Iran attacks Jerusalem & other places in Israel:
 
Luke 21  (Jesus says)
 
20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
 
21 Then let them which are in JudaJea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
 
22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
 
23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
Other countries do not unusually attack Jerusalem because many Muslims and even a temple for them is at Jerusalem.  So they sometimes attack Israel but not Jerusalem.  According to CNN's Wolf Blitzard, a Jewish announcer, that is what caught his attention, the fact that Iran attacked Jerusalem.  And that is what caught my attention also because Jesus spoke of  Jerusalem in Luke 21.

We who know the Bible, know one of the most serious things is when armies surround Jerusalem.
 
Tonight Iran sent missiles and drones against Jerusalem.  So far, the Israel and USA air defense seems to have intercepted most of these weapons and have caused them to explode in the air.
 
From a Bible standpoint, this type attack on Jerusalem is a signal for other things, especially the Great Tribulation that is to come upon the world from God and even the coming of Jesus to gather HIS elect.  Matthew 24 speaks of this.  Here is a writing I completed today.

In Matthew 24, Jesus gives us an outline of that which leads up to the end of this world and the coming of Jesus to gather the elect of God to remove the elect from this earth.
 
Matthew 24
 
1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and HIS disciples came to HIM for to shew HIM the buildings of the temple.
 
2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.  
 
(Jesus shows HIS disciples that all these things made by man will be destroyed at the end of this world.)

3 And as HE sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto HIM privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of THY coming, and of the end of the world?
 
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
 
5 For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
 
(Many will come saying "Jesus is Lord" and people will view them as Christian so they will be able to deceive many.  They will come as ministers.  They will also come as people in the congregations.  But they will bring doctrines not of Christ but of antichrist and they will lead people away from many scriptures in the New Testament Bible.  These are the antichrist churches of the end times leading up to the great tribulation which God will send to judge the whole world along with the antichrist churches.)   Revelation 8, 9, 16

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
 
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
 
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
 
(Some of those things have now already passed:  WWI;  WWII; churches departing from scripture of the Bible and setting up doctrines contrary to Christ, antichrist in the churches)
 
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
 
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
 
(Example:  In WWII Germany. People lived in terror for if a neighbor or even their own children became offended they could denounce a person to the Gestapo and cause them to be taken and tortured and even killed.)

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
 
(Today, all over the world, there are false ministers leading individual churches, falling away from scripture of Bible and setting up doctrines opposite to Bible.  antichrist)

(2 Timothy 3:1-6    This know also, that in the last days  perilous times shall come.
 
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
... 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.)
 
(We see iniquity growing worse and worse in both churches and world leaders and individuals day by day, year by year.  Often we are shocked by that which they say and do.  Finally we've heard so much evil from them that we expect to hear such and if we aren't careful we will become hardened to the evil and will be in danger of being swept away ourselves from truth, from God, from Bible.)

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
 
(I've heard many today in church groups say their church has become "watered down".  And politicians in USA have grown worse and worse and integrity is even worse that in decades before and many of us are shocked at that which they say and do.  All this leads up to the great tribulation where God brings HIS own judgments upon both religious and non-religious persons of this whole world.)

(This has been fulfilled through Internet:  blogs & podcasts  This is a major factor showing us we are at the threshold of the coming of Jesus, The Great Tribulation of God, and the destruction of this heaven and this earth ...  2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.)

The key is Jerusalem.
 
Previous attacks on Israel have avoided Jerusalem because people other than Jews live in Jerusalem.
 
Tonight's attack centered on Jerusalem. 
 
Also in Luke 21 Jesus addressed the message to Jerusalem:

20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
 
(As of tonight, April 13, 2024, we don't know how far the attack from Iran is going to go.  At 9:23 pm EST, missiles and drones are still appearing over Jerusalem.)
 
Another important thing to watch for is amount of destruction.  If the Jewish Temple should be hit and destroyed or damaged, I believe this would be significant.

As a new Christian, in 1975, by the Holy Spirit, God showed me to get out of debt and to stay out of debt

I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
 
Jesus tells us what the Holy Spirit in us does for us:
 
John 14:26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 
 
John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.  
 
When God approves us in a project, that is all we need to go forth in faith.  God knows future!  So when God approves our spending that money, we know we will be "safe".
 
