Building your house on the word from God

The Word from God is the way.  That Word brought to our mind by the Holy Spirit leads us to life and not to destruction. Proverbs 16:25  There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. But that Word given you by God is life.  Focus on that Word.  Keep that Word before you day and night.  Do that Word. Proverbs 4:20-22  My son, attend to MY words; incline thine ear unto MY sayings.  Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
John 1:1-5  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by HIM; and without HIM was not any thing made that was made. In HIM was life; and the life was the light of men. 
14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
 
THE WORD was made flesh.  THE WORD came to earth in the form of a man named Jesus.
 
Heb. 1:1-2  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE made the worlds;

Jesus says, "Now ye are clean through the Word which I have spoken unto you."

The Holy Spirit brings to our mind scriptures and concepts to show us the will of God and the way we are to go in this present life.We live in peace on this earth, by doing that which is brought to our mind by the Spirit of God.And we are cleansed by The Word when the Holy Spirit brings to our mind information and we make changes to our lives and go in the way of That Word. Jesus says:  John 14:1-5  I (the Word) am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit HE taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, HE purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.   (When we do That Word, we go in a way of godliness.)4 Abide in me (live in my word), and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Jesus says: If ye continue in MY Word, then are ye MY disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free

We, who are of God, will have a Word from God called to our mind from time to time.  As we focus on that Word, God is showing us what to do concerning the issues of this present life.   And as we keep doing that Word, we will later know the truth of the situation with which we are dealing. John 8:31-32  31  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Jesus (The Word) is our light to show us what to do as we walk in this present world

This world stumbles about in the darkness of the wisdom of their minds and in the way of men of this world.  
 
We have a light of wisdom from God which the world can't even imagine. John 8:12   Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me (the Word) shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. We are led by the wisdom that is from God and that gives clarity to us in times of trouble.  God not only shows us what to do but how to do that which HE authors for us. In 1980, I was asleep in the night when a very loud trumpet like voice spoke 3 words to me:  "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS" When I looked it up, I found KWJS to be a radio station.  
 
I said to God, "Are YOU telling me to go on radio?  I wouldn't know how to do that." So the Holy Spirit brought the following information to my mind which would show me how to do "that". In the form of a thought, I heard, "Call the radio station manager." That same morning I called station KWJS and asked to speak to the manager.  He came on the phone immediately.  I said, "God might be showing me to go on radio.  How would you do that?" The station manager said, "Make an audition tape 29 1/2 minutes long and send it to me and if you fit our broadcasting, we will offer you a contract." I made a tape that same morning and sent it to the radio station manager.  
 
Within 5 days I was broadcasting exhortations for the church on radio KWJS. When we hear a Word from God, we have a sure thing and we can go forward with assurance that we are walking in the will of God doing that which God wants us to do.  That Word given us by God is our light. Proverbs 4:18-19  But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
 
The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

When they openly declare their sins before all, bringing destruction upon themselves

Isaiah 3:9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves. In WWII people committed many types of Biblical sins: adultery, fornication, drunkenness, homosexual, lesbian, and such, but they did these sins in secret. To declare your sins openly without shame as we see today, is as the sin in Sodom for which God destroyed Sodom. In Genesis 19:13, the angel discloses the following:  "For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it." When their sins reach into heaven, God is aroused and takes action, judging those people who bring their sins to HIS attention. Thus we see how God's judgment is hanging upon this present world where there is no shame for sin. Time in the sight of God is described as follows: But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (II Tim. 3:8) The judgment of God is coming upon this world in the form of the great tribulation, the 14 plagues. After that this present heaven and earth will be destroyed by God by fire.  (II Peter 3:10) The righteous ones of God will be removed from this present earth and taken in their new spiritual bodies to the new heaven and the new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.  (Revelation 21:1-5) We will not have these earthly bodies in heaven.  (I Cor. 15:49-52) We will have spiritual bodies in heaven which are not subject to decay, pain, emotions.  We will be as the angels of God in heaven.  We live in a time where the sins are as the sins of Sodom, they are not hidden.  This is a prelude to the wrath of God that is coming upon this present world.

