One Sunday morning in 1983 I was sitting in the Metrochurch auditorium waiting for the service to begin when the following was strongly brought to my mind ...
"What are you doing here? I told you to get out. Now get out."
I was so shocked to hear this that I sat in stunned silence during the service.
Could this possibly have been from God? I wondered.
I began talking with God about this, asking HIM if this message was from HIM and, if so, when had HE previously told me to leave Metrochurch?
During the following week I was reminded that Joan Boney had shared a dream she had been given, the "Poison Gas Dream", and she warned people about churches which teach and uphold doctrines that are not according to the New Testament Bible.

The Poison Gas Dream (1979)

Destruction was everywhere.
In this dream, a meeting was going on. A man was speaking to a room filled with people. I went in and began to listen.A man rushed into the room and said: "Stop ... Wait ... Can't you see ... It's too late ... It's already begun."The first man resumed speaking.I looked out the window to see what had "already begun."There was a tall pole with a yellow civil defense speaker at top of the pole. A gas was coming out of the speaker. I knew it was poisonous and would kill the people. It was coming directly toward us!The shocking thing was the speaker that was set there for the purpose of warning us was being used as the instrument which dispersed the gas that was poison and would kill us!I looked at the man seated next to me. He had a big grin on his face and was looking directly at the man who was speaking to the group. But then I saw this man was a corpse, though he looked alive. He was already dead!I looked about the room at the other people and realized they were all dead.As I sat back in my chair and listened to the man speaking I began to feel sleepy and I knew as I sat there among them this was killing me too.
Dream ends.God was showing me the anarchy in the church groups, at the time of the dream, 1979. And it is much worse today.

When I had previously read "The Poison Gas Dream", I never considered that this could possibly apply to Metrochurch. This must be a warning for other people, I thought.
But I did not seriously ask God about this.
After hearing at church on Sunday, "What are you doing here? I told you to get out. Now get out.", however, I strongly turned to God.
I became convinced that the message to get out of Metrochurch was from God and that HE had previously told me to get out of that church group through Joan sharing the Poison Gas Dream and warning us about churches which do not follow all scripture.
Metrochurch was not upholding scriptures in the New Testament Bible in which we're told that a man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery and that a divorced woman who remarries commits adultery.

I continued attending the Sunday morning service at Metrochurch.
Since those in the singles group obviously wanted nothing to do with me, I simply sat by myself near the back of the auditorium. (See Chapter 11)
It was puzzling to me that those in the singles group turned from me because I had shared what we're told in the Bible about the adultery that results when a divorced woman remarries and when a man marries a divorced woman.
Romans 7:2-3 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
They carried Bibles and attended church.
But they didn't really care about scripture, what God has said.
This is antichrist.

After several months, I noticed that there were new people sitting in the auditorium, in the area where the singles group sat together.
When an announcement was made that the singles group was going on a bus trip "to minister" to people at a church in Guymon, Oklahoma, I saw this as an opportunity to meet these new people in the singles group.
There was a very strong desire in me to be around people of God, and I convinced myself that surely these people wouldn't be like those who had previously been in that group.
So I signed up to go on this trip and went to the church parking lot at the appointed day and time.
In the parking lot were school buses ... non-air-conditioned, rough-riding school buses ... for a 4-1/2 hour trip ... one way!
And this was in September, a hot time of year in Oklahoma!
To make matters even worse, I tend to get motion sickness on buses.

But I boarded one of the buses and looked at the faces of the people already on the bus, expecting to see friendly-looking people.
But this was not the case.
No one acknowledged me in any way.
I found an empty seat and sat down, then I turned to those around me to say "hello".
But they were focused only on the people they already knew and they were not at all interested in speaking with me.
I noticed a woman sitting a couple seats behind me who was obviously crying, tears welling up in her eyes and dripping down her face.
Although it was clear this woman was quite upset, people around her ignored her.
No one showed any care or concern toward her at all.
I started to go talk with her, but just then someone else sat down in the seat next to her.