It is the Holy Spirit of God that searches the heart of God to show us the will of God for us on this earth.
 
I Corinthians 2
 
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
 
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
 
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
 
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

(In the Old Testament days, the Holy Spirit was not given to all the people of God.  But in the New Testament each child of God is given the Holy Spirit so now we can know God's will for us by that which HIS Holy Spirit shows us.)
 
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
 
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
 
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

As a new Christian, The Holy Spirit called to my attention the following scripture:  
 
Romans 13:8  Owe no man any thing,
 
And HE confirmed it by the following OT scripture:
 
Deuteronomy 28
 
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all HIS commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
 
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
 
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
 
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
 
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
 
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

(Debt makes us into slaves to money.  As we serve that debt, we are not the head but the tail.  And debt can become our master and lead us in ways that are not best for us.)
 
13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
 
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
 
I believed this was the right and the best way to live so I spent much time meditating on these scriptures to enable me to do them. I prayed for God to help me to get out of debt.  Within approximately 6 months, I was out of debt.  And I did what I had to do in future years to stay out of debt.

The Holy Spirit shows us things we are free to enjoy on this present earth

I had my house built in Lubbock, Texas, in approximately 2003.  I put gas logs in the living room fireplace and each time I turned on the logs, I wished I had put wood burning in that fireplace instead of gas. I lived in that house from 2003 until February, 2019.  (16 years)
 
One day, in approximate 2010, I was stopped at a signal light at an intersection.  A pickup truck carrying firewood pulled up beside me.  I was looking at the wood and thinking, "I wish I had a wood burning fireplace."  And the Holy Spirit said to my mind, "You can have that."
 
When the Holy Spirit speaks to me, I'm often so surprised for HE speaks things I never before considered.
 
Of course I could change from gas logs to wood!  All I would have to do is get the Fireplace Store to switch the gas started to log lighter.  Buy fireplace tools and screen.  Order firewood and buy fireplace rack.
 
Immediately, as soon as I got back to my house I ordered 1/2 cord of firewood to be delivered.
 
Then I got into my car and drove to The Fireplace Shop and purchased the necessary items and scheduled installation.
 
Within two weeks the change was made!
 
1 Timothy 6:17 ... Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
 
As we get older, we sometime try to hold onto all our money.  Paul exhorts us to trust in God to provide.  And know this:  "God gives us richly all things to enjoy."  As a good father, it pleases God when we enjoy something that we can afford instead of being tight-fisted and denying ourselves, thinking we might "need" that money for other things.  If we have God's approval to spend that money, that is all we need, for God knows what we will need in the future and God also delights when we enjoy something on this earth.
 
Psalm 84:11  For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
 
You can talk it over with God and ask HIM to show you what HE approves in the matter at hand.
 
If you believe God approves, who can condemn you?  And if God approves, you can move forward "in faith" by that Word HE gives you by the Holy Spirit.

Paul says: My God will supply all your need. Philippians 4:19

God began showing me and telling me in early 2018 that I could no longer continue to live alone as I had been doing.  (I was then 80.)
 
After falling and breaking my left hip and wrist, and knowing I could no longer live alone, it was put into my heart, I believe by God, to move to Colorado and live in the home of a church woman who had demonstrated to me that she had faith in God and turned to God with her problems.
 
She would take in my cat also to share her house with 2 big dogs and her 2 cats!  She flew to Lubbock, Texas, and finally managed to trap my cat and drive my old car and take them back to Colorado Springs in January 2019.  
 
When I was released from hospital on February 24, 2019, she flew again to Texas and helped me get to her home in Colorado Springs by plane.  (I could not walk and was 8l.)
 
The house in Texas was up for sale but had not yet sold.
 
Pam does all technical work needed for the ministry in publishing blog and books.  In February 2020, God showed me, by dream, to begin Podcasts.
 
(The house in Texas sold in June, 2020.  I have no debt and now had almost $300,000 cash, which I put into the bank in Colorado.)
 
September, 2022:  3 1/2 years after I moved here, Pam was diagnosed with deadly bladder cancer.  The doctor said she would be dead in a year or two unless she took chemotherapy and they surgically removed her bladder. 
 
I was certain God would not move me here and then permit Pam to be killed.
 