More concerning trying the spirits to see if they are of God

For several days this past week, I kept feeling that I'm not doing well enough and that I'm even going to be cut off from God.
 
Of course I kept crying out to God for help. Then the Holy Spirit reminded me of the following: I John 4
 
1  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 
So after being reminded of the above scripture, I addressed that spirit directly, saying, "Do you confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh?"
 
No answer ...  So I asked again ... and this second time I heard a very faint sounding, "no".
 
That ended the attacks by that spirit.  Since I did this by direction of the Holy Spirit that spirit stopped trying to make me doubt. I asked God for help and God choose to give me the information of what to do in this specific matter and it was by the Holy Spirit which I followed by doing I John 4.

Flesh loves to praise other flesh.  Often when we think of a human, that we admire and of all the things that person has accomplished, we are nearly swept away.  Then the Holy Spirit will say to me, concerning that person who has died, "But where is that person now?" All that matters is: "Was that person a godly person? If you want to give something to your children, give your children an example of a godly life in Christ Jesus. This is the greatest gift you could ever give to your children. There is a business which can trace your ancestry and often can tell you which country your relatives lived in before coming to America. But all that matters to me about my ancestors is this:  Were they godly people?  Did they belong to God?  Did they serve God? This is the important thing for each of us.

Jesus said: "Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink." HOW DO YOU DO THAT?

It sounds insane and impossible to take no thought for our lives.  Yet that is what Jesus said to do.  Jesus said, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."  (Mt. 6:33) We, who belong to God, seek the kingdom of God by praying, asking God to show us what to do.  We also read the New Testament Bible and ask God for wisdom concerning that which we read.  And we learn to follow the Spirit of God who shows us the will of God and the way to go in all matters that pertain to this present life. Matthew 11:28-30   Jesus says:  Come unto ME (The Word), all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of ME (The Word); for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your soul.  For MY yoke is easy and MY burden is light. Yoking yourself to the word of God changes everything.

The apostles in the New Testament church today. The work done by apostles.

After Jesus arose, HE gave some apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers.  for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.  (Eph. 4)"What do the apostles do in the church?" I asked our Bible teacher at the church I attended in the late 1970's.   He said he didn't know what they do.  (This church group said there are apostles but I didn't know any at this church group.) Then I asked our Bible teacher, "Who are the apostles at our church?"  He said he didn't know. After that, I asked God to teach me what the apostles do in the church today. And God taught me the work of an apostle, which I share with you in this Podcast.

Ministers ordained by Jesus for the New Testament church today

After Jesus arose, HE gave to the church ministers for the edification of the Body of Christ. Ephesians 4 ...  11 And HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: Some:  apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers Most people know about evangelists, pastors, and teachers, but what about apostles and prophets? A large number of churches today teach there are no more apostles or prophets today. But I know of no place in the Bible showing the removal of either apostles or prophets from the New Testament church. Was Paul the 12th apostle?  Did Paul replace Judas as an apostle?  Was Paul the last apostle? No, Matthias was the 12th apostle, the apostle who replaced Judas.  (See Romans 1:21-26) Paul was persecuting the followers of Jesus even after Jesus was crucified and resurrected. Paul was not the last apostle, but one of the first of the New Testament apostles given by Jesus to the church for the work of the ministry, as stated in Ephesians 4. Concerning prophets:  Are there any examples of prophets in the New Testament Bible working in the New Testament church? Yes, there are examples.  Paul traveled with a prophet, Silas.  Also two examples are given in the book of Acts showing Agabus, a prophet, working in the New Testament church. What about such things as:  minister of music, pope, archbishop, vicar?  Are these in Bible? In this Podcast, I will share with you what God showed me to be the work of apostles and prophets. It is critical to have the church set up according to the New Testament Bible, as Jesus set up the church.   To add anything to the church or to take anything away from the church, as written in the Bible, is to allow antichrist to come into the church and rule over the Bible.