After being on the bus for 4-1/2 hours with little communication with anyone else, we arrived in Guymon.
People at the church in Guymon had volunteered to let us stay with them in their homes.
As we got off the buses we were assigned homes where we were to spend the night.
A woman from the Guymon church, who was a widow and whose children were grown and no longer living at her home, had offered to let 3 of us stay with her.
I was assigned to her home along with the woman who had been crying on the bus, Linda ... and one other woman.
(I found out later that Linda had been crying because of how she had been treated by some of the other people on the bus.)
The woman who opened her home to us had made nice preparations for us and was very welcoming. Both Linda and I expressed appreciation to her and visited with her during the evening.
But the 3rd woman from the singles group, who was staying with us, was openly angry that she had been separated from her friends.
She would hardly speak to any of us.
She went to her room and didn't come out.
I was very embarrassed for the rudeness she showed to the woman who had opened her home to us.

The next morning we all met at the Guymon church.
I asked one of the men who was in charge of this trip what we were to do to "minister", but he didn't have an answer.
It turned out that we just sang a couple of songs during the church service.
After the service was over, we got back on the buses and started the 4-1/2 hour trip back to the Metrochurch parking lot!
The trip back was more pleasant for me since I now knew Linda and we sat together on the bus and visited. We continued as friends for many years, until she died.

After leaving the Catholic church I went with friends to a couple of Baptist churches periodically. Although people were friendly at these churches and the music was lively, these churches seemed "dead" to me.
One day in the early 1980's I went to the store and saw a large tent in the parking lot.
In the tent a man was preaching from the Bible. I went in and listened for a while and found what he said to be interesting. He spoke of the difference between those who believe in Jesus mentally and those who believe from the heart. My understanding was this man was an evangelist and was holding meetings for only a few days.
Several months later I began an internship at a counseling center for teenagers. Some of my co-workers there spoke of the new non-denominational church they were going to and I recognized that the man they referred to as the pastor was the evangelist I had heard at the tent meeting, Richard Hogue.
I was told that he and his wife had wanted to settle down in one place to raise their family so he stopped doing evangelist work and "became" a pastor and started this new church called Metrochurch.
(At the time I didn't know Ephesians 4 in which we're told that Jesus gives ministry assignments. A person doesn't decide to start or stop being an apostle, or prophet, or evangelist, or pastor or teacher. )
Ephesians 4:11-12 And HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
I began attending Metrochurch in Edmond, Oklahoma.

At Metrochurch there was a singles group that met one evening each week. Although I worked evenings, when possible, I went to the singles group meeting during my dinner break. When I first began going to this group, they met in a small room with less than 10 people. To me the people in the group seemed to care about things of God.
After not being able to go to the singles group for several weeks, when I returned I was surprised to find that they were now meeting in the main auditorium and there were well over 100 people there.
There was a new leader, a new pastor at the church, and there was lots of singing and clapping of hands. The meetings were now more of a social gathering than they had been before and there were many people that I had never seen when the group was small. In fact, I seldom saw anyone I had met when the group was small.
In this large gathering, I met a woman, Cindy, who had a room to rent in her house. I was looking for a place to live while I finished my studies and I decided to rent this room in Cindy's house.
Cindy had been married and divorced twice and had a daughter about 6 years old.
At first she seemed content to remain single and raise her daughter, but several months later it became clear that she was looking for another husband.
I shared scripture with her which tell us that if a divorced woman re-marries she commits adultery and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Scriptures such as:

While I was in college in the 1970's, my college friend, Connie Jo, and I would often talk about things of God.
One day as we were talking I mentioned something about Mary, the mother of Jesus, being "assumed" into heaven.
Connie Jo asked me, "Where is that in the Bible?"
I responded, "I don't know where it is in the Bible, but I'm sure it is there because we were taught about this in the Catholic church."
We had been taught that Mary was taken into heaven much as Jesus was taken into heaven as told in the following scripture.
Acts 1:9. And when HE (Jesus) had spoken these things, while they beheld, HE was taken up; and a cloud received HIM out of their sight.
However, when I looked in the Bible for an account of Mary being "assumed" into heaven, I couldn't find any mention of this.
Surely I was just overlooking it! (I thought.)
At that time I was still attending Catholic church.