James 1:17  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with WHOM is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
 
I began reasoning with God:  This cancer is unlawful.  Pam is 67.  The Bible says with YOU there is "no variableness, neither shadow of turning." 
 
God gave me an open vision.  I saw 3 big blobs and all of a sudden with a loud swishing sound the blobs fell in on each other and disappeared.  (I suspected this was the cancer.)
 
Removal of bladder would require use of a catheter for the remainder of Pam's life, a very dismal prospect.  It would also require surgical time in Denver (we live 50 miles from Denver.).  I can't drive and after a few days in hospital Pam would likely need round the clock nursing at home and I can't prepare my own food nor even feed our 6 animals!)
 
Lots of needs.
 
God worked it out where there was no surgery needed.  There was no nursing time needed for Pam.  There was no pain for Pam.  She didn't even get sick from chemotherapy.  No lifetime living with catheters.  No problem in food for me nor animals.  No need for any extra care.
 
And by April, 2023, Pam's body was totally cancer free by all medical tests thereafter.
 
Here is the story of this provision by God.

The Holy Spirit and a great gift and miracle done for me when I was in my mid-80's

The Holy Spirit shows us the will of God in the matter at hand, and sometime causes us by the Word HE gives us to be able to do that which we could not do.

In 2018, I fell at my house in Texas.  I knew I was badly injured.  I felt my left hip and left wrist were probably broken.  
 
I managed to roll to my right hip and began trying to slide on a tile floor to the room where I hoped to pull the phone cord and cause the receiver to fall to the floor where I could call and get help.  (I was living alone.)
 
But it was so painful, I gave up trying.
 
Then the Holy Spirit said to me:  "You can do this."  
 
That word from God by HIS Spirit saved my life.  I knew I could do that after hearing those words.  So I began inching my way down that hall toward the phone.  It took 4 1/2 hours to get there but I got to the phone.
 
When I pulled on the phone cord the phone receiver fell to the floor and I never saw it again.
 
But a Kindle tablet was under a table charging.  If I could get to that tablet, maybe I could send an email out.  Our small church group was listed.  I did manage to send email:  "Help, fallen."
 
I lived in Lubbock, Texas.  Pam Padgett, who lived in Colorado Springs, 450 miles away, called police department in Lubbock and explained my call for help.  They sent ambulance and in about 10 minutes I had the help I needed.
 
Recognizing you've heard the Holy Spirit and understanding the message HE speaks is often critical to us.

The Holy Spirit brings thoughts to our mind. Then the devil brings thoughts to try to cause us to go a way opposite to the way told us by the Holy Spirit.

Time in sight of God differs from human's view of time

Revelation 1:1  The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto HIS servants things which must shortly come to pass; and HE sent and signified it by HIS angel unto HIS servant John:
 
It is important to understand God's view of time.
 
2 Peter 3  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
 
So in the sight of God it has been 2 days since the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus into heaven.  But man views it as 2024 years!
 
Therefore when we hear that Jesus will come quickly, it is quickly in the sight of God.

Jesus will come.  But the world mocks this statement for they don't know that time in sight of God is different from man's view.
 
Peter assures us Jesus, The day of the coming of the Lord will come!  and soon.
 
2 Peter 3:10-14
 
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
 
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
 
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
 
13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
 
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

God blessed the end of Job more than the beginning

Job the prophet of God suffered many things and endured and at the end God blessed Job greatly.
 
Job 42:10  And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
 
Often there is a period of suffering for prophet's over the word given to them to deliver.  And they often suffer loss.  But God, in the end, restores the prophet and gives him more than he had at the beginning.
 
12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
 
13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
 
14 And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.
 
15 And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
 
16 After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.
 
17 So Job died, being old and full of days.

I suffered a good deal over the messages I delivered in the 1982 period concerning wrong doing in ministries.  Some radio stations put me off the air.  Offering decreased by a good deal.  People left me, even my own staff.  For more than 20 years, I decreased in the ministry, but some radio audience continue and I communicated with them by US Mail and cassette recordings for 15 years, until Internet came. 
 
(Even during those years, I lacked nothing.)
 
Then in 2012 (March) ... God gave me a dream showing me to start writing a blog.  
 
