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother.3 And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people;4 And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.5 And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.
Esau is going to try to please his mother and father by copying what Jacob, the elect of God, has done.
So Esau, thinking by his fleshly mind, goes to the granddaughter of Abraham to marry her, a granddaughter of Abraham, whose father was a son of Abraham, Ishmael.
(The natural man who tries to copy the elect of God is always off in his thinking, like a radio station which is a little off the center of the sound dial.)6 When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;7 And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram;8 And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;9 Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.
For Esau reasons this woman, the grandaughter of Abraham, will please his father Isaac and his mother Rebekah. But Ishmael was not even allowed to continue in Abraham's household, so his daughter would not please Isaac and Rebekah.
Concerning Isaac and Ishmael ...
Genesis 21:8-12 And the child (Isaac) grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned. 9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking. 10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac. 11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
So Ishmael, the son of Hagar, was cast out of Abraham house. But Esau seems to miss this fact and he marries a daughter of Ishmael thinking this will please Isaac and Rebekah.
I Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Esau was "the natural man" and he could not please God. Neither can we please God unless we are born again by God and given the Holy Spirit to live in us and guide us and teach us for the Spirit of God searches the heart of God to reveal the will of God to us. (I Cor. 2) So when we hear from the Spirit of God and follow HIM, we please God.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
We cannot understand the things of God until we have been born again by God and created as a new creature who is led by the Holy Spirit of God who is given us by God.
II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
When we are born again it is by the will of God and God speaks to us and reveals HIMSELF to us, changing us into new creatures who now have the Holy Spirit of God living in them to guide them in ways of God.

Genesis 39
1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.4 And Joseph found grace in his sight (in the sight of the Egyptian), and he served him: and he (the Egyptian) made him (Joseph) overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his (Joseph's) hand.
5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.
6 And he (the Egyptian) left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat.
And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.
💥💥💥
7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.8 But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.13 And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth,14 That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice:15 And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled, and got him out.16 And she laid up his garment by her, until his lord came home.17 And she spake unto him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me:18 And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled out.19 And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled.20 And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.
💥💥💥
21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.

God speaks to HIS Children showing HIS election to HIMSELF.
We see that God spoke to Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob.
Next in line is Joseph. Of the 12 children of Israel, it was Joseph who was chosen by God. And to Joseph, the elect of God, God spoke through dreams to show Joseph HIS calling.
Genesis 37
Dreams:
5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.6 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:
(This is the Word of God that Joseph speaks to his brothers and father.)7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.8 And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?11 And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.

God speaks to us by thoughts brought by the Holy Spirit, by dreams, by words carried by angels,
God speaks and when the word comes to us often that Word of God divides us from those persons who are not of God.
Jesus explains:
Matthew 10
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.37 He that loveth father or mother more than ME is not worthy of ME: and he that loveth son or daughter more than ME is not worthy of ME.38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after ME, is not worthy of ME.39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for MY sake shall find it.

God speaks to Joseph by 2 dreams.
And Joseph's brothers hated Joseph and envied him.
Jacob (Israel), Joseph's father, sent Joseph to see how his brother's were doing in caring for the herd.
The brothers were going to kill Joseph.
But this happened:
Genesis 37
18 And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.19 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.21 And Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us not kill him.22 And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.23 And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him;
The brothers killed an animal and dipped the coat of many colors into the blood of the animal and took the coat to Joseph's father to make his father think an animal had killed Joseph.
His father had given Joseph a coat of many colors because Joseph was his favorite son among the 12 sons.24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.25 And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.26 And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.

As we share those dreams God has given us and as we share the words God has spoken to us we help the body of Christ and often even cause others in the body of Christ to remember things God has done for them, thus causing them to have their faith in God increased. We see the working of God in the testimonies which we and others give to the people of God.Philemon v. 6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