When I went to my parents' home one weekend, I looked this up in their Catholic Books of Knowledge, a 3-book set of encyclopedias which told about Catholic doctrine.
I was shocked to read that Mary being assumed into heaven was not in the Bible!
It was explained in these books of Catholic doctrine, that the report of this event had been passed down from generation to generation but was not in the Bible.
This is the first time I saw that a doctrine taught in the Catholic church wasn't in the Bible, and it was quite puzzling to me.

As I continued reading in the Bible, and as Connie Jo and I talked, other Catholic doctrines came to light which were either not in the Bible or conflicted with what I read in the Bible.
I started a list of these things.
Although I no longer have that list, I recall some of the things that were jarring to me as I read the Bible during that time, for it didn't line up with that which had been taught in the Catholic church.
(There was a difference between Bible and the Catholic doctrine!)

After my 5th year of elementary school my family moved to Oklahoma. There was no nearby Catholic school, so we attended public school.
However, my parents still took us to Sunday Mass and to catechism classes each week, so the teachings of the Catholic church continued to be reinforced in my life.
One such teaching is that the Catholic church is the only true church and that it is a sin to leave the Catholic church.
We were also taught that "lay people", non-clergy, should never read the Bible for we could misunderstand it.
They said that priests and nuns would teach us what we needed to know.

Although I didn't refuse to go to church or catechism class, I had little interest in anything to do with God or religion. I was just waiting until I graduated from high school and left my parents' home at which time I planned to live as wild as I could until I was 30 years old (too old to care about having fun, I thought). Then I would settle down and do religious things.
I had everything planned out ... I thought ...
Then one day during the first week of my sophomore high school year, one of the boys in our class, Tommy, didn't show up for school.
Before lunch we learned that Tommy had been killed in a motorcycle accident on his way to school that morning.
I was very shaken by this news.
It had never occurred to me that someone my age could die and I was terrified, knowing that if I had died that morning there was no way I would go to heaven, that I would go to hell.
Somehow I "knew" very strongly that none of the things I had been taught in the Catholic church could help me.
My only hope was God.

So I wanted to pray and ask if God would somehow help me, but then realized that I didn't know "who" to address this prayer to.
(We had been taught in the Catholic church that there is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, but which one should I pray to?)
This matter of asking God to somehow help me was so important that I wanted to make sure the "right one" received this prayer.
So I began my prayer saying "I know there is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, but I don't know who to pray to. So please get this prayer to the right one."
Then I asked that if there was any way to save me from going to hell, to please do so.
I didn't know anything else to do. My fate was in God's hands.

There was a bookmark inside the cover of a large Bible that was kept on a coffee table at our house.
(We didn't read this Bible; we just dusted it each week.)
My attention was drawn to that bookmark and the following scripture on it stood out to me.
Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus says: Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.
Reading this was a comfort to me.

Then I found that I began to have a strong desire to read the Bible.
Although I didn't have a Bible of my own, my younger sister had been given a small "New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs" which she had put in a drawer and never used.
I found that New Testament and would read from it with a flashlight at night.
Although we had been taught in the Catholic church that "lay people" should never read the Bible, I don't remember being afraid to read the Bible.
However, I thought my parents would worry if they knew I was doing this, so I would read at night using a flashlight after everyone else was asleep.