Be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2)

Focus on what the New Testament Bible says concerning the matter at hand.  We renew our minds to the Bible rather than considering that which people say about the subject.   The Bible is truth from God.  Concerning sexual intercourse:  At the time of sexual intercourse the two become one flesh. Paul warns the men of his time:  I Corinthians 6   Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.  16  What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.  17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.18  Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. Notice that Paul says sexual sins are unlike all other sins.  Verse 18:  Sexual sins are sins against your own body. In I Corinthians 6, the apostle Paul also warns about other sins:  And Paul says they that do such sins will not inherit the kingdom of God.   9  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,  10  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
 
Christians are baptized unto the death of Christ that they might walk in newness of life serving God.  (Romans 6)
 
God gives each of us HIS own spirit to show us what to do on this present earth.  (John 14:26 & John 16:13)
 
And we have the New Testament Bible to confirm to us rules of God and the will of God.
 
II Timothy 3:16-17   All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
 
So we renew our minds to the scriptures, seeing the will of God for us.  We establish our way by scripture, building our house on that which God says as we walk on this present earth.

Multiple prophets of old have spoken the same thing about the great tribulation that is to be sent by God at the end of this present world.

Centuries ago, the old testament prophets, Joel, Amos, Isaiah all spoke of the great tribulation of God that is to come upon this present earth.God said:  Shall I hide that which I shall do from MY prophets?   And God did not hide these things from His prophets.  Even before the coming of Jesus in the form of a man upon this earth, God showed HIS prophets of Old Testament these things that were to come. We know these things are coming.  The increase of wickedness upon this earth signals the pending judgments of God that will also come at the end of the time appointed by God. No one knows exactly when these things will happen, but Jesus tells us we do know the"season" as we know when the leaves begin to bud on the trees that summer is near. Noah witnessed the first destruction of this earth and a primary sign was the violence of men. Lot saw the fire and brimstone come that destroyed Sodom and a key sign before that destruction was this:   Genesis 19:4-5   But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.  (Homosexuals came from every quarter of the city of Sodom to have sex with the 2 men who were actually angels, who were at Lot's house.) While many sins were committed in the previous generations, the one thing different now is this:  Sins are flaunted before all without any sign of shame. This is a sign to us that judgment from God is near:

The NFL announces a policy to "STOP HATE" as football players are unleashed against one another!

It is amazing how ludicrous these secular organizations and individuals can be in their good works.A few years ago, a basketball player had his name changed to "World Peace" in an effort to promote peace.  His new name proudly appeared on the back of his jersey. A few weeks later, this same basketball player was suspended by the NBA for fighting on the basketball court.Jesus tells us, the church: John 6:63  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. If we try to control flesh by flesh, we will fail. We succeed by doing the following: Galatians 5:16   Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. The Spirit takes us in the way of God by reminding us of that way, giving us a choice to follow God. The flesh and the Spirit are opposite from one another. So there is a war between our flesh and the Spirit and we learn to choose to walk in God's spirit as we continue to live on this earth. And there are many opportunities to avoid the way of the flesh.

The "beginning of sorrows" spoken of in the Bible. Haven't we already seen that? Next is the great tribulation.

Before the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, HE told us some things to expect to see upon this earth before the second coming of Jesus and the great tribulation and the end of this world. Jesus said:  Matthew 24:6-8   And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. Wars, rumors of wars, famines, pestilences and earthquakes ... which we have seen for centuries. Two other things which must happen before Jesus returns:II Thessalonians 2:3-4   Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. In 1982, God said to me:  The falling away are not people leaving the churches.  The falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures.  (This we have seen for many generations as various denominations are set up by men and doctrines other than those in New Testament Bible become a part of their church groups.)Matthew 24:14  Jesus says:   And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (Hasn't Internet been a very big factor in fulfilling this with both blogs and podcasts?) I believe we have seen all these things happen. No one knows exactly when Jesus will returns and the great tribulation will come, but we are told to "be ready". Most of the people of this world are oblivious to these things that are approaching, but we, the church, know these things are coming and many of us think they are coming soon, perhaps in our own lifetimes.