In this dream, a woman was singing to a small group of people.  It was "a little voice" but it was a nice little voice.  And God showed me to start a blog and to begin speaking to people by exhorting the church on this blog.  It was a "little voice" but it was a nice little voice.
 
Where radio had cost approximately "$14,500" per month, the blog cost nothing and went all over the world.  
 
It began March 28, 2012 and we published daily, to date: 16,201 blog exhortations and 1,505,744 downloads.  "A nice little voice."
 
Books published on Amazon began in 2015.  These cost nothing to publish in paperback and e-book. Amazon has a free e-book program and certain e-books go out to readers upon request without cost in USA.  (small charge in other countries)
 
Then in 2020, God gave me a dream showing me to begin Podcasts.  This cost approximately $100 per year. (I purchased recording equipment for approximately $500.)  Uploaded from my dwelling to podcast host.  To date since February, 2020:  1517 posts and 93,200 downloads
 
(I no longer have to travel and distribution is far greater than radio days. At 86 years of age, I'm still able to do this all from my home. The blog and podcast messages are never censored and go all over this world daily for approximately $100 per year.)
 
Matthew 24:14  (Jesus says) And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

I didn't know what that meant.  But very soon God was going to show me.  And it saved me from their greatness and hopefully saved me to go on to eternal life if I can keep the faith to the end.

(Comments by Joan Boney)   I was asleep in the night.  A very loud trumpet-like voice said three words into my ear:  "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS"  
 
I jumped out of bed and wrote "KWJS" on a notepad beside my bed.  I felt it must be call letters to either radio or TV.  It was radio.  I said to God, "Are YOU telling me to go on radio?  I'm a writer, not a speaker.  I wouldn't know how to do that."  Immediately the Holy Spirit said to me, "Call the radio station manager."  So I called the radio station manager at KWJS.  I said, "God might be showing me to go on radio.  How would you do that?"  He told me to make an audition tape 29 1/2 minutes long and send it to him and if I fit their broadcasting, he would send me a contract.  So I made a tape immediately and sent it that same day to the station manager.
 
A woman in Fort Worth, Texas, had been praying for KWJS to put on radio at noon-time a real person of faith.  She turned on the radio at the 12:00 noontime hour one day and a woman began speaking. She cried out, "Oh no, God.  NOT A WOMAN!   She jumped up and was going across the room to where  her radio was sitting to turn off the broadcast.  But before she could get to the radio, she became interested in what I was saying.
 
God had taught me very strongly about faith and taking thoughts captive and following God by HIS Holy Spirit and that is what I began speaking on radio and church people instantly tuned-in to the broadcasts.  
 
The radio spread to several stations from NYC area (Hartford) to Seattle, just as the angel of God had said to me that night in January 10, 1980:  "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS "
 
Then in 1982, God began showing me sins in ministries of several big-time radio & TV ministers in USA and when I couldn't get these warnings to those ministers, God showed me to give the message on my own radio broadcasts, naming the minister by name.
 
Here is what happened then:

Paul tells us what to do when we gather as the church

The apostle Paul told us what to do when we gather as the New Testament church today.
 
So far as I know, there is no church doing these things today that Paul said to do.  (I've never seen this done in any church in the 40+ years that I have been a Christian.)
 
I Corinthians 14:1  (the apostle Paul said)
 
26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm (prayer), hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

(I believe dreams might be "other tongues".  God often sends us information by dreams.  If you share a dream, you need to also have an interpretation of that dream.)

When God called me to be a minister, I asked, What about I Corinthians, where Paul spoke about women keeping silent?
 
I heard this immediately:  Look at what these women were doing.
 
I reread those verses and when I did I felt these woman were asking questions at the meeting, disrupting the flow of the Spirit of God.
 
Prophesy is for the church.  The Bible shows us women who were prophets.  (Acts 21, Philip had 4 daughters who did prophesy.)
 
Luke 2 ... Anna was a prophet ... And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;
 
37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
 
38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

Satan destroys through compromise of the Word that God gives

Doing the Word saves us.
 
The purpose of the devil is to steal, kill, and destroy.  So devil tries to get us to reason the word away, even implying that we can prosper if only we do what devil says.

Antichrist churches today

The apostle Paul shows us how antichrist will work in the end time New Testament churches.
 