Over the next several months I began to be aware of something I could only describe as "something of God was in me". I had no idea what this was, but I knew it was real.
At all times I was aware that God was with me, and I would talk with HIM at times during the day. And sometimes I was given information which I knew had to be from God.
For example, one day while waiting for class to begin I was visiting with a few other girls in the class. One of the girls said, "You'll never guess where I went yesterday afternoon". I was surprised that from within me I knew where she had been and I said "You were at the cemetery at Tommy's grave." She said that was right and that I must have seen her there. I told her I had not seen her there, but she had gone on talking and didn't seem to hear what I said.
(spiritual gift: "word of knowledge" I Cor. 12:8)
I knew this was something I had no way of knowing, and that this information must have been given to me by God.
Another example was during my senior year of high school. There was a high school basketball game one evening, but I wasn't able to go to it because my parents wanted to go visit my older sister who was away at college. When we returned home, one of my mom's friends called to tell her there had been a serious car accident involving two of the boys from our school who were going to the basketball game. That night I was given a dream in which I was shown the two boys who had been in the accident and that one of them, Steve, had died. Like me, Steve was a senior.
The following morning my mom came to my room to tell me who had died in the accident, but I told her that I already knew that Steve had been killed.
I knew that God had given me this information by that dream.

Jesus says:
John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

When I started attending college the next year, I met a young woman who told me she was a Christian. Connie Jo and I became very good friends and enjoyed talking about things of God. She gave me a full-size Bible for my birthday and I enjoyed reading it very much.
One day while reading in 1 Corinthians, I saw scripture that explained exactly what I had described as "something of God in me" ...
I Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?I Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
It is the Holy Spirit that is in me!

I was taken to the Catholic church from the time I was a baby. Following Catholic doctrines and traditions was the way of life for my family.
I was baptized at a Catholic church as a baby.
(In the New Testament we see that we are baptized after we are born again, not as babies.)
Acts 8:36-37 ... and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

My parents took my two sisters and I to the Catholic church for Mass each Sunday and sent us to the Catholic elementary school.
(No where in the Bible are we instructed to perform rituals called "Mass")

Catholic priests were welcomed visitors at our house. I recall one priest, whom my parents especially liked, coming multiple times to our house.
("Priest" is an Old Testament term, but is not used in the New Testament church. Ministers given by Jesus to the New Testament church are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers. Ephesians 4:11-12)

My mom kept a bottle of "holy water" from the Catholic church in the refrigerator. She would give us a small cup of this water to drink if we became ill.
(No where in the New Testament is there anything about "holy water". The only reference to "holy water" in the Bible is in the Old Testament, Numbers 5:11-31, in which "holy water" is used to determine whether a woman has been unfaithful to her husband.)

During elementary school there were times when my mom seemed very concerned about something. She would prepare an envelope with a note and check in it and send my sister and I to the rectory with instructions to give the envelope to a priest so the priest would "say a mass" for whatever was on the note.
(Under the New Testament we go directly to God in prayer, not going to someone called a "priest".)
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Also during elementary school my older sister wanted to be a nun when she grew up. She found a way to order a child's version of a nun's robe and veil and would go around the neighborhood dressed up in these garments.
(No where in the New Testament Bible are we instructed to wear religious garments such as robes, and there are no such things as "nuns" in the Bible. )

My mom worked with ceramics as a hobby. Among the many pieces she worked with were some statues of religious figures. We had also purchased some religious statues at stores. My older sister prepared an altar for religious statues in the bedroom we shared, and I copied her, preparing an altar for statues I had as well. But I soon lost interest when there didn't seem any purpose for these things. I didn't know what to do with them.
(Religious statues such as these are an abomination to God, as we see in both the Old Testament and New Testaments. We don't worship God through images, for God is a spirit.)
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.

Wonderfully, before my mother died she was born again and began delighting in the Bible and talking about that which she read in the Bible!

Being taught that the Catholic church is the only true church, it never occurred to me that any of these things were wrong.
But they are wrong.
Although I believed everything taught in the Catholic church was correct, to me the Catholic church was "spooky". My earliest recollection of church was when I was 3 or 4 years old, walking up the stairs to the church building and dreading going inside.
Nothing bad ever happened to me in the church building, but it was strongly in me that this was a "spooky" place and I didn't want to be there.
As I grew older, this sense that the Catholic church was "spooky" continued with me.
I thought something was wrong with me.
Later, I was shown by God that many of the doctrines and traditions of the Catholic church are contrary to the New Testament Bible and are antichrist.
I believe God had put this aversion to the Catholic church in my heart, even as a young child.