What it will be like in heaven. What Bible shows us.

In heaven, we will not have these current physical bodies.  God will give us a new body as it pleases HIM.  (I Cor. 15) In heaven:  there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.  (Rev. 21:4) The reason we have physical pain today is because we live inside these physical bodies.  Also we have emotions of the flesh because we live today inside these physical bodies.Before we are taken into heaven, we will be changed out of these physical bodies. I Cor. 15:51-52   Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. Blink!  That is how fast we will be changed before we are taken into heaven. Another thing about heaven:  We will not remember this earth. Isaiah 65:17   For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. We will have new spiritual bodies and our family in heaven will be all in heaven for all who are in heaven will be the children of God, the righteous of God.God and the Word (Jesus) will be our focus and our light.

As we see the day of the Lord approaching, we are told in Bible to exhort each other even more

In the end time, before Jesus returns, wickedness will abound in this world and even in the churches. Jesus says:  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  (Mt. 24:12-13) Also in Bible we are told to exhort one another even more as we see the day of the Lord approaching.  (Heb. 10:25) Exhort means:  to urge earnestly by advice or warning The apostle Paul said:  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (II Tim. 3) We are in danger of our love for the Word of God slipping away because iniquity abounds, says Jesus.We may not want to warn one another, but we must do so. Hebrews 10:26   For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, I witnessed a woman who very much wanted to know things of God in the beginning.  But after about 35 years she changed.  When I spoke to her to share that which God had shown me she went dead silent but when I spoke of a TV show or movie she came alive.  Her love of the things of God grew cold and she eventually left us. It can and will happen to many that their love will wax cold as the iniquity abounds on TV and in the hearts of those people whom they love. We work to keep our love for scriptures and things of God.

Sinners cannot stand in the congregation of the righteous

God put me on radio in January 1980.  After that, hundreds of thousands of people came across my path, hearing the messages from God through the office of a prophet.  (Eph. 4:11-12) At first, individuals delighted in the messages. 
Then God would have me speak a message which was offensive and they departed from me. The truth is in Psalm 1, verse 5: Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. Few church people can stand all the messages from God, for God will bring messages which show their current sins and they run away from the light thinking to approve themselves. Therefore they will not stand in the day of judgment ... and they will not continue on this earth in all those messages that are truly from the Spirit of God.  For to remain, they would have to correct themselves by that message and go in the way of righteousness. Jesus says:   Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.  (Mt. 7:13-14) And they say to the prophets of God:  "Speak not those things.  Speak lovely things." Such people want to be their own gods.

If we live after the flesh, we will die

Our flesh brings ideas to our mind.  The Spirit of God who lives in us brings ideas to our mind.
 
Our flesh and the Spirit of God are contrary to each other, presenting opposite ideas.
 
We must choose to go in the way presented by the Spirit, keeping our flesh crucified by that Word given us by God by the Spirit.
 
This is the entire theme of the early verses of Romans 8.
 
Romans 8
 
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Our own flesh tries to get us to go in a way opposite to God's way.  This is always the goal of the flesh.  
 
We keep control by recognizing danger and deliberately going in a way opposite to the flesh, walking in that way shown us by the Spirit.
 
(Pray always, asking God to help you.)
 
Romans 13:15   But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ (The Word), and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
 
(In the area where you are likely to be tempted, store up scriptures to help you and meditate day and night on these scriptures until they get strong enough in you to overcome your own flesh ... and pray, asking God for help!)

Do you think your flesh can get better? That's not what Bible says!

