Recently I saw a documentary concerning Franklin Roosevelt.
They spoke about his famous radio communications with the people called "Fireside chats."
These were very effective.  One of his advisors said to him, "You should do these broadcasts every day."
Roosevelt responded, "No ... if I spoke every day, they would not be as effective.   The people would become less interested.  The broadcasts need to be special."
I speak Podcasts and blog messages daily.  The thought came to me saying maybe I should speak only occasionally.
I turned to God in prayer and asked God what HE wanted me to do.

The Bible tells us of many things to come in the days ahead

I made a trip out of my house on May 5, 2020.  I had not been out since January 15, 2020.  I looked at the mountains in Colorado Springs where I now live and said, "The mountains are still  here!  I'm glad to know that."
Pam Padgett, a member of  the body of Christ who also knows the Bible, laughed.
We both know a scripture telling us there will be a time when the mountains will be gone.  Revelation 16:20
Because of the Bible, we know many things will be removed by God during the last days of this earth.
But because it is God doing this, we who belong to God are not troubled.

When we belong to God, every promise of the Bible is ours

Isaiah 54:17   No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the Lord.
Psalm 89:3   God says:  I have made a covenant with MY chosen.

How do you know when you are called to be a minister?

It is not just a desire that shows us we are to be a minister to the church.  We must be called and ordained by Jesus.  
Ephesians 4:8:11-12   Wherefore HE saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men ... And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;   For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
And when Jesus puts a person into these ministry offices of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher, Jesus gives that minister the spiritual gifts to use in that specific office and the church recognizes "the hand of God" is upon that person when that person presents the spiritual gifts given to him by God.
Only Jesus can give those spiritual gifts.
Many come saying they are ministers but they do not show the gifts from God.  They just speak to us great swelling words which mean nothing.
Those ministers of God have an anointing by God and there is power of God in that anointing to cause us to move in the direction of the will of God in our lives on this earth.

God will remove the people who consume us needlessly or those who would do harm to us by drawing us away from HIMSELF

Some people waste us.  Finally when we speak something of God, they leave us.  Often we grieve because they left.  But we must learn that when we speak of God and they leave, it is of the will of God to protect us.  Sorrow not that you spoke of God to them.

God cares for HIS people

Day by day God leads us, HIS people, by HIS Spirit.  God brings scripture and ideas to us to show us what to do.  As we focus on these, we put ourselves in exactly the right place at exactly the right time.

It is God who gives us wisdom in all things. Therefore we should praise God.

Humans often praise men for their skills when they see them.  And they praise men for their plans that are wise.  But we should remember that all skills and all wisdom are given to man by God and therefore we should praise God.  When we see the great mountains, we should praise God for creating those mountains.  
Many praise men ... but we should praise God who gives all things to men.

God goes before us and makes the crooked places straight

When God works in our lives, miracles often happen before our eyes.  We can actually see the working of God as the way before us is prepared. And God even plants HIS own desires into our hearts so we go in HIS way while thinking it is really "our desire."

The end time "falling away" and the restraint against antichrist

Is antichrist one person?  Many churches teach that it is.  But the apostle John said there were already "many" antichrists in his time.  I Jn. 2:18
The apostle Paul told us antichrist would come through "the temple of God".  II Thessalonians 2:4  
The majority of Christian type churches were looking for antichrist in the leadership of the governments of men.  (The Russians in the 1800's thought Napoleon was the antichrist.)
Paul said antichrist had to come before Jesus could return.  And Paul said there first had to be a "falling away".  II Thessalonians 2:3

We will not be living on this present earth but we will be taken to a new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.  II Peter 3:13

Put on the whole armor of God. How do we do that?

As a new Christian, in 1975, I was having problems with destructive thoughts from time to time. A professor from Dallas Theological Seminary said to me, "Just put on the whole armor of God." I replied, fine: "How do you do that." He said, "Just put on Jesus." I said, "How do you do that?" 
He couldn't tell me how to do that. 
Later God told me.