On August 5, 1975, God spoke to me by HIS Holy Spirit and said: "Joan, you know these mistakes you've been making all these years. Those weren't mistakes. Those were sins."
I was very shocked!
I was staying in the home of my best friend and her husband while recovering from an operation. I walked passed Donna that morning and casually said, "Oh, by the way Donna, I don't think I've been a Christian until now."
She stopped what she was doing and called out to me, "Wait Joanie ... What did you just say? ... Come back here."
I told her what had happened the night before when God spoke to me and how now I think I really am a Christian.
I thought I was a Christian because I had been baptized in water but now I really felt a change had happened inside me. I could feel I was very different, although I couldn't explain exactly how I was different until later.
I Cor. 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Now I wanted to read the Bible! I wanted to go to church and be with other Christians! I no longer wanted to be around those people I had been around! I just wanted to go to church.

A month or so after this, I was asleep in the night and something happened.
I was "transported into heaven". I knew I was with God and with Christ and with the Holy Spirit, although I saw no physical images. It was a spiritual experience. At that time, I was merged into the body of Jesus, made one with the Word of God, God and Holy Spirit witnessing.
When I awoke, I was really on fire for the Bible and things of God.
Then a few nights later I was transported again into heaven and the exact same thing happened again as had happened the first time I was taken into heaven.
I didn't tell anyone about this for I thought this happened to all Christians after they were born again.
A few days after this, I was having breakfast with my young friend, Bill. He was 10 years younger than I and Bill continually talked about being a Christian.
(Before I was born again, I thought Bill was crazy. He was always talking about how great it was to be a Christian. Bill had been Catholic before he was born again.)
To me, Bill had the same personality of a St. Bernard puppy. He was intently eating his food when I said to him, "You're right about this thing of being a Christian. What I like best about it is that thing that happens to you in the night."
Bill said, "What thing?"
I replied, "I don't know what it is called. It is that thing where you are taken into heaven in the night and you are with God and Christ and the Holy Spirit."
(I noticed Bill had dropped his fork into his plate and he had stopped eating and he was looking directly toward me!)
He said: "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?"
For the first time, I realized this experience with God didn't happen to every Christian.
I had been reading a book entitled, "The Exodus". In that book the author said sometimes when you are called by God to do a work there will be an unusual experience given to you by God.
I did tell my best friend about this happening but she just sat and cried. She was no help at all in finding out what had happened.
After that I just didn't mention this again to anyone.

I Cor. 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
This is what Paul tells us should happen when we gather as the church ... but I've never seen this happen at a church, except in a Sunday school type class.
The main service is usually strictly planned by those persons in charge. There is little room for the Holy Spirit or the gifts of the spirit to operate.
I've often thought, "If Jesus Christ were here today at this church group, HE would not be permitted to speak to the church."
Yet the one thing most of us who are born again would say is after we were born again, we had a great desire to read the Bible and to attend church!
The greatest desire in my heart today is to be able to attend church ... to find a church to attend.
Why is it so hard to find a church to attend, especially after we are born again?
God gave me the following dream in the 1980's:
I went to a very large church building and found the lower seats were already filled with people, so I went upstairs into the balcony. There was one seat available and I sat down there to listen to the speaker. The woman who was sitting in front of me turned to me and said, "You can't see much from that seat." (It was behind 2 pillars that were holding up the roof of the building.) I replied, "Oh ... there's never much to see at these places anyway."

The leaders changed the gathering of the church from that which Paul said we were to do when we gather as the church and by doing this change and allowing only a few "approved" by themselves to speak to the church, they eliminated many words from the Lord which would be spoken to the congregation if all were free to share that which God had said to them and that which God had done with them as the apostle Paul said to do when we come together as the church. (I Cor. 14:26)
And as a result of this change, many scriptures in the New Testament Bible are kept back from the church and sin has crept in to the point you can't see much difference from these church groups and the world as the churches offer approval to the world today.