2 Thessalonians 2
 
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord)  shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
 
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
 
In 1982, God explained to me the "falling away" spoken of in this scripture.
 
The falling away are not people leaving the church.  The falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures.

The apostle John showed his church group that there were already MANY antichrists in their own church group.
 
I John 2:18  Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
 
The apostle John shows us that antichrist is not one man as churches today are teaching but rather antichrist is a spirit in many men.

(The elders would rise up among them "speaking perverse things" to draw away disciples to themselves ... setting up other denominations ... antichrist ... setting up things in the churches which are opposite to the doctrines of Christ.)

God sent forth 2 angels to remove Lot (Abraham's nephew from Sodom) and to destroy Sodom where men from every quarter of the city were homosexuals.

* The only scriptural reason for man to divorce his wife is if she is committing fornication.
* If man divorces a faithful wife and she remarries, she commits adultery and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
 
I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

I go to physician assistant once a year in order to get a prescription for Ambien sleep aid.  Other than that, I will go in if I really need help with something and can't take care of it with standard over the counter medicine in a reasonable time.
 
I'm 86, and most of the time, I don't have to go to medical office except once a year.
 
But I have learned to pay very little attention to my human body.  Usually it gets well by itself after 2 or three days.  I think God created it that way.  I don't do "preventive medicine", because I don't want to do it.  I don't believe in it.  I have the right to choose.  So I choose.
 
But being a real Christian, I'm really not afraid to die.
 
Recently I was so depressed by something a church woman did, I asked God to let me die.  But God didn't and HE caused things to help me recover.
 
Remember how Elijah asked to die when Jezebel was after him?  But God had an angel cook him a meal out in the wilderness and after Elijah ate, things looked better to him, and he kept doing the work of a prophet of God.
 
The outward man usually perishes.  I really don't consider this to be a big deal as some church people do.  So what?  Life doesn't end just because we die!
 
There is an appointed time of 70 years life in Bible, but some live longer.  Many are already well past that 70 year time and they try to hang on as if they were 20.  I consider this foolish and I choose not to do this nor do I choose to put myself into the medical system thinking to extend life.
 
I only want to live as long as I can exhort the church.  I've asked God to let me die the day I can no longer exhort the church.  (I'm 86.)
 
My PA thought I might be having heart attacks and she offered to administer an EKG to find out.  I thought about her offer, and then said, "I don't think so."  (I don't want to be caught up in this.)  If I die, I die.  I learned to take aspirin when the pain struck and in a few days it stopped.)
 
I've met people who can't do anything much but think about their bodies.  That is a trap I really do not plan to participate in.  
 
(Of course if the pain got bad enough, I might ask for some pills until I could die.  So far, that hasn't happened.  But I'm not trying to live on this earth.  You have to know what your goal is.)
 
💥  My goal is to make provision at my house where I can read more Bible.  I'm totally uninterested in going for a walk or things like that.  And I eat what I want to eat.  I don't mind looking like the homeless woman who can't walk. Sometimes if we do go out in the car, I put make up base over the brown blemishes that have appeared of late on my face.  Sometimes I even put on light lip-stick.  Why not?  But I don't focus on fixing my flesh.  I just cover up a little!

Feed the flock of God. 1 Peter 5:2

As I read the Bible, I find certain verses stand out to me.
 
I write these verses on a piece of paper and thumb-tac the page to a drywall board which I placed beside my bed so when I lie down I can see the accumulation of verses, adding verses a day at a time.
 
When the page is full, I look at the whole page, then get a new page and put fresh verse on it.  I usually throw away the previous page.  There is no end to verses that I need to see so I just go forward through the New Testament Bible (rules for today's church) and then I go into Old Testament where there are many examples of God working and promises of God.
 
So I fill up myself and then feed the church as the Holy Spirit draws these Bible examples out of my mind and mouth!
 
It works well for me.

That God maybe glorified through Jesus Christ (The Word) spoken by us

Each time we speak "The Word", by the Holy Spirit, we glorify God and edify the church!
 
edify:  build the church in the grace of God
 
By our words we share God and cause people to see God working on this earth: helping us, instructing us in the way to go, correcting us to separate us from the way of this world.
 
Romans 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
 
We renew our mind by reading the Holy Bible.
 
Jesus, The Word, is the way to go.
 