Idols set up in today's church for people to worship

Is your pastor called "Reverend" by the people at church.  If so, this is one of those idols set up by man in the church today.  For it is not in the Bible to call another human "Reverend" and when we do that, we worship the man and make him into a idol in the church.
We may marvel at pastor's speaking, but we must always remember it was God who caused him to speak these things.  So as we see God behind the creation of the heavens and the mountains of the earth, we see God behind those gifts given to humans.  
So we worship God and thank God for the gift rather than worshipping that human which God created.

Jesus tells His disciples the sign of the last days

God gives us the desires of our hearts

This means:  When we belong to God, HE will put HIS desires into our hearts.  We will find we want to do something and we pray about it and we have no idea that God has planted HIS own desire for us into our heart!
Psalm 37:4   Delight thyself also in the Lord: and HE shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 
(Delight in "the Lord", in "The Word" given us by God by HIS Spirit.)

The end of this world according to the Bible

* The apostasy must come into the churches before Jesus can return.  (II Thess. 2  NASB)
* Jesus returns and the dead in Christ are raised to meet Jesus in the air.  (I Thess. 4)
* Then those Christians who are still alive on this earth, and live by the scriptures, are changed from these physical bodies and raised to meet Jesus in the air.  (I Thess. 4 & I Cor. 15)
* The great tribulation comes on this earth.  (Rev. 8-16)
* This earth and the heavens are destroyed by fire.  (II Peter 3:10)

God is the only one I can fully trust for HE knows the future

Some people will want to help us but they might not be able to do so.  They do not know the future, but God knows the future.  Other people are actually enemies of God, doing fleshly plans, and trying to get us to do what they do.  Some would lead us but they do not know the will of God for us.
When God gives me a word, I know I can do that plan safely.
The devil brings his thoughts to steal, kill, and destroy me.  (John 10:10)
Humans bring their own ideas, but those ideas are risky,
It is only God that I can fully trust!  
Ephesians 4:21    If so be that ye have heard Him, and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: (the Word)

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me

To me, Jesus is The Word and The Word is Jesus.  When I have a word from God on the issue of this life, I have the strength I need to go forward in that word.  Also the Word from God, given by the Spirit of God, shows me what to do in the matter at hand.  And the Word from God by the Spirit of God comforts me in difficult times.
The Word is everything to me ... I can't imagine living without The Word.

Turned over to a reprobate mind

Christians who do not keep God into their knowledge are turned over by God to a reprobate mind.  They do their plans without considering God.  Then they partake of evil and not good.  They destroy themselves by their own willfulness.

Is God unfair to women by HIS New Testament rules?

As far back as Adam & Eve, God set different rules for men and for women.  And in the New Testament Bible, God set different rules for men and for women.  Is God unfair?  Or is God right?

Haven't we done enough sin in the past? Do we desire to sin even more in the time ahead?

The rules of God in the New Testament Bible keep us from doing more sin when we follow these rules.  We free ourselves from sin as we choose to do the NT Bible.  Also we keep our flesh from ruling over us as we do the NT Bible.
A young man once said, "The Bible is so legalistic."
God said to me:  "Men of this world want freedom to sin.  But we of the church want freedom from sin."
The Bible is freedom from sin when we do the scriptures.

Humans often view God as unfair. Humans judge God but in the end God will judge humans forever. We must adjust to the righteousness of God before it is too late.

In the Old Testament, we have many examples of actions of men and righteousness of God.  We can see how God views the works of men by these writings.  Humans often judge God as being unfair.  But God is always righteous and our view of God is often the image of our own fleshly minds.  
It is very good for us to adjust our view to that which we see in the Holy Bible for it is right and we need to put ourselves on God's side before the day that we will be judged by God.
II Corinthians 5:10-11   For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;

God shows details are important to HIM

Christians can be very careless in serving God.  The examples in the Old Testament show us how important it is to do "all" the words of instruction given by God.  And these OT examples show us how important it is to do that which God says to do.