When we are born again, God changes us to a new creature. We are not like we once were. We often do not want to do those things we once did. Most of us who have been born again now want to read the Bible. We also want to be with other Christians who are believers and try to do the Word of God. We are very different after we are born again.
2 Cor. 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
In the Old Testament, God gave the people this instruction:
Numbers 33:50-53 And the LORD spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan; Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places: And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.
55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
2 Cor. 6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you,18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be MY sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

There are many church goers who worship various idols today.
Some church goers pray to dead people. They think dead people watch over them and protect them.
Jesus tells us dead people are asleep.
Dead people cannot watch over anyone who is living nor do dead people answer prayers.
John 11:1 Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
2 (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped HIS feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)3 Therefore his sisters sent unto HIM, saying, Lord, behold, he whom THOU lovest is sick.4 When Jesus heard that, HE said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.6 When HE had heard therefore that he was sick, HE abode two days still in the same place where HE was.
11 Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.12 Then said HIS disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that HE had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
God answers our prayers when we pray according to the will of God.
I Jn. 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS will, HE heareth us: And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of HIM.
Many church goers worship their church buildings, and their preachers, and their stained glass windows, and their choirs ... but they do not worship the word of God:
2 Tim. 3:1; 5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come ... 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
The building is not the church. We who are born of the Spirit of God are the church.
I Cor. 3 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
I Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
Some church goers make days of the week and other things into idols: Christmas, Easter, lighting of candles, water which they call "holy", mother's day and such.
There are church goers who put objects in religion thinking these objects have certain powers: rosaries, medallions by whom they pray to dead people, candles.
Check the New Testament Bible, for if the object of worship is not described in the NT Bible, then you are worshiping an idol.

Here are several mistakes made by the people in the Old Testament as they went through the wilderness.
I Cor. 10:6-11 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
(murmur means: to complain, especially a continual complaining under your breathe)11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Psalm 106
13 They soon forgat HIS works; they waited not for HIS counsel:14 But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.15 And HE gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.16 They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the LORD.17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.18 And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.19 They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.20 Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.21 They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;

The apostle Paul tells us not to live as the pagans live. When someone dies, Paul urges us to sorrow not as those persons who have no hope. Instead believe in the resurrection of the dead in Christ. And show that truth.
I Thess. 4:13-17 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (go ahead of) them which are asleep.16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Why do we meet them in the air?
This present heaven and earth will be destroyed by God. We will meet in the air for we will be taken to that new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.
II Peter 3:10-14 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Those who have been raised from the dead and those who have been raised from off this present earth meet Jesus in the air and are taken to that new heaven and new earth which is created by God for the saints of God, new Jerusalem.
Revelation 21:1-5 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

I Corinthians 15:49-52 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Genesis 13
10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they (Abram & Lot) separated themselves the one from the other.12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.
I have noticed how wicked people often choose that land which is very pretty.
Sodom was filled with homosexuals "in every quarter" of the city of Sodom.
God sent 2 angels to Sodom to remove Lot before God destroyed Sodom.
Genesis 19:1-7
1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. (know them: have sex with them)6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
(Lot knew these homosexual men of Sodom were "wicked".)

The word, "froward", in the Bible means:
stubbornly unruly
If a person is stubbornly unruly, we must put him far from us, staying away from that person, knowing of his evil speaking.
We cannot take his evil words into our own heart. For if we do, we will find his evil coming out of our own mouth at some point in time.
Words that go into our heart bear fruit, whether good or bad.
Jesus says: for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. (Mt. 12:34)