The apostle Paul said:  For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:  (Romans 7:18) The works of the flesh are these:  Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,  idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  (Gal. 5:19-21) But don't despair!  For the Spirit of God that is in us rises up in us to overcome our own flesh and to direct us in the way of God that we can keep our own flesh crucified by Christ, The Word.Romans 8:11-13  But if the Spirit of HIM that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, HE that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by HIS Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify (stop) the deeds of the body, ye shall live. We learn to keep our own flesh under control of the Spirit of God who is in us.
But our flesh is always flesh and never improves no matter how long we are Christians!
We just control our flesh by the Word of God.

Examples of walking in the Spirit whereby we overcome our own flesh

The apostle Paul says:  Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  (Gal. 5:16) People of this world often try to make their flesh better by setting up "New Year's Resolutions", and such things. This is flesh trying to control flesh and it will not work! (Our flesh never gets better because it is always flesh and the works of the flesh are the following:  Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  Gal. 5:19-21) We, who are of God, learn to control our flesh by the Spirit of God who lives in us as we choose to walk in the way of the Spirit as HE reminds us of things of God to show us the way to go on this earth.  This works! And each time we choose to walk in the instruction of the Word of God, we are conformed once more into the image of Christ, The Word! As long as we live on this earth, we live this way by the Spirit of God, following the Word of God. And at the end of our lives on this earth, we are welcomed into the kingdom of God by Jesus as having overcome on this earth through the Spirit. Revelation 3:5  Jesus says:  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. The great tribulation which is coming. What the Bible shows.

Concerning the great tribulation, one thing we know:  these events will be worse than anything seen by man before or since.
 
Matthew 24:21  Jesus says:  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.The prophet Amos described the great tribulation as follows:Amos 5
19 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
 
One problem after another with no time in-between.  And just when you think everything is settled and you can be at rest, another life threatening problem surfaces, one woe after another.
 
Recently on TV, I heard a woman in Louisiana say:  "We just worked through Coronavirus with our business and the hurricane hit."  (she was crying)
 
In the great tribulation men will desire to die because it is so bad, but they will not be able to die.
 
Revelation 9:6   And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

What are the "perilous times" of the last days?

The apostle Paul warned us:  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (II Tim. 3) It is not like the peril of WWII, which was obvious to us.  We have another type of peril which could even cause a person to lose his own salvation.Jesus said: And take heed to yourselves,  (Lk. 21:34) Mt. 24:12-13   And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
 
What do you do first thing in the mornings?  What do you do just before going to sleep at night? 
Only you can examine that question.
 
Many people like to turn on TV and watch news shows to start their day.  Some like to get their morning newspaper and entertain themselves.
 
What do you do?  
 
For by this you can see the pattern of life that you are following.
 
Do you feed your own flesh?  or the Spirit and your soul?
 
It may seem inconsequential, but it is actually life threatening, for now and forever.

Revelations from God

The apostle Paul speaks of "revelations" from God in the following scripture:
 
I Corinthians 14:26   How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.In a "revelation", God opens our eyes to see something.The first time this happened to me was over the following scripture.Matthew 243 And as HE (Jesus) sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
God explained it this way to me:  Many would come saying I (Jesus) am Christ and because they say "Jesus is Lord" , Christians will listen to them and they will be able to deceive many.
The first time I read this, I thought they were going to say they themselves were Christ.  But if they did that, they would not be accepted in the church by most of the church.  The other way, they will be able to deceive "many".

Works that might be of God and works that God did not author

Unless God authors the work we do, that work will not be a good work though it might seem good to man.   Matthew 7 ... Jesus says:   21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Are you playing around with temptation?   We must not do that.  It can be deadly. Proverbs 623 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:24 To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.26 For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
 
32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
 
The apostle Paul explains:  At the time of sexual intercourse, the two become one flesh, even if you are having sex with a prostitute.  
 
I Cor. 6    16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.
18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