Recently when I felt myself growing too weak, I made provision for myself to read more Bible.  I purchased 4 small Kindle tablets ($59 each).  I put nothing on these tablets but Bible.  So when I click on one of these tablets, the Bible comes on quickly.  No emails to distract me.  It is just an electric Bible.  
 
I put one at my bedside.  One in bath area.  One at TV chair.  One in my car.  Every where I live, there is a Bible that I can easily get to and read and even look up key words on Oxford dictionary which is pre-loaded on the Bible and comes up if I hold my finger down on a word in a verse of scripture.
 
I have found this really works well for me and helps me to read more Bible.  This Kindle is easy to hold, being a little smaller than my Kindle Fire 8.  I can even set it so I can read it without my reading glasses.  I like it because only a few verses come on the screen to allow me to concentrate better and not just speed read through the chapter.  I like to meditate on the verse, looking up key words in dictionary.
 
Everything is so mechanically easy and handy!
 
I find I am reading much more Bible as a result of this change.  So it has fulfilled my purpose!

If a man bridle not his tongue, his religion is in vain

5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
 
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
 
Sometimes a person "peeves" us.  But not wanting to hurt that person we learn to call on God to stop us from saying "that" which we want to say.  And when I pray that, God always stops me.
 
James 1:26  If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

Man from church I was attending said he was a prophet and brought me a message

In 1979, I owned a small business in Dallas, in American Indian Arts.  During the time I owned this business, God was also training me for the ministry as apostle and prophet.
 
A man was from the church I had been attending.  He said he was a prophet.  But he proved himself to be questionable in character. (even trying to rape me after we went to a church meeting together)
 
The message he now brought to me:  "Joan ... you know you are supposed to be a minister.  You are dragging your feet ... still operating a business."
 
I tried to argue, saying:  "I've written a book, Taking Thoughts Captive, during the past 3 months."  (He just smiled.)
 
After he left my shop, I'm sure I would have prayed.  I waited a few days.  Then I sent a postcard to my customers informing them I would be closing my business on July 31, 1979, to go into the ministry.
 
I simply was unwilling to go against this word, even when the man's character was questionable.

Devil (antichrist) sits in temple of God showing himself to be God. And people think they have heard from God when they actually heard from devil and they follow that devil.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
 
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
 
The devil tries to speak to us as if it is God speaking and thereby deceives many into thinking they heard from devil when they actually heard from devil showing himself that he is God.
 
Mark 4
 
14 The sower soweth the word.
 
15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
 
16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
 
17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.
 
18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
 
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

The devils brings scripture and ideas to our mind to try to get us to follow him.  He tries to make the Christian think it is God speaking.  The apostle John tells us:  I John 4:1  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:
 
2 Timothy 2:4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
 
Church people are often so excited God is speaking to them, never dreaming it is a devil who imitates God.
 
In 1980's, a young married couple quit the secular jobs and went to Israel to "minister".  They were so excited.  In about a week, they were back at Word of Faith church.  "What happened?" we asked.  They said they could not speak the language in Israel and they could do nothing.  This is example of following devil thinking they are hearing from God.
 
John 10:10  (Jesus says)  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
 
Devils bring ideas to us to try to get us to follow him.  It is happens often.  We are warned many times to be careful and resist devil.
 
I Peter 5
 
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
 
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith,

When God changes our heart and our spirit!

I Peter 4
 
1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
 
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
 
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
 
4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
 
5 Who shall give account to HIM that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
 
6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
 
7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Beware!  God changes us greatly when we pray Psalm 51:10 over ourselves:
 
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
 
We are in for some real shocks!  Those sports teams we were taught to hate, we find they really aren't any worse than our team. They are, for the most part, "flesh" just like other people.
 
And those terrible politicians of the other party!  What happened to my feeling against them?
 
Everything changes when God is in control of my heart and my spirit.
 
Ezekiel 36  (God says)
 
23 And I will sanctify MY great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
 
24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
 
25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
 
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
 
27 And I will put MY spirit within you, and cause you to walk in MY statutes, and ye shall keep MY judgments, and do them.
 
So when we pray, asking God to cleanse our heart and to give us a "right" spirit, we are shocked.  Because HE does and we are in total peace when we give up hatred!