Jesus says: My sheep hear MY voice. And I know them. And they follow ME. (Jn. 10:27)
Jesus speaks to us, HIS elect, HIS children. Jesus guides us as we walk on this earth so we can go in HIS way, following HIM doing that which HE says.
We learn to hear HIM when HE brings information to us. We know HIS voice and a voice of a stranger we will not follow but we will flee from the voice of a stranger. (Jn. 10:4-5)
It is very important for each of us to collect those scriptures which are called to our attention by the Holy Spirit bringing those scriptures to our mind for we must keep those specific scriptures before us to give us the strength to go in the instruction of those scriptures as we walk on this earth.
Those scriptures brought by the Holy Spirit to our minds are special messages from God at that point in time to us!
They are exactly what we need!
Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
We see the same promise in the following scripture:
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Proverbs 4:20-23 God says:
20 My son, attend to MY words; incline thine ear unto MY sayings.21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
When we see that Word from God, but do not know how to do that Word in our lives, we can ask God for His wisdom. God promises to give us HIS wisdom when we ask in faith for wisdom.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Let us learn to call on God immediately each time we are frightened or each time we need help.
God will show us what to do and give us that which we need to enable us to go forward in peace and in success and in assurance on this present earth as long as God chooses to leave us on this earth.

It is important for each of us to know that assignment which God gives us as we live on this earth so we can go in HIS way set for us.
There are people and things that would pull us off that path if we allowed them to do so.
Proverbs 4:14-18
14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil.15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
Who is it that tempts you to evil? Note those individuals and avoid them. Remove yourselves from that temptation. Make it easy on yourself! Just keep away from such.

God knows future:
Often people go forward and things happen and they say, "If only that hadn't happened it would have worked."
Before making decisions, before going forward, ask God for HIS wisdom. We have a promise from God that if we ask God for wisdom, HE will give us wisdom.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
John 5:30 Jesus said: I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
John 14:26 Jesus said: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.
Psalms 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
Isaiah 45:7 God says: I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
God will not allow more to come upon us than we are able to handle through HIM.
I Cor. 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Proverbs 3
19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath HE established the heavens.20 By HIS knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.21 My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:22 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.23 Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
We have access to God's wisdom at all times and in all things. All we need to do is ask God for wisdom in the issues of this life.

As born again Christians, we have access to wisdom from God. This makes all the difference for those of us who understand this and call on God for HIS wisdom in the issues of this present life.
Proverbs 3
13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
Nothing equals wisdom that comes to us from God by HIS Spirit!

So many people want to be wise of themselves and have other people praise them for their wisdom. Not only is this way very dangerous, but it can be deadly to us.
God knows the future.
If we try to plan out things without asking God, we can easily destroy ourselves with the unexpected.
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Concerning wisdom:
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
God knows the future!
So often a person who plans without consulting God will later say, "If only that hadn't happened."

Things to consider as consequences of having an abortion:* You will be destroying a part of your own flesh, your own child. By doing this you destroy not only your child but a part of your own self and you will never fully recover but will carry this the remainder of your life, for a part of you will have been destroyed. It is a memory you will not likely extinguish.* And another burden: At the time of sexual intercourse, the two become one flesh. So you have already committed to being one flesh with that man by having sexual intercourse with him, for as long as either of you live on this earth you will be one flesh by this act of sexual intercourse for this is the way God created this. You will find it is not so easy to eliminate that sexual partner either.
I Corinthians 6:15-18 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh. (Even if a man has sex with a prostitute he becomes one flesh with that prostitute.)18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. You fragment yourself each time you have sex with another person. You may try to escape this but God ordained that the two become one flesh at the time of sexual intercourse and you cannot change this fact for it is as surely set as the sun is set by God in the sky. Abortion will just add to your own torments. But there are even greater things to consider: Sinning against God and upsetting the course of the way God ordained for this earth and for humans who live on this earth.God's plan is as follows:Mark 10 Jesus says:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. God joined the two together at the time of sexual intercourse. Casual sex cannot be casual.Other scriptures to consider are in this podcast.
That child is God's heritage. You will be killing God's heritage. Therefore you deprive your mother and father of their heritage of a grandchild. You deprive your brother's and sister's of God's heritage of nieces and nephews. If you have other children, you deprive them of God's heritage of having another brother or sister.
You hurt everyone in sight, but most of all you hurt your own self for you have cut away a part of yourself by killing your own flesh, your child.
